  1. bfi, is it Munro's current engine that was "disassembled"? If so, I can think of a pretty good reason too, but it may not be free for public info yet.
  2. I reckon $13,000 R33 will cost you more in the end than a $16k one will.
  3. Monday I am another year older. Andrew, see if David and "fiddle dee dee potatos" are coming. I'll see if Ham and Burgers are up for it.
  4. Providing it's not already out there on a car. SA's plates started at Rxx-nnn so many combinations will still be out there on old cars.
  5. Is that the white 31 that has the twin turbo V8 in it?
  6. Are you sure you can sell those plates? Do you actually own them like personalised plates?
  7. Now I know who you are. Hello, and say hi to "Uncle Robert" for me.
  8. It's pretty easy to remember really... everything=illegal!
  9. The more of your posts I read Joel the more I realise we are alike.
  10. Great going Sam. Any 60' sub 2.0 secs on true street tyres is something to be proud of. Mid 13s on your first ever trip to the track is no mean feat either. MPH says there's a little more in her yet too! After Danh's issues earlier in the day, we lost interest in running last night, so poker it was.
  11. Anzac Highway of all places? Hope they like the bus.
  12. $50 Sam. Possibly $5 extra for ANDRA day licence as well (it was last time). You need a helmet, long sleeves/pants, closed shoes, coolant overflow. Cars are scrutineered, so you must have matching axle pairs for tyres, battery firmly secured etc. They'll let you know if there is anything you need to change/fix. Sorry about the smoke Danh. Foot slipped. Ash started it.
  13. Car being serviced tomorrow, so I'm a possible starter for the drags myself!
  14. Not a bad idea however. Maintenance is cheaper in the long run than "fix it when it breaks". It will be so much more fun when you get it back!
  15. Danh, let us know for sure if you're heading out to AIR. I'd like to see her hit that strip. My car needs servicing, so unless by some miracle I get it done before Saturday I won't be racing. EDIT: with rain forecast for Thursday, Friday and Saturday will it even be on?
  16. Great launch Danh! We all loved it - 4 wheel burnout! That car has a lot of nice bits, once fully sorted it will be a mean little package! (not exactly sedate now) I got the top of my head sunburnt, stupid hiding sun. How were the flies???
  17. Yes, we decided that the burnout pad really needed to be about 1/3 longer in each direction to swing cars around without fear. Happy Birthday to my wife as well, who let me go instead of shopping with her and her family on her birthday!!!
  18. Sean, your car isn't street registered anyway is it? Why not go the whole hog, there's a 9 in that thing of yours anyway with a decent launch (or so close you'll chase it anyway), why do it by half and then have to do it again.
  19. double post sorry
  20. The only part of that statement I disagree with is the unregistered part - so long as it is not on the road. I don't know for sure though. What I do know is if your car is registered then it has to comply with their regulations - no matter where it is. I've seen cars defected in car yards wihle sitting on the lot.
  21. Well the breakfast is at the Grand, so I doubt he'll be anywhere near his place before about 9:30 really. He has a shocking memory, so probably hasn't even realised what day it is.
  22. I'm glad to hear you got it back too. I'd say pass on the lottery ticket though, your luck is all used up.
  23. It is too early for him as he has a breakfast on at 7:30!!!
  24. Note that he said "fully street legal" not "street registered". I don't disagree with what you're saying at all.
