That's where the screw is to hold the lens in. It's stronger having it there instead of being the same one that the arms swivel on. They're probably the most comfortable sunglasses I've ever owned too The Pennys are smaller than the Juliets that might be why it looks more odd to you?

I think Straight Jackets look like sunglasses lebs or terrorists should be wearing and they make white guys look like roid munching asswanks. Saw a stack of Skylines up in Redcliffe today. Maroon 33 & Maroon 32 cruising together past Sutton's beach, then later in the same spot a Gunmetal 32 with the plates 60DZL and enough SAU stickers on the rear window to block out the sun a la Mr Burns. Also in Boondall I saw a beige 31 with chrome wheels... quite ugly/gay. And a white 31 next door to The Red Dolphin fish and chips shop (Scarborough). Silver 4 door 34 at the lights at Beams/Gympie Roads earlier in the day too. And sooooooooo many Mustangs and old school yank tanks out and about today
