That's a truely awesome engine bay dude!! Very R31House style indeed [emoji7]My engine bay will be quite similar to yours actually Ad's [emoji1377][emoji1377] I'm just about to Aquire a gts-r manifold and I already have gtr itb's on my rb25 and finned rb20 red top cam covers ... Is that dyno before or after the itb set up??

Awesome build man!! Interesting that it doesn't sound too much different to any other rb25 at the lower rpm's it's been driven at in your video... Sounds more like the gtsr late in the vid tho for sure... We need a clip of it at 7500-8500rpm [emoji12][emoji6][emoji1377][emoji97]

Car Misfiring after a big rainfall.
LaurelPWR replied to ruinned's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I have the same problem on my rb25 s13 when I drive it in rain... It's moisture getting in through the cooler pipe hole in the guard and the front of the car and being sucked up by the pod ... I even had a small puddle in my cooler once and another time, just recently, I could see moisture droplets in my clear breather lines going from my cam covers to my air oil separator and back into my intake.......E85 doesn't help this situation either hahah -
RB Stroker Kit Reliability & Quality
LaurelPWR replied to 2_Liter_Turbo's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
I've also wondered about the quality of crank shafts in the popular stroker kits as you can go on alibaba and buy one from China for thousands less then through a vendor like nitto or spool etc. and if theirs also come from China well I've seen plenty of high hp cars successfully running them [emoji848][emoji848] -

How many teeth trigger kit and is it just the crank or crank/cam trigger kit? -
Rad.. You could do a whole lineup of these for Stageas and s chassis etc. I say do it! 3D printing would be the way to go though [emoji848]

Rb26- Enlarging Std Throttle Bodies
LaurelPWR replied to XRATED's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Saw this on facebook when I was researching the enlarged throttle idea... Naprec claiming 40ps gains from their 49mm throttles and 49mm plenum ..is a big claim.. -

So the site seems to have crashed and now restored but many recent posts have been lost.....? Anyways my last post was something like "I might just start an antilag thread to get more detailed info from other who have had hands on experience with it, unless there is already a decent thread out in SAU"

No mate hahhaa.....I'm definitely not wrong. Do a Google search and you'll find a myriad of info on what I'm talking about... Below are a couple of pictures of examples of antilag systems... Here's a link to an aftermarket kit I'll be using - https://brewedmotors.com/blog/rally-style-anti-lag-system-tuning.html

Not Holding Boost! Hks 2835 Pro S .87 A/r
LaurelPWR replied to LaurelPWR's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
So I put around 22-23psi through the actuator and it opens and closes no worries and the linkage has roughly 10-15mm of travel out & in.... Everything in this situation has checked out normal and ok.... The only thing left to do is drop the exhaust completely and test boost again and then remove the turbo and have it inspected -

Not Holding Boost! Hks 2835 Pro S .87 A/r

I did do all that at the start when all this first started but I can't remember for sure how it all went... Worth another try tho for sure -
Not Holding Boost! Hks 2835 Pro S .87 A/r
LaurelPWR replied to LaurelPWR's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I'm not sure what else there is to say dude... The turbo was a new HKS 2835 Pro S internally gated with an .87 a/r rear. It's not a model specific kit for an rb or Jz or anything... Just a "universal" or "off he shelf" HKS turbo. So I had to rotate the housings before fitting it. After rotating the housings the actuator didn't line up with the bracket so I re-drilled the holes and re mounted it where it needed to be to line up twitch the flapper linkage. These are the only pics I can find of the turbo off the car. The first two (black background) are before any modification or rotating. The. There's a pic of the actuator after I re drilled it and then last two of ofer it was re mounted and housing rotated. -

LaurelPWR replied to LaurelPWR's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
One thing I don't think I've mentioned is that I had to rotate the housings and customise the actuator bracket before fitting the turbo... Maybe one the housings isn't seating exactly perfectly...?? Or maybe the actuator isn't happy with its position in relation to the gate flapper..?
