  1. Yeah soon as I get back from NZ I'll be doing one
  2. Well, here she is, at long last. I've had her for just over a week now and wonder how I ever managed to live without her. The subtle, yet aggressive exhaust, the manual transmission, the unholy steering that makes you think you are controlling it through your mind, and not a little round thing connected to a bunch of other stuff. The first time I put my foot down and gave her a bit of a go, I eased off fairly fast, thinking surely, these cant be road legal. After a weeks worth of driving, 500km's later, I find her to be a very respectable daily driver. I can honestly say that I can't find anything about the GTR that I dislike. I look forward to getting up at 5am to get ready to drive to work. I look forward to finishing work, not just because I get to go home, but because I get to drive my GTR. As to what I want to do to her, first things first, an exhaust. Then I'll be hunting down some brain dribbling speakers and a sub to turn my skeleton to mush, and to set off the pacemaker of the old person driving the Camry next to me... Engine wise? What else could I want to do for now? Faster? It honestly scares me to think what this engine is capable of stock. Nice to meet you all, and I hope to see you all on a cruise as soon as I return from the Land of the Long White Cloud. Regards Karl
  3. Cheers for all your replies guys Looks like I'll keep the stock Blowies and go for some Pods, still not sure what to do with the zaust though. I see mentioned to go for a twin pipe jap cat-back, is this because the GTR already has a decent exhaust from Turbo to cat? O btw picked it up friday, blew a tire on a brick on the road reversing out the driveway on saturday -.- Will show it off tomorrow night
  4. Hey guys, well, I pick her up tomorrow night Just a few things I'd like to know: I've driven a few R33 GTST's before, and love the suction sound of the turbo, on the GTR, I can't hear this, is this because it has a stock CAI or the fact it doesn't have external BoV's? In regards to BoV's, what should I look for? BoV's are sex. Exhaust-wise, what size should I aim for? And I do have a thing for the Dual Exhaust look. Many thanks Karl
  5. I found the GTR a dream handling wise! Can't wait eh, prolly pick her up on friday! Will definitely be posting pics soon as I give her a good wash n wax and shine up.
  6. Well I found my car, have the finance going through final stages, and by the end of next week will be rolling in style, with heavily tinted windows Oh btw she's a R33 Gtr in silver, the one on carsales
  7. Better yet, buy a TJ AWD Magna, stick a Raptor supercharger kit on and enjoy your v8 crusher.
  8. Been in to AutoWorx and the guys there seem very helpful and they have a decent selection to choose from
  9. I do about 600 a week easy, and I just took a GTR for a test drive today... All I can say is I want it, and want it now. Just hope the loan dont bugger me around, or I'll go hulk on the finance fullas ass.
  10. Hey all. Whoa so many replies! I feel so included lol. Seems like everyone is leaning towards the GTR and I must admit I was leaning slightly towards it (who doesnt want a giant japanese lizard in the driveway?). I earn a fair bit of dosh so i dont mind payin a bit of fuel moneys, and 90% of my to and from work driving is highway. To the cuz who said get a TK edition.. What is a TK edition? Yeah I was looking at that nice silver one on Carsales myself, might give the chap a call.. In regards to the asthetics? I think the GTR eats anyother skyline on the road, come to think of it, any other rice/caveman v8 on the road. So much presence to the machine. Any tips for things to look for/check when I go look at a GTR? Thanks for all the replies guys Regards Karl
  11. Hey all, long time reader, fairly new poster. Well my finance should be coming along nicely right about now, and I'm in the market for a Skyline I've been looking on certain websites selling cars, and have seen a couple of R33 GTR's for sale around the $25,000 mark. In regards to a daily driver, would a 33GTR or a 34 GTT be a better bet? I love driving and will be spending a fair bit of my sundays cruising around showing off how cool the car looks, hoping people ignore the tool driving it.. If a few of you peeps could please list some pro's and con's of both it would be hugely appreciated! Also, if you sellin a car, shamelessly PM or post Regards and Cheers Karl
