Neighbour came knocking on the door tonight, says the lights on the car are doing weird things. I go out, and they are, rear lights and at the front, flashing between high beam and the fogs .... not bright, just dim like there's not much power. And there's not either, not enough power to open the doors by remote, or turn over the engine. So I've disconnected the battery, but now what? I've looked at this post http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/343588-possessed-lights/page__p__5540346__hl__battery__fromsearch__1#entry5540346 but today has been one of the driest, sunniest days here in Melb for a long time, and there's not even a hint of moisture in the battery compartment. I didn't have the car today, my wife was using it, but it doesn't sound like she was doing anything unusual with it, certainly been no warning lights on recently. I'm presuming it will go again with a jump start, once the RACV get here, but any ideas as to the cause? It's an '04 300GT sedan. Cheers, Richard

Can I use it to replace a non-Bose head unit? Chris is probably the person to ask .... Mine's been doing that tick tick tick thing with CD's, but strangely enough will often play a CD through start to finish without any probs ...

Bayswater is way too far for me - even Dandenong is pushing it. I regularly pass a place in White St Mordialloc called"8T8" or something like that, that always has a few R33's etc sitting outside, occasionally a stagea, but never seen a V35 there.

spotted a silver coupe with Infiniti badges and plate starting with PA this afternoon 1.30pm on Highett Rd - I was the grotty sedan heading the other direction ...

I saw a USDM centre console with navi, buttons etc for sale on ebay going back a few weeks, and wondered if it would be a drop in affair (mine doesn't currently have the navi/TV) - would that be doable, or would I need extra parts to get the trip computer etc to work?

I emailed Riverside Infiniti and the guy there reckoned there was a slight difference in the sheet metal between the 03-04 G35 and the 05-06, reckoned the later ones wouldn't fit. Have to say though that the later ones look a lot nicer in shape, aside from the paint issue.

Hmm, can get them shipped direct from eBay for under $70AU ...

I have noticed that there is a difference in shape between the Infiniti 03-04 splash guards and the 05-06 splash guards, besides the 03-04 being two tone and the 05-06 being completely body colour. I want the completely body colour guards, so just wondering if anyone knows if there's any actual difference in the rear quarter panels of the 03-04 Infiniti and the 05-06?

Did you sell the expander? I need one but can get the exact same as yours off eBay for $30 including postage. I'm in east Melb but will be heading west tomorrow for work. Richard

Hi guys, Hoping someone might be able to run a FAST check or whatever it's called on the VIN of the V35 I'm buying and tell me what the factory specs are - I'm particularly wanting to know if the front bumper is factory fitted or aftermarket. VIN is HV35251182. Cheers, Richard

I had my Japanese workmate look at it and the translations are roughly as follows: First picture (with button pic): "Enter" on top of button. Then, "If you press Enter, it will go into sound only and battery saver" Second picture: "If you want to reset this mode, press the screen quality button" The screen quality button is the one at the bottom left. After some discussion, we decided maybe you press that button to change whether the screen shows anything or not, thereby saving your battery if the car is not running. Hope that's of some use! I don't really care how hard it is to clean - if I have to hand buff it, then that's what I'll do! I've spotted some Infiniti G35 splash guards as they call them available from the US - would they be the same as for the V35?

Hi folks, I'm fairly new to the forums, been browsing for a while, and in the process of purchasing an '04 300GT. Just tonight, I noticed that some of the V35 sedans around have some type of mudguard thingys attached behind front and rear wheels, but the one I'm buying doesn't. I'm thinking that they might come in handy as I'll be doing some driving on dirt roads from time to time (the folks place) and would provide some extra protection from stones/grit throwing up on the skirts. Anyone know if they're available anywhere? Is there any easy way to tell if a particular vehicle has the side airbags installed and not just the drivers and passengers front airbags?

I've only just discovered the Stagea in the last couple of days and I've been devouring all the info I can find as it's fired my interest.

I saw someone else in this thread asking for vehicle details using the VIN for a stag, so I'm hoping I can do the same - it's NM35315451 - checkitout.com.au doesn't give me anything. It's a car I'm thinking about purchasing, and just trying to find out a little more about it before going to look. Cheers.
