I've heard too many mixed stories about this to know if it's fact or fiction. From what I can gather, they're saying that with how good the technology is getting they can get you to the number, so why let people off who always do 3 or 4 over. Last I heard was if you came up in the system for always being over - you'd get a fine. It just doesn't seem like it could work though. All you need is your tyre pressure higher or lower then they were when your car left the factory, and it'll throw it out... or put on your spare tyre and it throws it out etc etc. It's all well and good that police say 'it's the motorists responsibility to have their speedo checked and make sure it's accurate' but they can be thrown off by so many things that I think it might all be a bit of a myth for the 2 and 3 km over thing.

I think you'd find unmarked ninja cameras WOULD make a difference. Have you driven through the silly new tunnel? The cameras aren't marked yet, but people know they're there... somewhere. So everyone drives at 50-70kph. I've only ever seen three other cars do 80 through there. A Porsche, a Supra and another Skyline. I overtake EVERY SINGLE PERSON in that tunnel, doing 75-80kph the whole way. If everyone knew that there would be unmarked cameras potentially ANYWHERE at any time, they'd all drive like nanas on every street. Yes, it'd suck that everyone would be doing 40-50 on main roads, but after the cops decide to fine them for going too slow as well, we should see a nice end result

no... pedders fail at life. They sold me the wrong tie rod end. So now I can't put the car back in the garage to lock the house up
