I'm far from even an internet mechanic... but if your car is turning off like that I'd be guessing it's an AFM issue? Probably also the ECU... Maybe someone else can shed some light on this as I'm a retard when it comes to mechanics but whenever I read about a car just turning off like that people seem to suggest that something is wrong with the AFM...

My speedo doesn't work occasionally... usually after a little while it just flicks up to the speed I'm going. One time it didn't move for like 5 minutes so being annoyed at it I tapped the plastic in front of the speedo and it flicked right up straight away. So now each time I just give it a little flick. =p Your problem is probably a little different because you said everything else doesn't seem to work. I thought the only rule was, that if your steering wheel had an airbag standard, then if you changed it to an aftermarket steering wheel that would have to have an airbag as well. It would make sense for the steering wheel to be padded too, but I'm not sure on that law. Think of it this way, do you want to be driving around the streets with a wooden or metal steering kinda wheel? I wouldn't. I know how you feel though, the s1 steering wheel is ugly... I'm assuming thats why you want to change it?

S1's don't have airbags do they? Not in the steering wheel atleast? If they don't, you can fit whatever steering wheel you want. If it does... maybe go with the momo + airbag?

Yeah I did, the plates are registered to the other house, you don't park it there. Who cares? Noone can easily come across that information anyway just via plates. The point still stands, someone might see you pulling into said house, yeah a long shot, but stranger things have happened. And it's not that much effort to go steal it now that you've told everyone your security measures. The long and short of it is, you most likely don't have anything to worry about.
