  1. Are you aware they are not legal, and if you crash your car with them fitted you will have no insurance? If so, ignore my post, but if not this could be vital info for you.
  2. Just for future reference IRFANVIEW is a free download and does batch resizing, so you can resize them all in a few clicks.
  3. Spotted (heard first) white R33 with P plates at the bay Friday night. He gassed it around the corner, but he obviously didn't know the coppers were set up just around that corner. Same car spotted a short time later sporting a new yellow addition to the windscreen.
  4. Good stuff, I know how hard it is when you're looking for work, so I didn't want you to be at a disadvantage before you even begun. As I said before, best of luck with the hunt mate.
  5. Hi Rick. I don't mean to sound like a prick (or the spelling police), but you've written this word incorrectly a number of times in this thread. As a prospective employer, a resume is one of the first things we see from an applicant. In this day and age with large numbers of people applying for the same job, anything you can use to cull the initial numbers is useful - spelling errors in the resume are a killer. I hope you don't take this the wrong way, but hopefully you used a spell checker on any applications you've sent to employers - also be careful as many of them won't check capitalised words, so headings are particularly important to check yourself. Best of luck with the job hunt mate, it sucks to be looking and not finding. chops
  6. I also like the 350Z Guy. I like it a lot.
  7. Nope, black elbow length gloves.
  8. ... and I like, well, lets see if you can guess...
  9. How long ago was this Cubes? My engine builder is Brenton and he used to work at Milton's. Champ is they way I'd describe him too.
  10. I Know Nightcrawler had the wheel on his S15 covered in leather, but I don't think it was any cheaper than what you were quoted - he might have more info.
  11. As much as you don't want to hear it, if the shops won't touch it without the head off, then I sure as heck wouldn't be trying it myself. It sucks to have to take the head off, but if you break a spring and do further damage the cash it would have cost you to fix might seem like chicken feed. If I remember your dyno graph, you should be right to try and save some cash up, as it only looked like a problem right up top (which is not surprising for valve springs). If you do end up having to take the head off though, I know I'm the sort of person who couldn't put it back on without some tickling. I know I hate it when the two choices that I have are ones that I think both suck - "she'll be right" or "big cash bummer".
  12. Now I hate you. Would love some pics to "relive my youth" as it was.
  13. Wasn't light green was it? PICS PLEASE! If it was green then I remember (and lusted after) your car. Ah, the old Anzac Hwy car park - try getting out of there once the speed hump had been oiled up!
  14. Internode here. 1500/256 40Gb/month. I DO need to do some cleaning out of things.
  15. Just a cpu upgrade - already running 2048Mb ram. Final specs will be: AMD A64 X2 4600+ (S939) ASUS A8N-E MOBO 2048Mb RAM (4x512 DDR400) XFX 7900GT (PCI-E) 800Gb storage (160+320 internal, 320 external in MediaGate) Viewsonic VX2025WM Hopefully the only thing I'll have to change in the next 18 months is to add some more storage as it begins to fill up.
  16. Apparently the 4600+ dual core is equivalent to 2 x 3800+ single cores, so even while not utilising the extra grunt available from the second core, it should be 20% faster. Really the only time I need more power than I have now is when I'm encoding video, and doing things while playing a game at the same time - this is why I chose the dual core 4600+ over the FX-55 single core I could have purchased for a similar price.
  17. I do very little that isn't multi tasking these days, so it should be very nice.
  18. Well I did it. 4600+ dual core on the way. Be interested to see just how much quicker it is, Tom's cpu charts suggest substantially so!
  19. Who says my youth was wasted! I so need new CPU now, my 3200+ is definitely the bottleneck in my system. You suck Nightcrawler, now I keep surfing for that right priced cpu. I WILL NOT UPGRADE TO AM2, if it's just a cpu I can deal with it, but if I decide to do the board as well I KNOW it will get out of hand.
  20. You don't do pigtails? Aw, why not?
  21. Two strokes all you're good for these days Guy? You are a broken shell of a man if that's the case! (it's all just jokes)
  22. Hard enough to drive that thing in a straight line isn't it - corners would certainly be "interesting".
  23. Thanks for the comments guys. Who said V8s can't rev? Although the limiter is set that high, in reality it never gets there as the trans shift points are set a couple hundred RPM lower. Thoroughly enjoyed the day, thanks to all involved in putting it together.
  24. Any change to a cars intake system has the potential to alter emissions, and therefore you CAN be defected for it. Unfortunately the onus is on the owner to prove complaince rather than on the police to prove non compliance. Yes, it sucks but basically you can be defected for anything non standard.

You gonna commute to Loxton Matt? Bit more local for you, which is cool. The "cardigan car" might come in handy yet!
