  5. we had the skyline in the skidpan, didnt go onto the track cause we only got it the day before so wanted to break it in easy lol. We had the ae86 out on the track....not the one that rolled though!!! Anyone want a co-pilot for next practice, i am free
  6. What goes on in here then? Just cruising round SAU. Is this the "anything goes" section?
  7. Spotted a grey 4 door r32 coming outta the Woolies carpark in Darra, was it you??? I was pulling into the carpark and ya waved i think thumbsup.gif
  8. Thanks Vish. The r32 is pretty much done, well its away to the body shop. Ill get a before and after picture but havnt got pics of all the progress. Actually the before and after pic will be cool with the full new body kit and everything going on it.
  9. Ah cool, thats a good crowd. As long as we wouldnt land there and be the only car lol. Never been to Baskins ice cream shop so thats something to look forward to. Ill get some flavour recommendations closer to the time lol
  10. Oh they are lovely too, what ball park price are they? We want 18s aswell. Thanks for all the help aswell people. Some really nice options.
  11. Yea a few people have mentioned the Thursday night ice cream meets, I had to google where Moggill road was and its only about 20mins away so deffo going to go to that when we get the car out. Id feel silly rockin up in the old sprinter or celica we have now lol. Deffo not puttin the spots on the R32 - by the sounds of it we would get deported for a crime against Nissan lol. Do many people go to the Thursday Meet?
  12. Spotlights are just for looks although in Ireland there are alot of illegal meets. We all gather up and go drifting or diffin and i suppose the lights come in very handy to light up the place. AE86s are used as a rally car over here and the weather in Ireland is so unpredictable you need your car to be ready for rain, snow, sun and everything so the spots are a rally look. Havnt goned any toyota sites over here, just this site and just joined the boostcruising site 5 mins ago. Your wheels are fab but they would buy use about 2 months rent so id say unfortunately we'll have to go for reps.
  13. The spotlights must be an Irish thing, 4 spots are a minimum requirement for ae86s at home, some people have 6 and and even 8 lol. How long have you have the 71? What wheels are on your skyline in the last pics? The are exactly what we are looking for?
  14. Its not illegal if its dumped back into the exhaust is it? Anyway we have one that vents to the atmosphere.
  15. Where is the spit??? Cops at home in ireland, lived to hunt modified cars, is it like that out here? The only visible or audible legal mod on our skyline is the dump valve, would we get much hassle over that? Katie
  16. Any pics of your AE71 would love to see it. AE86s are cult cars at home. I think our here people stick 2lt turbo engines in them which is CLASS, they would be some pocket rocket then. At home though, they are usually kept standard 1.6 16v's but ours has a load of modifications on the standard engine. To name a few, lighted rally fly wheel, ported & polished & skimmed, set of rally cams and a few other bites and pieces. Heres a few pics anyway. Let me know what you think My E30 325i sport My old e36
  17. Thanks guys, some lovely wheels there. The car in question is blue, like THIS COLOUR. and its getting a vertex kit on it. The vertex kit seems to be pretty common out here but we plan on taking the car home and ive never seen a vertex kit there so that made our minds up. We were looking for the final konnection kit but couldnt get it made anywhere anyway what im trying to say is that the car isnt a straight and clean cut at the standard kit, its a bit more funky so thats why we thought the te37s looked good. Has anyone any advise on the te37 reps? We have been quoted $1550 incl tyres, does that sound about right or did they hear the accent and try to rip us off?
  18. Hi folks, new to the site. Rebuilding a r32 gtst. Its going away to the body shop shortly and just need to get a set of rims for it. Budget is about $2000 including tyres. Just want something nice to look at because we have a set of wheels already for the track. We had never heard of Te37s untill we found replicas in a shop window but they seem to be the kinda wheel we want. And liking the ROTA P45Rs. But cant afford these at the mo. We deffo want white wheels. can anyone suggest any others that might fit the bill other than the te37 reps and has anyone got te37 rep on their car??? Thanks for the help guys. Katie

cheers for the welcome folks and the pm. Ice cream meets, how class does that sound?!?!?! Deffo up for that when we get the car out. Like I said should be Mid Aug hopefully. Looked into the drifing at the QR, havnt been but the membership is reasonable, so hope to get back on the track pretty soon, although its pretty different from home. Drifting comes second after diffin (for those of you that dont know what diffing is - i think its an irish thing - look up diffin on youtube) Cool, thanks again for the welcome and hope to see ya's soon Katie

Hi everyone, Im Katie, just joined up. Moved here 4 months ago from Ireland with my boyfriend. Living in Brisbane. Currently in the process of re-building a r32 Gtst. She finally got started yesterday-music to our ears biggrin.gif . Going to the paint shop soon and after a few 'slight' modifications thumbsup.gif she should be out Aug/Sept time-fingers crossed. This is the first Skyline weve had. Back in Ireland I was a BMW chick, had a e36 m-sport and then my wee baby e30 325i sport. My boyfriend has a white 87 ae86 sitting under a coverage in the garage at home aswell. If anyone is interested, I have loads of pics. So back in Ireland, people with all sorts of modified cars meet up at the weekends and go for a cruise or a show, what happens here in Australia? We have spotted loads of class cars driving about but can never find them all in one spot. Nice site by the way, hopefully get to know a few of the members during our stay here and get some Skyline advise (im sure we'll need it). By the way, my boyfriend and I are huge driftin and diffin fans, we used to do it every weekend at home and are having serious withdrawl symptoms over the last 4 months, so if theres anything coming up soon let me know. Thanks Katie
