  1. That place looks awesome! Hella vid..
  2. And this is exactly why I'm very thankful to not be living in the South West. Sucks to hear man...
  3. Three reasons to steal a car. # Joy ride # Sell for parts # Re-birth Only 1 of those usually results in getting the car back. Guess which one. The answer is no, you can't do sh*t and odds are if it was a 'professional job' then he won't be seeing his car ever again.
  4. Welcome!
  5. If someone's smart enough and they want to sell their car but it has a worn steering wheel, worn pedals, worn seats front and rear... all they have to do is spend a little bit of dosh and replace all of the above and viola you suddenly have an immaculate looking car inside. You can just buy a new odometer with 80k's on it, people are selling them on here all the time.
  6. I'm confused, why has it taken 3 months to drop an engine in?
  7. I read quite a bit of that Supra case. Very interesting. The officer's stuffed up right from the get go, "Is this your car?" "No" Then the Cop pulls the car over. The Cop could have just said nothing at all, pulled behind the car and given him an RBT. What a f**king idiot, I do apologise... I guess I had more faith in the human race. Then they saw him putting something in a glove box as they were exiting their Police car. That's not reasonable suspicion... I'm pretty up to date with all this stuff to because my best mate just became a Cop so all the laws and do's and dont's are fresh in his mind and he tells me about it all the time. Basically what happened, they saw a young guy in a Supra... they didn't think he could afford it so they pulled him over. They could still have thought this, but used a different approach, like the RBT! That's what every Cop uses right off the bat. Then if things arise from there on in you're in the clear... because you had pulled the car over for a random breathe test THEN you could smell cannabis or see needles or cash or whatever. But yeah him just putting something in the glove box just isn't enough, it is suspicious... but as you can see, if it goes to court, it appears it won't always hold up.
  8. As people have said above, save your coin and get a decent turbo. Going cheap on a turbo is just not worth it.
  9. Saw a black 33 with the GTS-T rear wing with a GTR badge on lane cove rd at like 4:40pm ...
  10. Welcome. Add a POD filter to that list... make sure you get it tuned after too. What power are you looking at making? Because depending on that, you might not need to upgrade the turbo. If you upgrade the turbo, you'll probably need injectors too. But like I said, what kind of power do you intend on making? Enjoy the car mate. edit: If you search around heaps, you'll find a tonne of info on how to go about modding your car.
  11. Wrong. Awww your cute, getting all legal and you even quoted real material! NSW police officers are allowed to pull any car over, at any time, for a random breathe test. It's RANDOM you twit. They're allowed to pull over an old grandma, sticking within her lane driving the speed limit at 10am. I find it hard to believe a Cop actually said he pulled over a guy in a Supra for "looking smart". That story either doesn't exist, or he was really dumb. Why would you say that, when he could just as easily say "I pulled over the subject for an RBT, at that point in time I could see marijuana in the back seat of his car, I then asked the subject to step out of the vehicle and told him that his vehicle was going to be searched for drugs." Telling a Cop you're recording him so that he does his job properly will only piss him or her off and you'll find yourself with defects. Seriously this isn't that hard to comprehend people. Cops are human beings, Cops find it hard to fine nice and respectful people. A friend of mine is a Cop... you know what he told me the other day. "Dude I find it really hard to fine people, but when it comes to f**kwits, I smile from ear to ear and have no problem giving them fines or defects" -- He's a hardass too, he thought he would fine everyone and not care, but that's just not the case. If you pull over some dude that's a tradie who just did a u-turn at an intersection because he's lost and trying to get to the job. Then when you come up to his window and he says he's really really sorry but he's in a hurry and he knows that he did wrong and that he wouldn't do it again... would you seriously give him a fine? You'd have to be a dick to do that. But if you rock up to his window and he's like "what the f**k do you want im late for work omfg" being a rude flamin mongrel, would you fine him? I would! 90% of it is attitude!
  12. Just did this today. My boost gauge now sits right in between the 0 & the +7 well before 4500RPM.
  13. Answer this first and we'll be able to help you a little more. Without knowing anything, I'd buy a 33 and put 10k of mods into it
  14. Very keen to see how this turns out!
  15. Might wanna take the 'LED GROUP BUY NOW ON!' outta your sig if your sold out.
  16. Ian Rose you're such a dumbass. Oh and by the way... f**k off.
  17. Don't panic, just drain all the fuel. Get a can of 98 and put it in after, then drive it to a petrol station then fill up. Not really sure if you need to do anything else... but that's what I'd do.
  18. You're trying to hard.
  19. This happens everywhere in life, in a perfect world, this might be the case. When someone says the world Muslim the first thing that comes into your mind probably isn't peace and love. Others have ruined it for the majority, nothing new.
  20. Stock for stock the RB25 is faster. The RB25 will take more abuse than it's younger brother with alloy heads. The power delivery in an RB25 is extremely smooth, really is a pleasure to drive. I haven't been in an SR20 in ages but iirc it wasn't as smooth. I'd say both engines are good and if you're just going to do minor mods, just buy the one you like the look of, sounds better and handles to your liking. If you take a test drive in both cars you'll know 100% which one you want by the time you tested both.
  21. The cop saw your friends big f**k off wheels... do they happen to be chrome too?
  22. I'd go the 33. But why not just drive all 3 and make the decision for yourself. Keep in mind that the s15 will have a much higher insurance premium than the R33. For me it would cost me like 500-600 more than my R33 to insure an S15. I don't really know why people give a f**k if there's a lot of people own the same car as yourself. Is your ego that big that you must have something that others do not? Cops will pull over an import =\
  23. oops I read it wrong. either way your mum is still awesome.
  24. If you're not doing anything wrong and you get pulled over, most of the time if you just pass the attitude test they'll let you go. Maybe not with bald tyres because well that's just dangerous ... but if your car is too low or loud etc they'll most likely let you go. Don't be a f**kwit to someone who has the power to arse rape you, it's not rocket science.
  25. what size are those rims dude? imo it looks fine... like above, they look a littttle bit small and if it was lower just a tad it would look really nice. @Basti: I want to do the opposite to you haha, I wanna possibly get rid of my GTR wing and put the std one on... but like you, my opinion changes all the time haha
