  1. I was perusing Yahoo Japan and I happened upon this classic Tommy Kaira M30 Skyline for sale http://translate.google.com.au/translate?u=http%3A%2F%2Fpage17.auctions.yahoo.co.jp%2Fjp%2Fauction%2Fv182861787&sl=ja&tl=en&hl=&ie=UTF-8 or http://page17.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/v182861787 If anyone had deep pockets and a strange willing to own such a car they should check it out. Would be hard to know what standard should be like, and therefore exactly what you'd end up with though.
  2. Hi I'm looking to buy a set of R32/Z32 front brake calipers (non-GTR), prefer good condition calipers. Don't need pads, don't need lines. PM me with a pic and a price Cheers, Adam
  3. Cools, thanks Nerm, as long as it won't be too squishy! I do of course know where you live.
  4. OKbanana I'll chip in $20 bucks for a seat, or I might try and come between Mel and Zane (cause I'm a homewrecker). Where and When would you be leaving from?
  5. I spotted a 32 GTR last night leaving Dickson on the back of a towie around 9:45 pm. Car had black and white ACT plates and was completely painted in that ford bile yellow/green colour.

  7. if you want metal (aluminium or steel) and they're not available on fleabay you can try some wheel and tyre places, or go to an engineering or machining place and ask them to spin up a set on the lathe to your tollerances. I took an R32 GT-R wheel in to a Fyshwick engineering place and they made up 20 hub centric rings (five sets for myself and other MR2 owners) to fit GTR wheels to Toyota MR2 hubs (60.1 to 66.1). The rings are the right size and fit well but they made them out of the easiest material (steel) instead of aluminium as requested, be sure to be specific about materials and if you can, leave a wheel with them for the duration. cost was 11 per ring inc. GST so $44 for the set plus a bit of time and efforts priming the steel to prevent rust. PM for details of workshop - not that i recommend them too highly after they changed materials without consent.
  8. +1 when you can get them on your Holden from the factory, it cheapens them. The Ones on the holden are spaced too far apart, too intense and just look like a blatant rip off of Audi. Speaking of, Audi's have good spacing, intensity and features, such as switching in time with indicators. LED's, hopefully they go the way of my interior footwell neons - SWITCHED - and used only for a bit of a laugh at my own ricey expense! I've seen them in the front of an MR2, it looked like it had teeth that had just been whitened by a dentist - ridiculous. Funny them that a car rolls over on Coppins Crossing road about once a week in the pre 9am period!
  9. I've got a box full of 2.5" inch bends, and 1 meter of 2.5" straight all from Plazma-man in sydney $300. I've only used a few bits and will sell you the rest if your interested in going custom. You would need to get some of it welded and new joiners and so forth, Phillip Radiators can work on a design with you and tell you what you'd need to source for them to do the work. PM me if you want to have a look at my leftover bends.
  10. Cruising the streets of the Berra today in the ecologically awesome work hybrid camry I've seen: Shell - Northbound on Sulwood in her Banannacar A white R33 with red plates - up on ramps in its garage in gordon A silver 33 with a scuff in its bumper in Banks (which according to its sticker is 'For Sale') And because I bat for the other team (Toyota) 3 MR2's - Just cause they're awesome! Ha
  11. I will also add that in the Canberra Avenue incident, both adult male victims had past convictions for car theft. The fact that the adult male and female victims who were hit that evening also both had drugs convictions is irrelevant to their being in that accident. However their past actions have caught the attentions of the enforcers of the law and judicial system, they have not simply partaken of the consumption of these substances - but have sold them in such quantities as to be worthy of the Public Prosecutors meagre resources. If you choose to use these substances then thats fine by me, your choice to sell it to your friends i could understand as well. Do you feel any responsibilities for any adverse outcomes they may have? Do you have any responsibilities to any damage they may do to other people of property? I do however think that sometimes I over reach where I should not express an opinion on matters i do not understand and I'm wary of that. And I'll also state that no body deserves death, for what crime is so horrific that pennance in the form of ending the life is warranted. However, with multiple convictions apiece what where any of these three adults doing at liberty, surely penalties for crimes against the community of such gravity deserve imprisonment? Could even be argued that should they have been denied their liberty they may be alive today, and that the only truely inoccent life lost in this incident (that of the baby) would still be alive today, if not the whole affair avoided.
  12. There was a Series 4 blue RX7 on the side of the Barton Highway this morning just near crace, in case anyones knows of anyone missing one. Horrible POS chrome wheels. I also spotted a Maxima TI with get this a GT-R badge high and proud on the boot, I didn't think they made Maxima GT-R's?
  13. One was a cyclist that was hit by a ute. The ute also took out this 61 year old on road cyclists equally old girlfriend, though she's recovering. I know we should share roads with cyclists and all but really 61 years old and on the road? Theres also been that big crash with one fatality on Kuringa drive between Melba/Spence/Charny and the Barton Highway. Then of course the Scumbag vs. drug dealer chicken incident that was another 4 and the rest which i'm not sure on make 13, total fatalities for this calendar year so far.
  14. I'll take the wheels off your hands tomorrow after work for cash if you like? any damages? any pics? Give me a call/text tomorrow if appropriate: 0438 430 939 I'll be at the office so mightn't get to answer but I'll call you back.
  15. Are the GTR wheels still available? Can you tell me what spec the tyres are and the condition of the tread? Where abouts are you located? PM Sent
  16. Are these still for sale? Any change in condition? PM Sent
  17. Gorgeous! Thank you muchly.
  18. Hey Stinkypoo some excellent shots, did you catch any from skylines cutting skids on the pan next door? Or of my awesome angles *pulls* (read: spins)? Please....
  19. SAU ACT is from my experience a pretty responsible club. This forum facilitates the group to arrange; off street advanced driver training and tracks days, weekly meets of members where hopefully no irresponsible or illegal behaviour occurs, and the occassional charity event or free community event in which we participate such as the Wheels Day coming up soon or Marques in the park. Anyway point being is we are often un-reasonably targetted based upon the vehicles we drive, we are also easy to porttray as being hoons by the media especially sensationalist current affairs programs. These same programs often run human interest stories (although proportionately not many), what say the members of the group to inviting these same programs to witness and record all the positive aspects of this culture. Its a massive long shot really. Another thought would be to invite the police to attend an activity, as guests. But I can't think of anything that you could invite them too, that they couldn't possibly start checking vehicles for defects etc. Probably a Shi* idea but tell me what you think.
  20. You know, bathing or showering, usually aided with soap and shampoo. And when your finished with the Wash-ing, clean clothes including underpants.
  21. Those Patrick White Lawns are about as big as two sheets of the Yellow Pages taped together, they wont fit more than 40 cars on that patch. It is the bit wedged directly between the Lake and the National Library. If SAU hasn't booked space as a club and they get a good turnout, you wont fit! Also Im not too sure of the no cars on the grass policy. Im pretty sure Shannons has booked the same venue as it used this year (out front of parliament house between Gallery and Questicon) for Wheels 2010!!! which is grassed.
