  1. johnnyt chuck up some more flicks, looks good
  2. that looks wicked.. i was considering getting some 33gtr rims and flat blacking them but my mate talked me out of it.. now i'm cut, cos that looks perfect to me do you have spacers on them?
  3. unless they get some apprentice to work on your gtr i took my car to a toyota specialist of all places to use the correct grade of oil to put in a skyline gearbox yep they are definitely the experts
  4. didnt get the reaction you wanted the first time you said it i guess?
  5. what rims are on this?
  6. i havent read the thread aside from the first post, so excuse me if someone's said it.. but just rip all your shit out of the car unless the stereo gear is specifically listed on your policy you have no obligation to produce a car with a stereo to them, and even if it was listed i'd still remove it haha
  7. No offense taken Say what you like but considering there are auto r33 and nonners 300 drivers on here whinging about traction makes me wonder..
  8. f**k mate by the sounds of it i'd be more worried about the skyline drivers even my p-plater girlfriend can drive my V8 in the wet no worries..
  9. last one i did was mad fun can't commit 100% cos it's a bit far out, but i'd be real keen
  10. too low rule is still dumb.. if the car scrapes shit it's not harming anyone only a safety issue if you've got cut springs
  11. havent been in a rb20 car, but i was pretty impressed with the rb25 32gtst i went for a quick lap in and it was making <300rwhp
  12. does locking it up make it feel a bit more tail happy? tenfour -- did imports101 pull the lines out, or just did the basic install of the bar itself?
  13. thats fkn intense
  14. yea on a 30+ degree day mine gets to 85-90 and sits on that.. but in winter it's way lower.. i was worried at first too
  15. ok thanks heaps for that.. i'll worry a bit less for now, but i'll keep everyone's input in mind. probably chase up a pair of z32 afm's anyway in the very near future anyway
  16. cheers for the replies.. i'm not "boosting" the car cold.. what i mean is that due to the reduction in power when cold i need an increased amount of throttle and revs to get the car upto speed (eg. 30% throttle in 1-2-3rd to get to traffic speed, bringing vacuum/boost to 0).. whereas once it's warm i can drive with traffic @ 20% throttle and keep it well into vacuum ok i might see if i can borrow a pair of afm's or something see what i can sus out.. i'm waiting on a OBD port cable so i can check what parameters change when the water temp gets up but i figured i'd better ask in case it was something common/super obvious LotusGTR -- thanks mate, appreciated bubba -- when your car runs on the cold start map; is there a noticeable difference in power output until it puts the normal map in @ operating temp??
  17. hey guys, something that i've been noticing recently is that driving my 32 GTR around before the water temp is at operating temp, the car runs like it has a heap of timing pulled out of it.. i only drive the thing once a week if that, so it's hard to remember if it always did it, or if it used to do it a little bit but it's more prevalent now or what the story is.. i'm not talking about lack of power at full revs or even on boost, but to even get the car moving upto traffic speed (ie.60-70kph) it seems to need an added 40% throttle and almost needing to get it onto boost ..then after 5minutes (once the needle on the water temp guage gets to 1/3 -- just below where operating temp would be) it's like the computer chucks in 8deg of timing and it picks up 40-50% more power magically i've also notice that at pre-operating temp the car @ idle / clutch in, the vacuum/boost guage doesn't drop as much, then once upto proper temp the thing will go deeper into vac at idle just wanna know what the story is, if it's normal or not cheers edit: the car has stocky computer.. just has a pipe, intake pods, more boost. also had to resolder the afm's a little while ago cos of the "surging" issue that i've read a few people have gotten
  18. might as well chuck it up for 20.. everyone else does, and most of the ones i looked at were what i would consider bunky.. scratched and dinged up and one for 17 that had rust in the rear guards.. wtf
  19. i had heaps of fun despite the fact i can't drive and couldn't remember the course until i had done it 4 times haha was good to see everyone giving their cars a hiding the white evo hammered
  20. thats pretty subjective.. suppose this is a skyline forum though
  21. any chance of getting in on this even if i'm not a member? pretty keen on it
  22. i was checking out a GTR a while back and the conversation was something like me - "yea so tell me a bit about it" seller - '...well... its got 18" chrome rims' i knew then and there i wasn't buying that one haha
  23. anyone got pics of a 32 gtr with the plates mounted off-side? i just drive around with no plate on the front, or just sitting on my dash with double sided tape.. so far no issues, dunno how much longer that'll last though
  24. i'm in a similar position.. when i first got the car i never noticed the gauge move much (unless giving it throttle in the wet).. then after a while my clutch started slipping fairly bad and i noticed the slip was coinciding with the front wheel torque gauge.. so i figured it was the transfer case slipping not the clutch i yanked the fuse out from under the hood and drove in RWD for a while (no slip for ages, then slips here and there, etc) brought it to a jap workshop and they did the clutch and said the attessa was fine, brought it back to them after a week with the complaint that it was sending power to the front under medium accel... was told this was normal, they checked for errors got nothing
  25. just cars told me about a month ago they dont do limited use policies
