  1. So I cleaned the AAV, that wasnt the problem. According to my Power FC, the O2 voltage is 3.94 and the car is running rich. Could that be it? The surging problem is fixed, my 4 year old daughter messed with the idle settings when I wasnt looking and the wife didnt know that the hand held was vital to the car.
  2. Ok, so my idling problems are probably stemed from a dirty AAV and I know its under the plenum/intake. Do you have to remove the plenum to get to the AAV? I looked from under the hood and asume the AAV is near the rear of the plenum.

  5. I recently installed a test pipe on my car. Instead drilling a hole in the test pipe and fitting the rear O2 sensor into it, I just disconnected it plug and all. Will this hurt anything being that the sensor just measure exhuast temp?
  6. I appreciate all the input honestly guys, the nearest shop I would trust to work on the car is about a 3 hour drive. So doing alot of learning. I am used to NA motors, had an EVO 9 for a few months though. It was brand new so nothing to fix, LOL.
  7. I didnt clean the throttle bodies since I have owned the car. The previous owner didnt either that I know of. Tomorrow morning I am going to clean the AAV and change the plugs if I can find a set locally. I will look for the idle air adjustment too. Hopefully this will fix it. Oh another thing that started two days ago which I have to check also is the exhaust temp gauge is going hay wire, as in slamming the needle back and forth like a baby playing with a rattle.
  8. I have the powerFC. How do I reset it without losing the tune? Is it just like a normal ECU, unhook the battery for a few minutes? Thank you for the local on the AVV btw.
  9. I have a 1992 R32 GTR that has some idling issues. New motor and R34 Vspec II turbos with about 2,000 miles. After it is warmed up sometimes it will idle upwards of 1,300 to 1,800 rpms sometimes it wont. Then sometimes it will idle at 1,300rpm and repeadily surge about every second steadily. The two MAF"s were just replaced and the catch can is empty. I did the research and found out that it might be the AAV. Where is this AVV at? If this issue continues after I clean the AAV, what else could it possibly be? I dont think a spark plug would cause this but who knows. It's a pain in the @$$ to find spark plugs here in Korea.
  10. I didnt say I wouldnt send the car, I said I wouldnt cover the shipping. Not familiar with shipping cars from here but will find a company prior to a serious buyer paying for it. The buyer has to cover the shipping. SO sneaky1, stop being such the dick.

  13. Yup and also a not so tight grouding wire to the fuel pump. Would love to go back to a recirculative setup, but the wife is a skyline fan and also BOV fan. So she wants to hear the "pppssssshhhhh".
  14. I was told by the previous owner of my 1992 GTR R32 that this was one of the best sites for any information concerning my new toy. Had a 2006 Pontiac GTO but decided to jump on a deal I came accross. I am a US contractor in South Korea. I have a 1992 GTR R32, R34N1 turbos, apex fc with hand held, jun built motor (havent verified it yet), full exhaust and a few other little tricks. Pushing 1.2 bar right now for starters. I miss the Holden monaro (2006 GTO LS2) I had, but alwasy been a fan of turbo awd since my previous EVO 9 I owned. The little time I have spent on this site has answer several questions and fixed them. From the 4wd light coming on and off, low rpms stalls and a few other things. Right now though I am trying to track down a stocker seat to trade for my full race bucket bride seat. My wide arse kinda isnt to comfortable for it.
