when i got lessons i got told to brake and not downshift cos when you make the engine break for you it wears it out so id brake then look at the speed and change gear to what is suitable

theres a reason you get this us vs them mentality, even away from imports, when i got poled by asians with tire irons my mum went to the station the next day and made me go there, i had 17 stitches in my head, i gave all the names, around bout where they live and everything and the cops didnt even call the witnesses or anything....and he never called back and when my mum called he said ohh we are on it, f**king shit talking bitch and then the first week i got my license, i was cruising around with friends in my mums camry, driving behind a green p's full of bogans in a VS with a southern cross sticker, he turned in to a street and i did too, there was a cop car at the lights saw me (being wog and having my other wog friend in the front seat) and did a u-turn through a red light, and then of coursed pulled me over and use the line "ohh someone called 000 to stay you were driving like a drunk driver", then breathe tested me, then when i asked who called? she was like ohh i will keep this information to myself, and then she started being a smart ass saying ohh im going to ask this person if they would like to press charges against you so we can take your license away and finally there was another time, my friend was driving his mums van, and we parked at the factories to kick back for a bit cos we were waiting for someone, and cops came, and drug searched the van, he called me dodgy for having one of those pocket torches from a servo, and he then called us boring teenagers for not having any drugs on us, saying "ohh im very dissapointed in you guys, i was expecting some extacy or chooof" so at the end of the day, if cops treat people like shit then dont complain when people treat you the same way back

i fully agree with this, my cousin brought a r33 gts-t and then sold it after a year cos he complained it used to much petrol, and in that time he never ever played with it like only once in that year i saw him give it a bit of accelerator and once he got to 120 he stopped.. he then sold it and now he drives his gf's falcon on gas, and he brags bout how it was the best life decision he made cos he saves so much money on fuel...and then bags me for want a jap car cos theyre 'expensive and not worth it' to him and there was this other guy down the road who traded his supra in for a astra... dickheads these days

haha yerh i told her, and my dad thinks it was because i was thrashing it but my friend who works at toyota as part time apprentice said camrys arent ment to be put on gas (mum brought it dual fuel as it was a ex government car so lots of highway kms) because the compression rate is too low so i think that would have been the cause as the car is run on gas 99% of the time thanks heaps for your help guys, yerh she will take it after new years cos she will be on holidays by then and il pull the nicest mother in the world line when the bill comes in haha and then chip in

i wasnt thrashing it... i was behind a slow indian so its hard to thrash a car at 40 k/m and thanks PM-R33 so it should only cost a few hundred? lmao and burning the car isnt a option

Well I was just cruising along, and there was a weird burning smell then BANG! a loud bang, i thought it was just backfire, but now the car has alot more power and when it gets to like 80 its alot noiser as anyone who has this car would know, the engine is very quiet I don't want to tell my parents yet till i know what it was, and if i tell them they wil probably think i was speeding or thrashing it

and the bit bout cops pulling you over in a import is part of the reason, but its also what you look like i was driving my mum's 03 camry one night at around 3am, just cruising and there was a commodore with a green p and southern cross full of bogans, he was in front of me and turned left, and i turned too, cop car saw me did a u-turn and pulled me over. she breath tested me saying someone called 000 saying i was driving dangerously :S but clearly it was because 3 wogs in a car at that time, cos the commodore had a full car load yet he wasnt pulled over and he was the only car around, so tell me how that works?

my mum would full yell at me for going like 2km over...and she still does it now and im on my p's so if i hit like 5km over she wouldnt let me drive for a few weeks lmao

i did read the thread, but if gas was so realiable and good to use, then why dont all imports have them then? i guess this just pisses me off, cos my cousin brought a r33 gtst and sold it after like year and a half cos he complained it cost to much on petrol and wished it was on gas :S like when you buy these cars you know theyre going to eat fuel

whats the point of getting a skyline and putting it on gas :S? thats the stupidest thing ive heard if the petrol price is to high for you then dont buy it

hahahaha well its not trying to act cool, theyre just cars i really like, and they have engines which have loads of options for ugrades in the future but are they really all 4 seaters? i thought skylines were 5, and silvias were 4? and my dad has a hyundai lmao so im not touching that shit ;P thanks for help tho guys, i might not get a turbo then, but still cant decide which car would be best for non turbo?

i wanted to get a turbo, not because its fully sikk. but because they only go for like a grand more than a non turbo, and also i could do work on the engine, so that when i get off p's i would have a car already turbo with a few upgrades, but also id know how to handle its thats all. so your saying its really not worth getting a turbo? thanks for all the imput so far i wanted to go the r34, but i dont want a 4 door ;P
