cul202 replied to mrtwinturbo's topic in For Sale (Other Items)
the software lets me get info off the phone but not transfer back on. it comes up with 'full version required' when trying to add items into the phone -

Depending on what we can talk to the real estate into it may drop to $150 for the biggest room. other things i neglected to mention: - lock up garage only suited for a motor bike or storage - marble firplaces - has had cable net hooked up before - gas cooktop & h/w system - downlights - area is mostly owner living ie less rental houses

Not sure if this will get moved but my roommate just bought a house so we will have a room to rent in our house in 6 weeks. Us: 2 uni grads working full time, 24 & 25 yo, both skyline owners (just thought i'd chuck that in), into the usual sort of 20 something interests such as headin' out on the town, beer, women, tv, cars, music, etc. Helpful to bring: - large tv (we have a DVD but only a shytty tv) - fridge (the guy who is leaving owned it) - dryer (everyone loves dryers) The house: - 3br, federation style, freestanding, single story in double brick. - polished floorboards - large galley style kitchen with full length skylighting - double frontage with paved yards with wide roads & street parking front & back - much storage space - 1min walk from Stanmore station (4 stops from the city) - room available is the main bedroom at the front of the house Rent around $155/week (rent is being reviewed at the moment we haven't worked out a final price). Cheers Ben - 0408 026 845

Chriiiiist!!! NATS R32/V35 Frankenstein...
cul202 replied to Rezz's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
having being into, studying & working around design for a few years now i'd say that they have sinned against nature.... out of proportion, mismatching shapes, different decades, etc the fat guards are sorta phat though -
yeah i think i'm going to get one myself. the clutch fan packed it in so i took it off which means that all i've got left is the little thermo on the front which seems to be doing well so far. gotta drive with one eye on the temp until i fit a thermo tho if you can fit a thermo to make good use of the factory shroud it should work efficiently with one fan.

r r33 srs1 & srs2 turbos same
cul202 replied to skylite's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
king was almost there. from what i have have seen... s1 - ceramic exhaust wheel, steel intake wheel with single fin design s2 (what i have in my R32) - ceramic exhaust wheel, nylon intake wheel with twin fin design the later turbo seems to be designed to pick up boost earlier. may not be as strong but i'm not sure -
benm whats your 33 look like so i'll recognise it heading down the 1/4? my little 32 would need tyres, boost & a tune before i'll be moving out of the spectator area unfortunately

once again it's been a while since i've been - when i used to go to at EC it was on only once or twice a month. whats it like out there now its every week? many people from this forum still head out?

Anyone heading to/entering in the street drags this wednesday night (apparently moved from last wednesday)? wouldn't mind checking it out with other skyline peoples

What Have You Found In Your Skyline
cul202 replied to crack's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
i found that someone must have spilt chocky milk in the boot. i threw the boot carpet in the washing machine but the board over the spare still smells a little... lots of marks in the consol plastic stemming from ill aimed attemps at cigarette extinguishing. some 800 wet & dry plus cutting wax got them out. no drugs unfortunately -
shyte! thats how long i've been out of the loop... i didn't even realise it was at The Creek. even better - 15km extra i dont have to travel. i have some vague recollection from a while ago of plans to build a strip at penrith.. the incessant intoxication must be finally affecting my memory spose i'll should check out the site cheers
-
anyone got a better answer? its been a while (12 months) since i've looked into the drag scene so i'm behind on whether or not the penrith strip was finished or if the only 1/4 mile was still at EC. i'm assuming from the smart arsed-ness of the answer that the penrith track is up & running
-
is this at the penrith lakes venue? haven't been out there yet. what catagories are racing tomorrow?

E-cutout stock front/dump vs. 3" dump/front E-cutout
cul202 replied to mupkant's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
we "bypassed" the exhaust (unbolted the cat) on my mates R30 L20et for a trip to ec. yeah, sounded fairly interesting, like how i would imagine a poorly tuned 253 V8 with a T-88 hanging off it would sound. the turbo whistle was insane those valves used to be sold thru street machine in the late 80's. a guy who used to have on his mini used to have it open on thusday night 'MacNats' and would shut it only when a cop appeared. never saw him get busted -
Do you rely on your line to pull girls for you? Be honest
cul202 replied to pentae's topic in General Automotive Discussion
yeah in all honesty, most girls i know think that those who cruise around all night in modded cars are tools. yet.. all girls i've actually dated (another words not that many) love accelerating quickly in cars bloody 2 faced so & so's... heh heh -

cul202 replied to pentae's topic in General Automotive Discussion
lots of people, male & female, seem to respond to the word 'turbo' more so than skylines in my experience. my g/f, although she enjoys the acceleration factor, often complains to people when we arrive about things related to the turbs ('waiting for the turbo to cool' or 'the turbo makes firewall too warm') and more often than not the other person will ask what i drive. i think old cars get more on street attn from the lass' than 'lines -
if you use & enjoy the convienience of 4 doors, why go elsewhere? plus there is not as many around!!

toshi used to (not sure if he still does) do chips but he lives on the north shore in sydney. people had good things to say about his chips especially with a lrger pump like yours alternatively get it SAFC tuned

i thought a few people might appreciate the soon to be released offering from those crazy geezers at TVR. The T440R - all carbon body - 440hp N/A 4.2L straight 6 - 0-100km/h in less than 4 sec - top speed around 345km/h mmm fun....
-
there is a very std looking black 32 coupe i see near the church st park in newtown. not sure if he is on the forums tho. i'll never get spotted as my car blends into traffic quite well. its a nice change after my old car
-
r324d, what area of sydney are you in - i've got a 4 door as well and never see any getting around my area i see plenty of 33's on canterbury rd - black 2 door with DAMSXY plates, a white stock looking 2 door that always seems to drive faster when i get close in traffic & a black 2 door with chromies that was bought from an import place in canterbury
-
it would make for a good street motor - strong top end of a turbo motor with low end punch of a NA motor with high compression. oh and VVT as well wanna swap with my rb20det when your done tuning... heheh
