  1. Saw a lowered, white coupe with sunroof parked in Southbank last night about 9:30pm. Had trader plates.

About 25k all up How many problems/faults have you had with it (please give detail): None How much has it costed repairing these problems?: N/A How much do you get out of a full tank of petrol?: Between 550 and 600kms And lastly, 0-100, how fast do you reckon? A lot faster than my last car (Pulsar)
  3. Danny105, Don't go rushing out and buying a spoiler. There's usually a couple of people floating around who are looking to get rid of their spoiler for a cleaner look. (not me.. i love my spoiler). I've seen a few people swap the bootlids on their cars on this forum to get the look they want. Could save you a couple of grand if you're patient. And in that time, the spoiler may grow on you..
  4. Hi everyone, I also have an "Anniversary" edition with the tan full-leather and my car was first registered in late 2003. I believe it is still (technically)a 2004 car though. Most car companies have next year's models available for sale at the end of the current year. Would be a bit pointless to have an car made to celebrate a specific anniversary, then bring it out the following year as well. Although the Japanese don't always do things in the way you and i would call "normal". Panties in vending machines anyone??
  5. error on previous post everyone. I meant the BMW 335i. I think the 350i is just a figment of my imagination.
  6. fcruz3r, You can't go wrong with getting a V35 coupe mate. Depending on how patient/lucky you are with the auctions in Japan you'll probably pay between 20K - 35K for a 2003 - 2005 V35 Coupe. For that reasonable outlay you get the features, performance and comfort usually found in only the premium European tourers worth triple this amount. If you read reviews for the G35 on the net (the American version of our Skyline) it was frequently compared to the BMW 350i and in many comparisons was considered the better car. Add to this the fact that your car is almost mechanically identical to the 350Z, so servicing is a piece of cake. Any dramas you'll hear of are minor and the positives FAR outway any negatives. Just my opinion. (I agree with all the other points made in this thread. I also get between 500 and 600 km's to a tank with mixed driving. My insurance is $1000 with Just Cars and i'm slightly north of 30)
  7. Nice ride. Congratulations, and welcome to the V35 club!
  8. Hi everyone, Sorry i missed the meet... work commitments. Although my work has provided me with the neccessary funds to buy my fantastic V35 so i'm not that upset. I will also fess up to still having the orange indicators. A few more and we might outnumber the "clearies". I'll definitely be at the next one though and it looks like i'll be the only one with a 70th Anniversary model that still has the cream interior. Sorry BenzLe!
  9. Would love to come down and check out the other V's but i'm stuck with work commitments this Sat. Sorry guys. Count me in for the next one though!
  10. Has anyone heard of a company (or used them) called "Ultimate paint protection". I've heard of car dealers adding this as an extra with new cars and never really looked into it. After looking at their website it says they essentially coat your car with a layer of teflon that protects your paint from wear and tear. Also has the added benefit of making waxing and polishing uneccessary. All sounds a little too good to be true. Any thoughts?
  11. Spotted a silver coupe driving past Dandenong Plaza today at 12:30. Just a glimpse from the back, no spoiler, looked pretty stock.
  12. Thanks for the reply Dwini. Always more comforting knowing you're not the only one with a particular problem. My car also has the original tires. I'm assuming due to the v low km's when i got it that the originals passed the compliancing. Will do the same as you and wait until i put new one's on and see what happens. Until then i'll turn up the volume on the stereo. (or maybe i'll smash my credit card and get a new set of 19's instead) Hicks
  13. I have a 2003 Coupe with the beige full-leather interior. At start-up the pop-up screen proudly displays that i need to "pit". Admittedly this makes me feel a little like a race-car driver, but is getting annoying. I have had the car serviced at Nissan since i got it and the "pit" warning is still there. Anyone know if this is serious or a way of removing this?
  14. Hi everyone, I've been reading the (very helpful) posts for 6 mths and thought i should stop being a passive observer. I picked up a bargain priced V35 back in Aug 08 just prior to the dollar plummeting. Dodged a major price hike! I have a 2003 V35 Coupe in silver. It's the 70th Anniversary edition with the beige full-leather interior. Had only 11700 km's when i got it. (still had that new car smell). Best car i've ever owned, although my previous cars were very average. Only thing i've noticed with the car is i get alot of road noise in the cabin, especially at approx 40kph or 70kph. I've had the alignment looked at and the guy reckons i just have noisy tires. Anyone else had something similar to this?
