  1. Trust me Dezz, Ive already had a look on wotif. Some photos don't do justice, Im rather asking for members personal recommendations
  2. Hi all.. Im hoping some fellow Victorians could help me. The missus 21st is coming up soon and I would like to treat her to a night away from everything. So im looking at booking a hotel room in the city and do some random events (the whole pamper thing too etc.). Can anyone here recommend me a 5 star hotel they have been/seen? Price range is anywhere up to 700 just for the night. I have looked at Crown but would like to have a better look around So any recommendations of 5 star hotels that you have previosly been at would be good Cheers!
  3. To each there own Chris; Personal experiences have proven useful in learning what to buy/what not to buy etc. etc.
  4. We are forgetting one small point guys; The Force is trying to recruit as their quota for Officers has been under the state average for the past 4 years. Not many people want to be in the Force, And I can sort of understand why. Its not too good over in Sydney either; One of my mates is in the force down there and she is repeatedly put into hospital with cuts, bruises, broken bones, the works..
  5. Sorry, I would rather not Australia be made up of 90 percent immigrant families so that we can walk the streets without worrying.. The government is royalling assf**king Australia by letting certain ethnic minorities in and letting them run loose. Look at Dandenong for instance; I work there daily. I was doing a job at the Dandenong station and two fights broke out in the matter of 10 minutes. Sudanese. Thats just one problem. There is no screening or anything these days to let these people in. Sorry, A bit off topic and not related to the inner city problem but.. Alvin, You are on par there. Discipline. But Discipline ceases at a certain age for Teenagers. And these days, Its really young.. You can put as many cops out on the street as you can; I don't honestly know if it would make a difference; If anything, A lot of these idiots would feel threatened and start more fights.
  6. Yes and no. You can save money but at the same time is just a waste of money in itself. Who knows what the previous owner has done to the car, If there were short cuts or the mechanics who worked on the car were even legit. Could of been a backyard job for all you know. Purchasing a stock R32/R33 or whatever Juzzy wants, Means he can get a clean example of a stock R33 in a certain price range then look at what he wants then go ahead and modify it how he wants. At least then HE knows what hes done and whose done the work. Ill be looking at a stockish R32/R33 for cheap then throwing out 15k on it mainly for the fact I want to watch the process take shape and know that MY mechanic has done the work; Not some first year Immigrant named Habib.
  7. You know, I actually never remember there being many problems when smoking was allowed IN the clubs. Funny that. I agree with the footy thing though Travis; Im Aussie and I just cant stand AFL. I beleive it comes back to a personal joke of mine; How do you beat a leb 1 on 1? Snap his sim card. Sorry for the racial humour but come on, Its true haha Can you really blame the parents though? From what's been in the media for the past couple of years, It sounds as if the parents can't do anything, That their children are just flipping them off, Telling them to piss off and going out and doing their own thing? Parents can't restrict a 6'4" 21 year old, Can they? Its the latest generation of kids who go out, Get drunk as all hell, Think they are invincible and look for fights; Which in my opinion is just stupid.
  8. Major fail; No details about Manafacturing year, Modifications, History, Races won, Hp/KW. Might not be your car, But please do list more information.
  9. Im sorry, But let me stop your right there; Your saying that 20 fit police men, Can contain and "lock up" say..... 300 odd "Trouble makers"? How many clubs are down Chapel street... Roughly 60 places. 60 x 200 occupants = 12,000 people. Thats just a rough guess but thats what i'm going to work with. So you expect 20 Police officers, Who are "Fit", To control a general say 1,000 trouble makers? Are you for real? Do you know how populated and out of control Chapel street is on friday and saturday nights? 20 Police officers would be like a f**king needle in a haystack down there. Not to mention you lock up "X" ammount of trouble makers, The cell's would be full after 30 minutes. I don't agree. From what I've experienced, And I say this after I got held against a wall the other day DURING work hours by an Abboriginal, I beleive its alcohol and drug fuelled; Teenagers and young men, Mainly from the outer suburbs, Get alcohol in their belly and then they think they are invincible. What a f**king joke. Now Ban/Slay/Flame me for saying this next bit, But all I have seen in the past is gangs of ethnic minorities start fights; They have been the main culprits; Come to Australia, Do stupid shit and start fights and kill innocent people. What a joke. I don't see Melbourne cleaning its act up anytime soon, I just hope the government can do something before it gets COMPLETELY out of control. /end rant Oh; And cops won't do shit. Sorry, But its f**king true. And I come from a family whose parents were BOTH cops. Cops are too afraid to get their hands dirty these days. Its been a long time since I've met a cop who actually did get phsyical. Like above, They would rather pull over cars and defect us. Just the other day, I witnessed a particular bunch of "feral bogans" outside a Gloria Jeans in Pakenham start a fight with innocent passerby's. This is a group that is always there, Its like a hangout place for them. Anywho, The girls inside Gloria Jeans were petrified. They called the police, But the police did not do anything, They never drove by. I actually had to go out there with a couple of tradies from inside (friends of the owners i think?) and get them to move on. 3 blokes vs. 10 ferals.. And WE got them to move on. The Police would not do this ever...
  10. Hey all I don't know if this would interest any of you, But i'll do it anyways. I had a contracted job to do at the Nissan factory in Dandenong early this morning. Made my way down there, On site at 7:50am on a Saturday morning, What do I see in the display part of the main front office? This beauty: Majority should know of this car; I can just remember that it won the 1992 bathurst? Driven by Skaife and Richards. This was the Skyline that put the V8's out, And became hated by every V8 enthusiast possible yes? Anywho, It looked fantastic in the flesh; Looked cool too in the front part of the Nissan Head Office, Because if you can see in the pictures, There are small Japanese emblems and ornimants(sp?) around it... Looks traditional Jap. Got to start her up momentarily and sit in it.. Can't get over how clean and what condition its in. Enjoy
  11. Hahahah somehow i don't think this is true.. haha got pics of the interior though?
  12. Im Jy; Early 20's, been into Imports (180/Silvia/Skylines/Chasers/Stageas/Evo's) ever since I was of the tender age of 8. Live outer east of Melbourne; Work 6 days a week (to fund the new ride!); I have a company car so it doesn't bother me Mainly into Drifting, But I love and will always adore Touge Racing.. Have owned a 190rwkw 92 R32 Gtst, Dori-Spec 180sx.. Looking at purchasing something more Touge based in a few months time, Just looking into the market and planning everything. Im a gym junkie at heart, And love my Computers and Technical mumbo jumbo. Hope to meet some SAU VIC members soon. Cheers!
  13. Wait... Theres a Tsunami due? Bah! Im in the hills. Good luck to that!
  14. There is somewhat small peice of truth behind what he has said; In Winter, You won't see as many pests coming out, But they are still there. I see Ants and Spiders all the time this Winter, And they are "apparently" Summer insects. As for Effectiveness, I beleive this comes down to the Technician. If you know what your doing, you can make it an very effective treatment. Season has no part in it. If its raining then I will not treat as that just defaces what im doing; In other words, It won't be effective. You can do a normal treatment for Ants/Spiders/Cockroaches any time of the year and it will be just as effective as any other season. To be honest, His so called "reputation" sounds like its up the Duff. If a client comes to me saying they have Ants/Spiders in Winter, And ask if i can get it done, I'll get it done and not complain about apparent "seasonal differences". He sounds a bit on the high side to be honest Mate! Thanks for the word up. Im extending this to all of SAU as I feel it would be helpful and cheap prices in this time of the financial crisis could be very handy for all!
  15. PM Sent. PM Sent. If you don't mind me asking, Which company are you using? As for the treatment, I would need to do a prior inspection to understand what revision of the Termite pipes have been used. If you have any previous paperwork from the previous company at home, That would help too champ. With the treatment, I would need to have a quick look at the setup and how big the house is, As Termite treatments are a lot more complicated haha
