SO AFTER POPULAR DEMAND, WE HAVE THE TSUKUBA SUPER LAP BATTLE Vehicle Regulations: - The car must have originated from a stock production car, no Racing cars allowed (SuperGT, JGTC, FIA GT, LMP). - Any kind of performance tuning is allowed (apart from tires), RM included. - Tires used must be street legal, max tire is Sports Soft (S3). ALSO THIS DOES NOT JUST APPLY FOR TSUKUBA, as all the times for different tracks are posted above, it just seems like most are racing tsakuba so i thought id write this up. Event Regulations: - Lap must be done in Practice mode or Arcade. - Driving Options: TCS: OFF Skid Recovery: OFF ASM: OFF ABS: Up to driver. Wet/Grass Traction: REAL - Fastest lap must be a clean WHITE time. - Submit: Fastest Lap Time Name Car Used Example: 51.682 - john dixon - Nissan GT-R V-Spec R35 '09 (this was the fastest time on the gt planet forum competition but traction control was allowed) Leaderboards 52.933 - m.c ren - Nissan GT-R spec-V R35 '09 53.125 - bunta - Nissan GT-R '07 55.811 - m.c ren - Nissan R34 GTR V spec 2 55.860 - m.c ren - Mines R34 55.946 - m.c ren - STI impreza spec C '04 55.956 - m.c ren - Nissan R32 GTR V spec 2 56.357 - m.c ren - STI 2010 56.501 - m.c ren - Mazda RX7 spirit R '02 57.045 - m.c ren - BMW M3 '06 57.170 - m.c ren - AMUSE 380RS Super Leggera 57.360 - m.c ren - Honda NSX type R as i stated, if you want to test your times on other tracks with racing tyres ect, by all means. it will be added to the other times. Bunta, what do you mean with one of everything? As in aids? I reckon we keep it to 1 abs Grip set to real And tyres of your choice More skill is involved What do you guys think?

Owgasm, post some times up of your best laps for other cars too. I wouldn't mind buying a few different cars myself. I'll give the vettel a shot on Suzuka, but I find it very hard to get a clean and fast time on the ds3 controller. I'll see how I go By the way fellas, times must be clean White times, if the time goes red for crashing ect, its not valid

somethings going on with my sizes, hope this works

smithy85 not sure what tyres you where using but after reading your post im guessing racing soft. i was trying to compete on ss tyres and i had no chance hehe your r32 gtr time is pretty good, my gtr time might have a sec in it as it was a little hard to turn in, its perfectly se up for bigger tacks so i dont want to mess around with it just to lap tsakuba. tsakuba isnt a track i really play as i thought it wasnt that technical, but after giving it a proper shot i realise you have to be pretty precise to reel off a good time. anyway, i took a few cars for a spin, both with sports soft and racing soft tsakuba 1 abs only aid grip, real SPORT SOFT times hks ct230r - 54.685 r34 v spec 2 - 55.811 mines r34 - 55.860 sti spec c 04 - 55.946 r32 v spec 2 - 55.956 rx7 type r - 56.501 nsx type r - 57.360 tsakuba 1 abs only aid grip, real RACING SOFT times hks ct230r - 50.956 mines r34 - 52.137 r34 v spec 2 - 52.678 rx7 type r - 52.800 r32 v spec 2 - 52.846 sti spec c 04 - 53.168 nsx type r - 53.584

R32 Gtr Hks Single Turbo Setup
M.C Ren replied to adam Foster's topic in For Sale (Private Whole cars only)
i remember this on ebay from the fiberglass front and the turbo setup, it had 2 sets of wheels on it and said it needed a tune in the post, i remember the price it was listed at but there is no point writing that up, when you picked it up was it running rough? if so what was the problem? what things have you done to it since purchase? and what sort of compression does the motor have? -
^^êxactly ^^ as for playing with a wheel, i would only play with it too if i had one, im living overseas at the moment so its enough karting my ps3 around, no way i could bring a wheel, but post up your times anyway, ill have a crack at tsakuba, my times will generally be fully tuned examples on sports soft tyres with abs 1 as the only assist, grip is set to real also,

yes its true, i havnt played forza, it looks like fun it does, but from the videos the graphics dont look as good, as for the car list, iv searched and found the same lists, it only states 3 sandard rx7s, but lets not compare the amount of cars in the game... its silly gt5 has 1031 also if a game comes out originally with poor physics, there is more room to advance the next game, this is a silly debate on my part i guess as i havnt played forza, but i find it hard to beleive that forza will ever trully compete with gran turismo, the gt5 network is massive, racing teams are willing to put a person who wins a gt5 competition behind the wheel of le mans cars for crying out loud. and they have won... from what i have read and my thoughts on x box, i cant see me enjoying forza more then a hard battled online race of gt5
-
Fair enough yes they play real football, and basketball players play real basketball, but don't tell me you think sportsmen don't play their sports on consoles Come on maaaateee
-
i have never played forza so i cant really compare, i have been a gt fan all my life and i hate xbox and their stupid controlls so i will also never be a forza man, im sure forza would be fun, and possibly more entertaining as a day to day game, but in the terms of driving i think the gt series at the moment would be hard to beat. im not sure how many settings and what settings can be done on forza and i have seen alot of people say that gt5's settings dont work on the cars, but that is absolut bolloks, if i purchase a car and fully modify it, take it to a track as it is, there is atleast 10sec in alterations that can be done. from the videos i have seen, the graphics are a little ordinary, and it is a proven fact that forzas lap times with the same car, tyres track ect are 5 -8 seconds quicker then gt5 and also about the same 5-8 sec faster then real life. i also think the physics int gt5 are very good, nothing can be like real life but revs over bumps and all that stuff are there, id like to know if lowering the pressure of tyres in forza actually decreases tyre wear very very fast around the track, because if it doesnt then its a bullshit option. the damage on the cars in gt5 doesnt show very well sure, but its new and needs perfecting, forza crash's dont look amazing and real either. i also saw a list of cars for forza a few pages back 2 rx7s 1 gto standard 32 33 34 gtr v specs 4 standard sti's 4 evos no nismos there are heaps of interesting cars missing i have a fully modded 89 rx7 92 rx7 99 rx7 bathurst 00 rx7 rz 02 rx7 spirit r thats just rx7s, lets not get into the 12 different year and model gtrs with different max powers at different rpms, im not even including race cars, then theres evo 1 - x, about 15 stis i do like the sound of some of the cars in forza, its cool to hear something different, i also must agree for the first month of gt5 it was a little painful, but once you get going, the different cars and different options gets me on there pretty often iv won every race and ive had most cars, the fun for me is racing against my ghost and perfecting my laptimes i can see how forza would be fun, but from all the videos i have seen it is simply too arcadie compared to gt5, arcadie wins with %90 of the public, but for the true driving experience i beleive gt5 is the winner its like the age old fifa vs pro evolution, fifa sells bucket loads more... but what do the footballers play???

ive searched and searched but im finding it hard to find leaderboards, this is for gran turismo 5 yeah, either way, im interested to see how i compete with other sau members

ok guys, after searching pretty much all over the net i cannot find for the life of me a decent site apart from the gran turismo site that people have their best lap times. not only that but the world records are only a sec apart between 1 and 50 and they are all using a wheel, i use a controller. i dont have my info in front of me but if you are interested, fill in the following. i think we should keep this interesting and have the following times with: all aids off except abs on 1 and track grip on real i always race ss tyres but whatever your times are post track: car: tyres: best lap: controller: maybe we can have an sau best lap times. i think if it does get some interest we keep it to ss tyres though ill post up my times later in the day

i personally think you would generate more interest by removing the stickers, it does look like a very good example, although the stickers may give people the wrong impression. free bump -
Best Value Hatch For Daily Driving.
M.C Ren replied to KezR33's topic in General Automotive Discussion
best value and anything german dont go in the same sentence period, the best value in my opinion is your toyota, mazda, suzuki, ford ect ect, they simply have less problems in the long run and cost a whole lot less in servicing. not only that but the parts dont have to be sent from overseas and you could simply be waiting for parts for a few weeks. its happend to my cousin countless times if she does buy a car from bmw. audi, lexus, mini, alfa ect ect. she will have to get services through the dealership otherwise she will void warranty, and be ready for $1000.00 plus just for the first service, and they pretty much just look over it and give it a service, its quite comical actually. make sure if she does decide to buy european that she askes when the next 5 services need to be carried out- 1000km then 5000km ect, not sure exactly when because each car differs but also ask how much each one of those services will cost, as each service has a different reason and the prices differ quite a bit. but if your sister simply wants something a little more luxurious then she will have to go european imo. a holden or ford with leather seats just isnt the same. but be prepared to pay and also be prepared to lose atlest $10,000 in the first 12-18 months integra typre r`s are sporty and quite shnazzy inside, but the exterior can be a little off depending on peoples tastes the 2011 Lexus Ct200h Sports Luxury ZWA10R with a %20 discount will get you to around $45,000 but be ready to cop a huge loss on any of these new european cars, you have the mini cooper, the vw golf and gti range if she wants something more sporty, audi a1 and a1 sport and bmw 118i but in my opinion and from what your title askes. i wouldnt spend over 30,000 max on a hatch, and def search for a demo in the higher price ranges, you could save 3-8000 -
does the rim stick out of the gaurd? thanks
-
fair enough, so how much would that allow you to lower an r34 gtr?
-
yeah they look pretty good, more interested on how they fit on an r33 gtr, i was scrolling through the uk gtr forum and found this, just wondering if anyone knows if this is absolutely correct and what would be a better fit on an r33 gtr without modifying gaurds 19 x 9.5 +12 or 19 x 10.5 +22? this is what was said (car spoken about is an r33 gtr) "9.5" +12 and 10.5 +22 are basically the same setup either way (is this true?) I am running 19"x10.5 +22 Top Secret edition TE37 with 275/30/19..with HKS Performer Coils...no problem so far... 10.5 have to be fitted with no less than 275 width..9.5 can be use 265" also what are the benifets of going 10.5 over 9.5 if there are any. cheers
-
wouldnt mind seeing the pics of the 19x10.5 +12, how did you go.
