Hey Electro, I'm still looking for an exhaust for my R33 as well, I found out that BT Revolution, a business trader on these very forums can source Kakimoto systems - the one I'm looking at that sounds like it may also suit your requirements..it's a Kakimoto.R cat-back, they're not cheap but apparently the quality, quiet but awesome sound and performance gain make it worth the cost. Check out his thread for details: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...T&f=141&t=82023

Fs: Rays Volk Racing Gtp 17" Wheels + Tyres
RaseR replied to RaseR's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
SOLD! Thanks to all those who pmed/smsed and called! -
Hi there, I’m selling a set of Rays Volk Racing GTP Daytona wheels, these came with my car and are now just lying around taking up space. Details: Location: Outer SE Suburbs of Melbourne Style: They have a chrome outer rim with dark metallic blue spokes bounded by a red ring, the 8” rears have a little bit of dish. Condition: Pretty good for the age (mid 90’s I reckon), they have the usual minor gutter rash and could use a good clean; otherwise they’re not bent or damaged. Dimensions: 2 x 17x7 +29 offset, 114.3PCD, 5 stud with 225/45 R17 tyres – 90% tread 2 x 17x8 +32 offset, 114.3PCD, 5 stud with 235/45 R17 tyres – Not far off the wear indicators Other: They come with locating rings, however one is missing so the purchaser will need to buy one (not expensive, available at any tyre store) Suits: Skyline R32-R34 and probably heaps of others (S14, S15, Supra, 300ZX to name a few) Please see the attached pictures to get an idea of the style (one pic shows what they looked like on my car before I purchased it). SOLD! Cheers, Dave.

...it looks great without the wing (I had a grey R32 that had exactly the same kit) - it just needs to be lower, once you do that it will look awesome!

Japanese CATBACKs, TRUST, Apexi, Fujitsubo, HKS
RaseR replied to BT-Revolution's topic in For Sale (Business Traders)
Hi mate, Can you please quote a price for a Kakimoto.R catback to suit a Series 2 R33 GTS25-t Skyline, I'm looking to buy one within the near future. Thank you. -
I have a 40th anniversary R33 Skyline, some features include: .Midnight purple .No coin holder on the right hand side of the dash facia (S1 only I believe) .Foldable wire cup holder .GTR Wing .GTR style front bar Not necessarily a feature, but the 40th anniversary S2 R33 has a different crank angle sensor to normal S2 R33's....The same Hitachi unit as used by the R34. I wonder if any other engine components are shared?

Hi Guys, I've got the inlet elbow of an R33 RB25 turbo for sale, this part is hard to find and is basically a requirement if you plan to install an RB25 turbo into an R32 Skyline (assuming the turbo you purchased didn't come with it already ...and it seems most don't). Included also are the mounting bolts and gasket, so it's bolt-on with no extra parts needed. I'm looking for $50 shipped, shoot me a pm if you're interested.

Stock Bov Leak? Or Just My Imagination?
RaseR replied to WazR32GTSt's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
hahaha, let me guess....they crush it in vice? Yep, I remember this back from when I was researching ways to fix the 1G bov, here's some other interesting modifications you can do to it to make it hold more boost: http://www.thedodgegarage.com/turbo_bov_mod.html http://www.dejonpowerhouse.com/ (click DSM, then BOV-misc-tools, scroll down to the bottom of the page - check the test data, they got the modded BOV to hold 50psi!!!!) -
Hi mate, I'm in exactly the same position as you, S2 R33....Decided upon BATMBL split front/dump + 3" Catco barrel 'metal cat' but the cat-back section is more difficult...I don't want loud or a cannon this time around, therefore the CES cat back looks like the go: http://www.cesracing.com.au/ ...could go custom of course, but I'm wary, I'd prefer to use a tried and true product, I've also heard good things about the Trust Power Extreme II, noise and quality wise (if you're after a cannon style rear).

Stock Bov Leak? Or Just My Imagination?
RaseR replied to WazR32GTSt's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Hey again, The R33 and R32 BOV seem identical (I've got an R33 now) on the exterior...I reckon the major difference is that in most instances they're newer and less prone to leaking......that being said I do see/hear heaps of R33's driving past making similar noises to my R32 before I did this particular mod......they're meant to open up pretty early (ie. before the car even begins to make positive boost). -
Stock Bov Leak? Or Just My Imagination?
RaseR replied to WazR32GTSt's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Hi Warren, When I had my R32 I had the same thing, I also suspected the BOV was leaking, I firstly blocked off the little hole with a self tapping screw...this did make a slight difference, the BOV definitely opened slower but I still felt it opened and sustained far too early, it also made the car jerkier to drive with little advantage to justify the mod. So I went to the next step - instead of blocking it off entirely, I made up a thin aluminium plate with a 12mm hole in the middle that sits directly underneath the BOV (like a gasket), reducing the amount of air it can potentially flow/leak, I immediately noticed the difference, it seemed to pull harder through gear changes (particularly 1st to 2nd).....only problem was it obviously couldn't work as effectively, hence I got a bit of the flutter at higher boost, I actually prefered this to the wheezy. sustained sound of the stock bov through the pod, so I left it.....No stalling problems either, as it still flowed adequately at low boost/rpm....In hindsight, I'd prefer to install a higher performing adjustable plumb-back BOV, but my mod worked alright as a quick-fix........that I stuck with for 40,000kms! -
R33 Series 2 Gtst Parts Fs

I easily managed to do 0-100 in 6.5sec in my totally stock standard '98 R33 GTS25t (other than wheels/springs)....I didn't do a tyre/clutch frying launch either. This was measured with a Greddy turbo timer in 0-100km/h attack mode (it's hooked up to ecu speed sensor). So I definitely believe they're capable of low 6's in standard trim...

hey nismo_au, Actually you've raised some good points - I'm more familiar with the setup in the R32 where you can actually set up a cold air feed that comes from beneath the filter, but the R33 airbox is quite different (upside down?!) so same principles don't apply! I'm sure the stock snorkel is adequate, it's way better then the one on the R32. I think you're right, the uas snorkel looks like it should feed down into the hole where the stock IC pipes would be, if you had a front mount (non-return style - with piping going past the radiator fan).
-
Hi Guys, Thanks for the responses! Sounds like it might be worthwhile making my own - nizmokid, it'd be awesome if you could take some pics of your setup so I've got a starting point!
-
Hi Guys, Just wondering if anyone has bought & tried the cold air induction snorkel advertised on the UAS website to suit R32/33 GTS-t (pictured below). I want to keep my factory S2 R33 airbox and I'm wondering if it's additional to the existing airbox snorkel or a replacement, and either way does it make a difference??? At $250 it'd want to be pretty good! Let us know your opinions. Thanks!

Hi Darrien, Sorry mate - no R34 GTt cooler, I've got an R32 one lying around, but somehow I doubt that you're going to want it! -
Interesting, thanks for clarifying that! In that case, I just want bits in better condition then mine! The roughness has worn off mine in several different places on all parts which doesn't look too good. (changed my original post accordingly!!)
