yeah thats fine was just wondering, yeah nsw, got mine tuned by Mark at MRC performance in castle hill. i was VERY happy with my results after a shit tune by someone else aswell. mine was pinging, running really rich and missifring. Now is fine, running like it should. As to your question about if it could be anything other than a bad tune, mine was doing the same as yours, my 2 main problems were my iridium plugs were shit, so dropped some coppers in with .7 gap and my bov was blocked off, i didnt know about this as it was a gasket where the bov bolts onto the intake pipe. After this was pulled out and given the flick the car ran 10x better.

take it to a different tuner? i have the same mods with a z32 and mine runs like a dream. who tuned it?

how about going a custom 3-3.5 catback with a large rear muffer? ive just put a huge magnaflow rear muffler on mine, 4inch muffler in/out all stainless on my custom 3 inch system, really deep note, quite loud though at full noise.

it would make more noise on boost normally, like a loud shreaking noise, or grinding if its blown a turbo. a second hand one in good nick is usually $300, so not that much, can also get them reconditioned. im no mechanic, and fairly new with these cars, best bet is take it to a mechanic or better a performance shop they could tell you in minutes.

if ur running that much boost that could be the sound of your turbo on the way out, does it get louder as revs rise or when u hit boost? pinging is a yucky noise it sounds like pieces of metal tapping loudly together.

Fixed my missfire that i had for 5 months by putting in BCPR6ES at .7 gap, had iridiums in before at at heat range 7 and .7 gap and they were shit, but most likely due to car running really rich for so long.

i had the same mods on my R33, fitted a JJR stealth cooler and it had less lag than the R34 smic that i had on it before hand, and abit more power to go with it Worth while mod imo
