i've already asked one member on here and heard his reply, but why are other people ditching the JayCar alternative (DFA) for NisTune? is the value:$ THAT much better?
-
^^^ that's the thing i was worried about too, stepping on toes. there would have to be a prominent publishing of who found out/contributed the info. are you a developer btw?
-
not quite. where that wiki is a general overview of stags inc model details/model specifics, this wiki would be stagea only, with more detailed information, maintainance guides, suspension information, DIY's and their results etc. for example, imagine the topics from the DIY & FYI page, but with definitive information, as opposed to having to read through 40+ page threads to find the single sentence you're looking for. I was talking to someone a while back about consolidating information so that there's a one stop reference where people find the useful information, straight away, in a single thread. that wouldn't work, but i think this would. it will stop a lot of the questions where the answer is "do a search" as well. it won't remove the use of the forum, or change it in any way (it'll be external, unless SAU wants to use it i guess). as people are still coming up with new ideas and different ways of solving old problems, all the conversation would still take place here, it's just the end result would be recoded in a single spot, with links to the thread for more information if need be. edit: something like this would work well for all types of modification/club forums. i would LOVE to see a wiki on nissansilvia.com and i could make one for them, but the problem is that there'd be so many wankers who'd try and f**k it up, that moderating it would be a nightmare. the community here appears to be united to a single cause, which is another reason why i think it would work

u've just gotta get a day where there's no cops on neebo/glorious running their "don't let bikers kill themselves" campaigns.

Hi guys I've been thinking about a wiki for Stageas for a while. The idea is that it'd be a lower level (stagea only) wiki, where people could sign up and contribute in the usual way. I figured it'd be a great reference, not only for noobs (seeing as the search on IPBB is pretty ordinary), but for all other facts and figures. Anyhow, have a think, tell me what you reckon I'm swamped with projects at the moment though, so it'd be a few months off. Cheers guys josh

Can You Put The M35 Front On A Series One Stagea
pyro-ns replied to RSVFOURUK's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
someone's done a Skyvia before.... maybe an s15/s14s2 front then? -
the first place that jumps out to me is Enzed. i can't remember if that's the place though... somewhere to start your search at least
-
i know you can get adr approved ones, but to my understanding, they cost a bit more...

considering how many braided brake line setups fail ADR's, wouldn't it be better to just replace the standard lines with new standard lines?
-
i think chook is suggesting you buy one from one of the workshops

then that's probably why i couldn't find the gizmo yeah, central locking works. the key doesn't actually work in the rear boot barrel either i just noticed. either they've broken the keys and re-cut the door barrels, or they've pranged the back and replaced the boot i reckon.

hahaha, cheers mate /feeling like an idiot orright! here's what i've got.... imagine you're lying in the back, with your head poking out the exhaust end, looking straight up.... tbh despite being visual-spatial (buzz word for the day ), i'm struggling with the orientation of the pic in FAST. 90550M appears to be orientated the same way as the car in that photo... but that would be pretty useless, as you can't see the side of the unit that would actually be facing the user when they take the trimming off... so therefore, is it orientated the other way around? either way, can't see anything that looks like the pic in FAST  gonna hit the manual next... as soon as i find where i put it... lol edit: yes that is a plug that's not plugged into anything on the right. no i don't think it's helping that its unplugged also, i've been going through the parts list and there seems a lot of reference to remote boot opening... does anyone have this feature? it appears i have all the bits associated (that i have come across) but no button/level/switch in the cabin that i can see. any s2 owners on here have remote boot open?
-
cheers for the mate, that's all i could come up with too. is the auto-close motor the one you've got highlighted in there (90502C)? i'll go have a look in a sec. might take a photo or two while i'm down there as well. cold bbq chicken and Ghost In The Shell are waiting for me!!!

Hi all After discovering that the boot should auto close ('99 S2 RS4V C34), i pulled the lining of it and had a look around for anything that's obviously broken, but couldn't find anything. So! The next thing is electrical. Has anyone used Nissan FAST to obtain elecrical diagrams or the like? I'm a FAST noob, so kinda floundering in this area... Cheers guys Josh edit: even better, if someone knows how the auto close in the boot works, i'm all ears!

quick question, is this a shaking through the wheel? i thought ours just needed an alignment i hope that's all it needs

Not quire sure what you've seen, but if you like Cowboy Bebop, you'll love Ghost in The Shell and Trigun. The girl and I are currently hacking into One Piece as well. She wasn't a big anime person before she met me, but we've just hit around ep 250 of One Piece now. Also try out Sumari Champloo. It's short (only 26 eps) but the story is VERY good! Couple of laughs thrown in there as well.

Do Cops Delibrately Single Out Imports?
pyro-ns replied to GTR91's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
don't mind me lurking... just feeling out the crowd before i open my mouth -
for an aftermarket headunit, that's all it'll be. run it to a switch so that you can prove to cops that it's legal though for the standard xanavi unit though, you'll need the harness like Chook said.

to the best of my knowledge, in australia it's not illegal to carry one without any kind of license, but it is illegal to set them off in non-emergency situations. the majority of flares that come with vehicles expire after about 4 years or so i think. the worst thing that i've seen happen by firing an expired flare was that it caught on fire, instead of smoking, lol. by "caught on fire" i mean barely foot long flames. that was 1 out of about 6 or 7 flares that were all about 10 years expired.

what'd you replace it with if you don't mind me asking? ediT: nvm, saw it's an 040 in the other thread
