  1. Absolutely. My post was in no way intended to tarnish the reputation of ET. Great work is never cheap.
  2. I think you misread me, and I may have done the same to your post. What I'm saying is that this kind of publicity is bad for the rest of you. The police who no doubt attended the scene will remember that "stupid fool in a skyline who hit that wall" and possibly treat OTHER skyline drivers worse because of this incident. If it was a "run of the mill car", would anyone even remember in a week? How many cars are crashed daily? Can you remember the last one you saw? I bet you can remember the last import you saw crashed though. The only person disrespecting the car in those pics is the driver. Hope this makes my opinion clearer.
  3. Nope, it is impossible, pure and simple.
  4. Sorry guys but this is bad for you all. It's the last thing skyline drivers need, more bad publicity. Only takes a few to ruin it for the rest. If it was a Falcon, do you think anyone would even remember in a week?
  5. I'm guessing New Year at this stage. It's in getting done now though!
  6. Diggy, he lives????? I must see this with my own eyes to be sure.
  7. Mark's work is top notch and he uses great quality gear, however it is definiely NOT the place to send someone on a strict budget.
  8. Any rust on a part of the car that does not unbolt is a defect and may not get through. Where abouts is this rust?
  9. Spotted Duc at the corner of Grand Junction and South Road this afternoon, turning right from GJ to STH @ approx 2pm.
  10. If small car Sunday is the 27th November I won't be there. Neither will Nightcrawler. Neither will Mel & Pawley. Neither will John & Erica. Should be a great day though!!!
  11. Another recommendation for Gordon at AAA. He did both halves of the exhaust on my car. $500 supply and fit is ambitious to say the least, especially if you're looking at a custom system.
  12. Don't ask Pawley, it's not a real happy story at the moment.
  13. Seriously, as others have said, buy one that is already registered in SA. Will be cheaper in the long run, even if you have to wait a little longer to get the cash together.
  14. Um, with a tummy that big there's no hiding that sucker! Mel is positively round and delightful!
  15. Wicked Nyt - more power AND less boost, wasn't the old 195 @ 17psi? Pity you'll never drive her in anger again!
  16. That's cool. As I said, you may or may not care. Information is power.
  17. You may or may not care but they are 100% illegal.
  18. Bring her home Johnny! Can't see it happening though, there's no room in the garage any more!
  19. Ash wass bulk pissed!
  20. Yeah, it got hit so hard in front the "2" is now behind the "3"! Not a nice picture. My bet is pinched and joyridden.
  21. fill gap with mesh
  22. Sam, Shell don't sell 98 octane fuel in SA, so if your car was tuned using BP Ultimate 98, putting Shell Premium (95 RON) is definitely NOT a good idea with an ECU with no knock control. To be honest mate, I'd drain it and refill - it might be $60 worth of juice, but how much was that rebuild again? A LOT more.
  23. No idea what rpm it was started at. That's a bit of a problem with autos though, if you give it full throttle at any lower speed it would drop back a gear, which is why I guess it starts so high up in rpm. Tuners with the software have the luxury of being able to lock the trans in 3rd gear. First run was done in a different V8 mode though, not Shoot_6, so I don't think it will give the comparison you're after. I only have the hard copy, if you really want it I'll scan it and drop it to you. If you want to do wheel speed things at a later date, redline on mine should be 6200 rpm, so you can work back from there. (approx 35.2 rpm per indicated kph, which would suggest approx 3500rpm starting point)
  24. Joel, can you add mine to that graph too, just for comparison sake, or post the xls file and I'll do it myself! Also, I presume you're doing the calcs for the diff ratios to do a torque comparison at some stage. Should be interesting to say the least. I also think the wheel speed on these dyno graphs aren't correct (I think Shaun mentioned that), as redline on my car in 3rd gear should be nearer to 200km/h than the 176 the run stopped at. EDIT: Also, are those graphs all from the same day, or are there others there?
  25. Here's the dyno sheet guys. Apologies for not posting it earlier. This run done in 1:1 gearbox gear, 3.91:1 rear end ratio, 235/45/17 tyres.
