Yes and no, two different mechanics built the car and put it all together. Then a separate tuner. I had also taken it too another two mechanics locally to get a few small things fixed up, i.e. catch and BOV issues and they never picked up on anything I had also filled up about 5 times prior to this time so I was not expecting it

Yer il try find it, i put it up on a thread a while back

Man i wish i knew that, at first i thought the whole servo was going to blow up. But 2 seconds after I didn’t care. I was more worried with saving my car then anything, i understand the servo attendant did not want to help but heck i just wanted my car. He could have at least given me the key to the fire exinguher box, i asked him like 6 times and was yelling at him towards the end. Even the firemen said what the hell why was there no key in the box as that’s not compliant by fire safety standards. Also it was blocked by the servo bin that they have were the water bucket ect is. They now have a key in the box, the break glass section is removed so even quicker access and no obstructions, yet they still claim no fault at all. It took him like 2 min to hit the fuel cut emergency button when i ran in and told him there was a fire, he didn’t believe me. The funny thing about the fuel vapours is. The servo was only renovated 2 weeks prior, it was the first service station in Aus to have this new technology installed that has a vacuum in the nozzles to suck out any fuel vapour. I remember that for next time and I will have my own extinugher in the car.

After saving up and collecting parts, 2.5 years later and finally complete i had an RB26 conversion into my R33 GTS4, with all the fruit and just how i wanted it and a fresh forged built motor Had it for 2 weeks and it caught fire as i was filling up fuel at a petrol station. Said to be "static electiricy" as the fire investiagation unit put it No insurnace and the worst part was the sercive station had the fire exitgusers locked up and the keys removed, So i had to sit and watch as she burned up, took 12 min for the firemen to get there. The fire was small to beign with, only the bowser and my fuel neck area so i could have saved it with the propper equitpment, Tried to get a hose form the building site across the road but it was short by about 20m I blame most of it on the monekys that i had build the car. This happned on the 15th of June 2013. Ive been getting it all re built but this current mechanic - With a good rep mind you has had the car since 10th of Januray 2014. Still a month or two away from completion i reckon It actaully gave me nightmares for a couple weeks after it happened. It happened about 10am, but it didnet really hit me till that night. The day was just a blur

Yep, i learnt this the hard way
-
Yep, ive had $40k of mods done and only got redbook value of 9k

From Performance Car To 'normal' Car
sydking replied to Dani Boi's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Nah, drop the $30k into the R33. gaurenteed to biring smiles -
Car would have been stripepd and parts sold in the first week mate, if not then it would have been re shelled even quicker. Cops are useless with car theft, even they say its very very hard to catch unless in the act type thing. Good alarm and GPS tracking is about all you can do
