More info Car is not insured (just third party rego) When the car had the notice stuck on the window they said i have 2 days to move it (it was unregistered at the time) and they drew all over every window with some yellow paint (even that pissed me off) I shoved the car in the garage for a week then registered it, chucked it back on the street cause i need space for my skyline. I didnt rub off the paint yet and did not have a sticker but it was registered (they coulda checked in their systems AT the time) I have the photos of the damage in the impound yard, have the receipts. I think i have some nosy neighbours that may have complained that the car had not been taken away yet as my mate on the same street told me his car got an abadoneed vehicle notification also when it was resgitered at the time. I wasnt too angry when i had to get the car back just thought ill pay the fine and be over with but before i went over to the impound from the reid city rangers office i asked what i would do if my car was damaged and they garanteed me that they take care... Tow kents could have just broken the window (50$ + 20mins of my time) but smashing the drivers door lock is a major pain in ass because i would have to source keys+all new locks most likely.

The City Ranger guy told me that because it had the ABV notice on it the week before and checked back then that it was unregistered they have the right to tow it. And it was parked as legally as possible - ie in the designated park spot, facing right way etc. The car looks pretty shitty on the outside but full engine rebuild done to it so they probably thought they can damage all they want and i wouldnt be wanting it back. fuark kents

Hi, Okay need to make rant and then ask for suggestions on what needs to be done. Story goes.... Car ran out of rego for about 2 weeks because i did not register it yet as it had no starter motor in it, some kent in my street/suburb complained to City Rangers and they stuck an abandoned vehicle notice on it and drew all over my windows. Car is parked outside legally in the parking spots provided off street. I put the car in the garage so they wont take it, but a week later after putting it back to street AND registering it, i found it missing. I go to City Rangers, pay the ridiculous 250$ fine to get it back. Meet up with the guy at the impound at the tip and i find my car backed up hard into the fence, rear window smashed in (smashed in hard so glass is inside the car and not on the street) and the drivers door lock raped. Its obvious it was the tow guys because the parking spots (ghunghalin) there would have been a car infront and behind it, so the tow company had to break in so they can get the car out... I tell the guy what the go was and he says that the tow company and city rangers take the most care in this and this is impossible that this happened then tried to blame me that i must have smashed the window before hand and with no excuse as to why it was inside a fence rear bar bent in.... care my ass I would like to know what my options are ? Would i need to find out who the contracted tow company the city rangers sent out and deal with them, or deal with the city rangers and what do i do as i would like my money on the damages and im probably too old to go farking up their shit in revenge. Thats the first place i checked and nothing there. I ordered the front and side clear indicators from ebay because were half the cost but no where to find the rear ones. Dont really wanna sand it and polish the old ones as i already farked up the front lights, seems to be 10x worse now. has some bubbles and deeper cuts in it then before dont know hwat i did wrong. i used 1000 and 2000 grit sandpaper then the polish but it ends up making the headlight solid instead of clear

Hai I currently have these ultra yellow reverse lights at the back, is there anywhere to make get them so they are either clear or those GTR ones with the red on oneside and white on the other ? I have searched everywhere but i could not find. Please assist! Thanks )

Got the rego today! Guys did the inspection rly wanted to fail me on rear window tint and the wheels, took about 30mins to decide if they want to pass my wheels cause 18" but finally decided to let it go noted a few other things like broken nbumber plate lights and steering rack etc but all good. I thought they would be harsher there from hearing all the stories. Now gotta wait like 5 weeks for black number plates. Also i think they did something to my boost lol after they did their inspection my car feels like it has half the power when hits boost

I fixed the gauge by finding that the hose from the tb to some sort of sensor/vacuum thingi had a crack in it, fixed that up and now i get negative boost working and positive goes nearly to the top so all good. Car drives well but only issues i see is notchy gearbox (goes in easy but is pretty notchy) and some diff whine at low speeds i can hear and lifter tick i think. CEnter console is heaps sticky and peeling i think the paint is dodge as i need to repaint it soon. Why is there what looks like a flare in my glove box lol. When do you guys/girls meet up i need to ask 50 more questions might be easier in person still new to skyline and rb25 BYe!

Any recommendations on the name/brand of full exhaust system with front pipe 3" that is quiet ? I am very new to skylines for now but would like to meet everyone else from SAU (so far only met two of the guys here from work). Also where to get the service for timingbelt/water pump - i would do it myself but dont wanna mess around with it seems more complex than a corolla and where to purchase the timing belt/tensioner/waterpump from that isnt china brand.

Hai, When taking car to be registered would i need to put on stock wheels mine are currently 18" would that pass inspection and also has xenon bulbs the rest is stock? Also can anyone recommend a nice fat exhaust that comes out on an angle at the back but is quiet and doesnt drone. What oil do you recommend for it and what is the code for the oil filter to use ? Should the boost gauge go all the way to the top as mine only moves about 1/8th of the way under full boost. Thanks )

The police won't do shit, i reported this but there is absolutely nothing they could do, they didn't try to tell me that anything was going to happen either. If they do something they will hold your car for a while then take a few holidays so you dont get it back for some time. They basically force us to put baseball bats through their knees as the cops themselves will just give these criminals the 'slap on the wrist' and most of the time (99%) they will do it again no questions asked, while a good citizen like myself blows 0.025 (P's) on the alcometer and i get to go to court and i get a nasty stain when doing a police check/security clearance..... personally i approve very much when these criminals get their ass handed down to them by us. /walloftext

fark i wake up this morning to find my car (crappy little car) window smashed and speakers, sub, amp etc stolen. must have been some little bogans as they even took a tiny bottle of rice wine and like 5$ of coins, they didn't attempt to steal the actual car though but they must have had took their time as everything was unscrewed not ripped out. this was in the Florey area but no one heard anything even with the house windows open (parked on street, outside house) What is canberra becoming... i hear friends cars being broken into heaps recently even in the less crimey sort of areas like curtin. Will make sure to get a good alarm when the skyline comes but i reckon by then the little shits will start torching cars instead. If anyone knows of any known dodgy bogans/bogan activity in the Florey area let me know

Regarding the HIDS there was this black r33 with L plates that had these ridiculously blue lights (12k ?) that just scattered everywhere! I get in front and bam massive blindness from the back and in my mirrors. Is this due to not having projectors ?
