$100 and 1 point is the correct penalty. You should be able argue that the late fee should be removed because the police issued an incorrect infringement notice in the first instance and had to re-issue another one.

fellas, the aus300zx guys are running another cruise on the 17 of April. the invitation has been extended to the v-series skylines again. 28 cars on board so far. details below: Please let us know if you're coming. once again, the usual rules apply. this is a cruise for zed cars and v-series only. Anyone turning up in an R33 or silvia will be asked to leave. Also, our cruises don't attract much police attention and we plan to keep it that way. Anyone who drives in a dangerous manner will be asked to leave. Please respect other people's cars as well as other road users. antisocial behavior will not be tolerated. Hope to see some of you guys along =)

hello, this cruise is being organized by some guys on aus300zx.com. They are usually zed car only cruises, but Ross aka Jinxed thought it'd be nice to invite our vq-series cousins along. They are aiming for 40 plus cars, so hopefully a few of you guys can make it. Itd be good to see some different cars along. details: a couple of points: 1. Zeds and V-series skylines only. Don't make a fool of yourself by turning up in your r33 or r34 becuase youll be asked to leave. 2. No muppets. We're a friendly bunch and we like to have fun but if you do burnouts or engage in other dumb shit behavior that endangers people or cars, youll be asked to leave (and probably filmed). 3. Please leave your screen name in this thread with vehicle youre bringing (i.e. v35, v36, z33) 4. have fun! see you there Olly

some points: 1. an off duty cop can only book you for speeding ONLY if they have their ticket book with them. Having worked with cops, i can say that only a few traffic cops tend to carry their ticket books on them whilst off duty. 2. The post above is correct: don't stop unless you see blue flashing lights OR they give you a clear view of their badge. 3. If you get a summons for a traffic charge and you were not pulled over and questioned at the time of the alleged offence (leaving aside multanovas etc), give serious consideration to challenging the charge. 4. If an off duty cop does pull you over, make a good note of how fast they had to go to catch you! 5. don't be a smart arse. you are far more likely to talk yourself into getting a ticket you otherwise probably would've just a stern talking to for.

whatever they are, they arent issuing fines yet. The government has to publish a notice in the government gazette before it can use a new speed detection device against motorists. the only fixed device that is currently gazetted is the new combination redlight/speed cameras.
