  1. Just made payment for this so I'll be there in the S13. I've got no prior time at any track so group 5 for me please
  2. If there's spots left , then I'm in and will be making payment tomorrow.
  3. thanks Simon...i should get the bank cheque early next week
  4. DEPOSIT TAKEN!!!!
  5. Just a little sort mate...maybe u can borrow the rest
  6. Anyone here after an EVO?
  7. Hey mate, some of the guys from SAU have seen the car and they will tell you that it's not just the photos. It came in as a grade 4, interior grade A car, which is pretty immaculate. To get auction grade 5 in a 2001 model car, means the car is like showroom condition, i.e. no scratches anywhere, like a collectors car.
  8. Hey guys, My circumstances have changed and so I need to sell the EVO. I'm in need of a larger family vehicle (one that can support a family of 5) and so the EVO has to go. I also have the s13 now as a track car so the money from the sale of the EVO will be very useful. Details are listed below: Make/Model: 2001 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VII Odometer: 51,000kms Colour: Silver Transmission: 5spd manual Location: Prestons, NSW Modifications: - Blitz turbo timer - 3inch Stainless steel exhaust from turbo back - GFB plumb back blow off valve - braided brake lines - Shelby front and rear adjustable sway bars - Bilstein Shocks (same as the ones in EVO 9 performance pack) - tinted windows all round Car has never run higher than standard boost. I have all receipts for all the work performed. PRICE : $25,000 NEG This car came in as a Grade 4 auction car from japan with only 41,000kms on it and so it was in immaculate condition. Since then I have serviced it every 5000kms using Royal Purple 10w-40 and it's garaged overnight, therefore the car still presents and drives like new. I welcome any mechanical inspection. I may trade for cheaper family cars with cash my way. Feel free to pm or call me on 0407 931 097 for any questions.
  9. I wish i could make this one but I'll be interstate...been really keen to get out to a track this month...the next practice day that i know of is the one at Eastern creek on 25th Sep.
  10. John, I think I've already expressed interest in this day on the EVO forum
  11. taxi's run on gas which burns cleaner then fuel...they are always running and therefore the oil is in the right temperature to protect the engine components. It's the cold starts and driving for the first few kms that add the most wear on a car.
  12. Hey my brother-inlaw !! Welcome to SAU...
  13. yeah sure you are... I know u don't want me to experience it on a track...I was never game enough to take it out before I sold it to ya and now you're just teasing me with it and making me suffer, LOL ... only kidding .. It's ok, I'm first in line for a ride next time . HEY, BTW, thanks to both you and Chris for letting me borrow the tools, etc...i'll be better prepared next time.
  14. Chris I was having a ball in the MX5 and I was a passenger so it's no wonder Ando was giggling in the driver's seat!!! this day was such an awesome day and I can't wait for the next one (but sorry to those guys who have lost engines)
  15. awesome day guys.......and thanks for letting an EVO out on the track (especially a slow one like mine - i know I didn't do the EVO's any justice!!! ), apologies to anyone in my session if i held you up AND A MASSIVE thanks to Chris for taking me out in his crazy MX5... mate you drive that thing like a mad man..very inspiring, that's what i should do, i.e grow some bigger balls and then drive like that
  16. Ando, those coilovers are still under warranty, 2 years or 40,000kms. If u reckon one is leaking, chase them up. Or, we can go to where i bought them from and see if they can handle the warranty claim.
  17. Yeah, I need new rotors, better brake pads and some "real" semi's. The stock EVO suspension is ok but it rolls around a little it and pitches real hard when hard braking so swaybars and stiffer shocks will be help. But having said all that, I don't know if I'll spend the money right now
  18. with the times your doing on the track, nobody could call that car a pig....makes me regret selling it even more .... but then again maybe you're a "fully sick" driver and she may have not peformed like that for me ???? Anyway, I'm glad she went to a nice, caring guy like you . .... (and I mean that in a brotherly love, non-gay way )
  19. Hey Iain, go easy on the Silvia...you may make it upset I'm trying to sort out membership and payment for this day so can someone let us know how many spots are left?
  20. yeah i'll sort out my membership on monday and fax it through and then see if i can get the day off for the 12th June...
  21. I've been talking to Chubs and I'm seriously considering entering the June 12th Oran Park GP day...A little nervous though since I only just started getting the hang of the South Circuit and now I got some more track to learn . AND, I'm also seriously considering getting an EVO dedicated track car, but then i'd have to get rid of my daily EVO....
  22. yeah learnt that car control comes mainly from the feet, not the hands....
  23. LOL ..I got ripped off with that dustbuster!!!!! Yeah Bozman was awesome, he gave me some handy tips....I'll definately go faster next time because I'll put the bad thoughts out of my mind (i.e. thinking I'm going to write off my car and maybe hurting myself) and give it that 20-30% more... can't wait for the next track day
  24. What an AWESOME day!!!!! Thanks heaps to Ando, Chubbs and Clapa for helping me out on my first track day!!!! Can't wait for the next one...Looking to get some good semi's this time and maybe get rid of that stock suspension (if money permits)...oh no...actually got to replace those rotors!!!! BUT hang on ...first of all, I better spend some money on a detailer to get rid of all that dust and grass that's floating around in my car
