1998 R34 Gtt Rb25/30 Manual
RB25PWR replied to drgnball34's topic in For Sale (Private Whole cars only)
Thought you were selling to buy a house? -
I'd say Victoria is stricter, in recent years they've had a lot more focus on hoons than NSW has. But in saying that, don't think you're not going to get hassled here either.

Bc Racing Coilovers?
RB25PWR replied to RB25PWR's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Nice. I think I'll grab them then. -
All I can think is. Why would you bother? Some people honestly just have too much money.
-
I disagree. I don't think people are going THAT far out. 3-4 years ago people flocked to Kellyville, now people are just going a little bit further to Rouse Hill. Glenwood is also a popular suburb that is continuing to expand. That's just my own personal opinion and observations anyway. Of course if you still couldn't afford a place in one of those suburbs, you might be forced to go somewhere like Penrith. However without exaggerating one bit, I'd rather kill myself.

It's full of mostly lower/working class white people. You'll see mostly holden/fords to be honest.

Does It Feel Like Your R33 Is Outdated?
RB25PWR replied to crazyr33's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Yeah they have different sun conditions, what's that mean? I mean, why would that stop them from tinting their door windows? -
Does It Feel Like Your R33 Is Outdated?

My car was imported like this, the rear and rear-side windows are tinted to the darkest possible tint. However the driver and passenger windows have no tint on them at all. Is there some sort of reason this is "JDM as f**k yo!"? -
I have searched other threads, however they are mostly around a year old when people first started hearing about BC. I just wanted to get an updated opinion or whether people have had direct experience with these coil overs? I'm thinking about buying these for my 33. I don't do track days, I don't drift, I daily drive and give it a squirt every know and again. I'd basically just prefer the car handle a bit better on the road and with less body roll. http://www.justjap.com/store/product.php?p...at=0&page=1 These are the ones I'm referring to.

Damaged Skyline R33 Gtst Series 2 1996

pics of floor mats pls -
Easiest fix is to buy a second hand air-box, shouldn't be too hard to find and probably won't cost too much either. I'm running a POD right now and still have my std airbox, but I'm not selling.
-
Yeah but I bet you don't live in a crappy suburb where police are constantly putting up with people driving dangerously in imports. Because I have had the same experience so far, never get pulled over etc. It's the people who live in like Sydneys South West who get hassled the most lol

There's a BP on Seven Hills rd, not far at all from where that shell is. http://maps.google.com.au/maps?q=-33.76111...,227.56,,0,7.11 I'd suggest filling up there instead!

Not really. When you step back and look at the rest of the world. We have it the best.

I always see a Yellow R34 GTT with white rims at Showground Maccas. You know that stuff will kill you right?
-
You drive a Skyline, your reputation was always sh*t. You can't ruin something that's already ruined. You're only making it worse for yourself with a screamer and orange paint. At the end of the day you know what happened and that's what matters. Who cares about some old dude in his boat. haha

Skylines have a different image, it's associated with driving like an idiot. (Like it or not it's a wanker associated car) Honda integras don't have this image, I know which image I'd rather have. A close friend of mine used to own a '99 DCR2, he let me drive it once. This was back when we were like 17, it felt pretty fast... however I didn't really have anything to compare it too. I'd say it's the best P plater car, handles really well, makes an awesome sound and is good on fuel. I personally wouldn't buy one, the insurance costs more than my 33 would, the lack of torque and fwd just don't do it for me. And overall the car costs more to just buy...

20% tint is NOT legal. At least on the driver and passenger windows it's not. Cops rarely give you trouble for tint though... I bought my car with everything tinted but the driver+passenger windows, and I gotta tell you. I f**king hate it. I can't see a f**king thing AT ALL while reversing. Thank f**k the dumbass didn't tint the other windows lol. Sorry went a little bit off topic there. Boost gauge on A pillar will most likely have to go because even if it wont hurt you in an accident, they'll probably get you for obstruction of vision. Yes even if it's right down the bottom. They'll spot the coilovers in a split second Definitely remove the boost controller... Just change most things back to stock and you should be OK...

It comes down to this. Take your car to where people have complained about service, even taking them to court. Take your car to where you've heard nothing but compliments, not a single bad thing... and reasonable price etc. I know where I'd take mine. Not even pointing fingers at any workshop in particular, I try and follow this rule with product I buy tbh...

I can only comment on NSW laws, which are 1 year for Red P plates. 2 years for Green P plates. The difference between the two is that on your red P plates I believe you only get like 3 or 4 demerit points and then on your greens you get like 6. Also red p plates can only travel at 90km, green 100km. Also current P plates don't have to worry about these restrictions come in because it will be implemented like all the other states. Eg. "If you get your P plate license after June 2010 you will not be allowed to drive any car with X power to weigh ratio". So no, current P plates won't be pissed. I got NFI how P platers afford insurance for their cars anyway... I'm 22 and I still think it's too expensive!

Yeah I just starting using the 8100, it seems to like it. However I'll go 300v next time I think... 5w40 might be a little to thin I dunno...

I know some people on here take their cars to Unigroup, which is in Girraween. http://www.unigroup.com.au/Home.html -- The owners name is Yavuz. I've heard nothing but good things so far about this workshop. Next year when I get some work done I'll most likely go there.

Whenever I come to a set of lights I down shift then put it into neutral while braking, then my RPM drops to 500 sometimes 450 then back up to 650. On the odd occasion the car stalls, what might be causing this? Not sure if it matters but it never does this while really cold, (like when it's still idling at 1100rpm). Also my engine temp gauge never ever sits at half way, do I just need to get a new thermostat? It usually sits in between half way and cold. One more problem. Occasionally when at idle I can hear a ticking sort of sound (can only hear it at idle)... I just did an oil change + oil filter change with Motul 8100 5w 40... but I'm pretty sure it was ticking occasionally before then too. Thanks for reading.

LOL you even have an entire room to put all your parts in. You're like a woman but instead of shoes its car parts. It's gonna be hella once it's all done mate.
