Hey man I couldn't get tomei throttle coat from anywhere ....apparently tomei don't supply an MSDS (Meterial Safety Data Sheet) when they ship the product outside of japan so a lot of countries won't let it through customs. There are some substitutes available tho.... I used Loctite Moly Dry Film in an aerosole can, sprayed into the lid to make a small puddle and used a 50c paint brush to coat the butterfly's while closed. On tomei's website it said to only coat the butterfly's and around the shafts/bores where they go through the housings but because the Loctite stuff is aerosole its super thin compared to the tomei paste so like I said, I painted mine while shut to get a good layer on the butterfly and bore so it's got a definite seal when closed. I fully cleaned the throttles with a rag and some carby cleaner befor the coating of course and shone a torch up the plenum and could see light around each throttle. Now coated, you can't see any light from anywhere inside the throttles.

It is very streetable hey haha still plenty of wheel spin in mid-top end but if driven appropriately it's quite nice and usable....

I wasn't awere of the leaks until I had the e85 tune done and saw that my gtrs seems slower to come on boost then others I had seen so I started investigating which led me to a boost leak test and so I found a ton of leaks and am obviously getting them fixed this week as well as an eboost2, jim berry single and de cat... Hopefully I'll get in for a re tune at the end of the week or early next week... The car has not been driven since I found the leaks hey

Hasn't been back on the dyno since I did the test last week... Those printouts in post 1 are only 3-4 weeks ago anyways man...

All good man lol um yeah Matty tested the vct when it was last on the dyno to rule out that being a factor... but yeah it works apparently. it feels faster and comes on harder now on e85 then how it felt before on bp98 eveon tho my dyno said differnatly... but looking at Joeyjoejoe's E85 Tuning Adventutres first dyno result, my boost curve looks quite similar and since he too had major boost leak im hoping my retune looks as good as his re tune/results

I read Joeyjoejoe's E85 Tuning Adventutres and i noticed my dyno printout has very similar characteristics (apart from the spike) to his first dyno as in the way boost comes on slowly peaks and drops off straight away.... obviously he had boost leaks and then fixed them and had a re tune and got epic little gains.... man i hope i get similar gains http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/258776-joeyjoejoes-e85-tuning-adventutres/

This is true haha i have had my car over the pits twice and you get time to sort your defects and shit for re inspection etc

Standard re built S1 rb25, pon cams, ex cam gear +8, walbro 460 highflow standard side feeds 740cc, power Fc, hks gtrs kit, blitz fmic, gtr itbs etc etc United E85 Royal Purple 10w40 Street driven soon to be tracked 303wkw @ 20psi Massive boost leaks and 4psi back pressure at 20psi at O2 sensor port and clutch issues... All to be sorted next weeks and a retune with new eboost2 controller

You will achieve your 300wkw figure with a 2835kai + E85 easily ... Obviously with appropriate supporting mods...

I'm feeling your pain dude....I have massive loud top end ticking noise for the first 30 seconds of cold start up... My motor had no lifter noise prior to Nizzpro re building it after I blew the head gasket. (It drove and held Boost perfectly with milkshake oil)

As said in earlier post, massive boost leaks all over the inlet plenum where found after my boost leak test dude The plenum set up has definitely been like this the whole time its been on the car, since dare i say "Nizzpro" put it on my car....while i was running bp98 and no change to the set up now with e85... it goes in next week to be re welded and all injectors are getting overhauled and new hks gaskets throuhgout

This should help delete top end restriction ......

d.i.y boost leak tester lol

Yeah man i reckon i should see good gains haha /: 2 of the three throttle gaskets are leaking big time, the first and last injector seals are leaking, a few vacuum lines are leaking badly and there are 4 or more pin holes in the throttle adapter plate welds............ i could watch the pressure gauge on the compressor go down quite steadily after it finished filling itself and the tap was turned on to charge the intake system...

So I aquired a compressor and made a boost leak tester and holy crap I have a million boost leaks around the plenum and injectors so there would lie the boost problem .....

Just bought a new eboost2 controller so that with the non cat, boost leak fix, throttles tuned and e re tune should see some better results and hopefully a bigger peak power figure (:

Yeah tried this it does the job too but when you fit a set of gtr throttles to an rb25 there are a lot o extra vacuum lines under the plenum you can't get to so the smoke test is all round easier (:

hahahaha vag.....nice yeah your probably right about the smoke but its free and works a treat and i currently don't have a working compressor lol
