Clutch Installation & Nistune Injector Change Help
Bratva replied to Bratva's topic in Australian Capital Territory
Thanks for the replies. They are currently 740cc Bosche EV14 ones im putting 1000cc. If its just for cruising to sydney with no boost you reckon i should be okay with just theoretical settings ? And you don't need a license to install software where i can edit the existing maps correct ? -
Hi, I need to get a pull type clutch installed for my R34 GTT and was wondering if anyone had recommendations and places to stay away from (PM ^^). This would include installing flywheel, clutch and rear main seal and rear engine mount. I had done a clutch on a corolla on the ground and about 4 jacks and never again do i wish to do that. If someone knows how to do that or if its any easy on the R34 then please let me know, at the moment there is only an engine (no intake side or exhaust side) so things shouldnt get in the way from that end. Also i am changing my injectors to a higher size, and if someone has nistune software and knowhow on how to change the injector size setting so i can get to sydney without blowing out black smoke everywhere would be nice. They are same injectors just 300cc bigger, same brand and everything. I dont have the consult cable yet but can get one. If someone already has laptop and software installed and cable that would be great, can provide beer. This would be all preferable on the 24th till 30th this month (or after the 16th due to exam) and the tune is on the 3rd of december in sydney so i have small window for mistakes! Thanks kindly

Hi, Is it recommended to change the pivot ball when installing a heavier clutch. I am reading different opinions everywhere. And if you were to change it where would you find the nismo pivot ball for R34 GTT ? Would it be the same one that was compatible with the R33 GTST ? The code was 30537-RS581 or the RS540 one but no where does it mention R34. Thanks

Sick thanks <3 was 10minutes away from ordering some Bosch 1000cc injectors!
-
Is that with E85 ?
-
Its already made 304rwkw on 98 fuel so the other mods are fine, im just worried the injectors are too small for e85. Is it bad if they are at like 90% duty cycle ? Its not a track car so i wont WOT all the time.
-
If i have 750cc injectors and i go for a tune with a nismo fuel pump @ 14v how much rwkw can i expect ? I am wanting hopefully around 320rwkw on E85. Or should i grab some 1000cc injectors to be safe ? And if i want to drive to the tuner, can i just plug in that nistune cable and then set the injector size on the pre-existing tune or is there more to it ? Thanks

Anyone Have A Welder I Need To Weld A Steel Nut Onto A Bolt!
Bratva replied to Bratva's topic in Australian Capital Territory
Thanks for all you guys help good to know everyone here to help My mate is back and said he will weld the nut on for me and hopefully it doesnt snap again when i undo it! Otherwise plan b is to weld a washer (smaller hole than the stud) on the remaining bit of stud, then weld a nut onto that and try again Otherwise Thread guy or Mr. Zebra and money/beer/love ? -
Forgot i had this still!! R34/R33 Intake pipe from autobahns 3" AFM side and stock turbo side, i had this on my R34 GTT with apexi pod filter and it fit (just). Has a professionally welded in BOV return pipe angled away from the AFM as the stock pipe design is straight down thus this is to prevent reversion. $80 Will fit R33 and R34 with backyard noob modification skills Postage extra located in Canberra Come at it please

Lol you are one cheeky kent mate i swear i am going to wreck you. But yes its from the exhaust manifold, i got other 3 out and thought this one was out got all excited and celebrated just soaked it in some more WD40 overnight to make it come out smooth but it snapped in half! I tried grips and grinding the sides off but they no want to come off. Man these studs is killing me i thought i had this one but it decided to snap -
Studs are out took a few good hours but they holes are in perfect condition! Thanks again

Gt3076R Leaking From Exhaust Housing !
Bratva replied to Bratva's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Yes thankyou, problem was that everytime i tightened the nut once turbo is in, tightening would cause the stud to come out. I dont think studs liked me because i tried putting on two nuts tight together then tightening, but both nuts would turn at the same time ! I then gave up and shoved a new bolt into the stud hole creating some new thread holes then chopped off the head, but it still became wobbly so i took it an engineer who said my stud hole is farked. The exhaust shop i taken it to before had used oxy torch for some reason to heat it up (massive blue) and chunks off the face missing.. Pending replacement exhaust manifold. -
PM Sent!

Gt3076R Leaking From Exhaust Housing !
Bratva replied to Bratva's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Thanks for the advice are the inverted flare fittings known to be good ? Maybe ill apply 100nm torques. Anyone ideas with the manifold stud holes ? The exhaust shop told me they would clean up the thread but it looks like it hasnt been touched, i may take it those "engineer" type guys and get them to fix the thread if its possible.
