  1. I know one thing for sure, a "locksmith" won't be able to help you with this. I was going to say take it to your Nissan dealer, but then realised being a 2008 it's an import. Just curious, does the car turn over or do you get nothing at all? What you need is a good auto electrician and a workshop manual.
  2. Yep thats a good description. Let me know if you want to catch up for a drive sometime, there are some great roads I'm sure you would enjoy not far from Perth. Of course, I'll bring my own.
  3. Yeh, good place to start. How are you enjoying your new friend so far?
  4. Catches many people out.
  5. Don't worry, work hard and one day you can have one too.
  6. Semi slicks? What tyres are you running? The factory one's shouldn't be giving you any concern in the wet, they stick good!
  7. I'm not sure which Nissan dealership you're going to, but I've had several first hand experiences with Nissan warranty's on 35's and they have been exceptional. You have to remember that the Japanese by nature are a very proud lot, and with this car they have alot to be proud of. There is no chance that they will damage their honour by disrespecting the number one most important part of everything GTR. That of course is the customer, if you've had the privilege of meeting the man himself, you will understand exactly how important it is to Nissan. The official word that we've been given at track days is "with VDC on or in R mode there is no question all is covered." WIth VDC off, however (remember i's prescribed use in the owners manual.) If you suffer a mechanical breakage at the same time as VDC is off and it is clear that the breakage is due to the missuse or abuse (remember VDC off is only for getting the car out of snow or mud etc) that particular part of the vehicle may not be covered on that occassion. One obvious exception is when a car is used in commercial competition, this is not covered. (Unless we are in Japan and simply lease your 35 from Nismo - track prepped for every meet - fixed price) With mods, be cautious as most modifications will change the balance of the car and will result in slower lap times. (Unless thats what you seek). Obviously Nissan don't offer warranty for parts not supplied by them, however most of the manufacturers offer warranty with what they sell so really, what have you got to lose.
  8. Congratulations on your new love affair, she will not dissapoint you.
  9. Enjoy the drive, I just hope you still have a license when you get back to WA! Watch those aerial patrols, they are the killers. Maybe you should invest in some counter measures before you start your journey.
  10. Congratulations on your new R, the 2012 was worth the wait. In all honesty I would employ the services of a car carrying company to bring it over, preferably in a fully enclosed cartainer. No it does not come with a spare wheel, run flats are standard. Tank holds 70 litres, how far you will go on that depends on your right foot. You could get as much as 500kms from a tank but I've seen as less as 140Kms to tank. It's an amazing piece of engineering enjoy it.
  11. Why slap down a fellow GTR lover? You sound like a stuck up frazza driver with a silly prancing horse on the bonnet, and red shoes to match!!!!!!!
  12. It is ashame you don't live on the West Coast, I know someone who would be sure to consider it.
  13. Have you driven a GTR?
