Replacement For 370gt Windscreen Wipers ?
The Max replied to phynicle's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Apologies for the thread resurrection but I thought I'd offer a little insight as it hasn't been mentioned here before. I read through a number of reviews and forums that the Bosch Icon and Aerotwin are two different beasts, with the Icon being the better one, particularly for longevity. Only thing is, it seems to be exclusively a North American product. The problem with that, if it is an actual problem, is that the aerodynamic profile will sit upside down on our vehicles. So, in the name of science, I bought a 24A and 17B for mine off eBay and mounted them today with that expected upside down result. Now to wait for rain during a high speed drive to see if that will be to my detriment or not.- 59 replies

What is the name of this part?

Steering dill pickle. -
There's a big difference between tyre shops and suspension shops when it comes to wheel alignments. I wouldn't waste my time (and money) on any of those idiots. That said, no one Pedders is the same as another either. That's why without knowing the folks at Campbelltown, the only Pedders I go to is in Granville and wherever he goes, I'll follow, because it's not about the shop/chain. It's about the one dude with the knowledge that I'm referring to and where he just happens to be.
-
If you're in Sydney, there's a guy I go to in Granville (Pedders) who knows his cars very well and always performs excellent alignments on my vehicles. I'd suggest you take your car to him and tell him what you want to achieve. What he says is gospel, in my opinion.

With swaybars the key is to perform the work while the vehicle is sitting flat. The best way is with a full pedestal hoist (i.e. one the car's tyres actually sit on rather than just from the chassis jacking points).

How To Pair A Bluetooth Phone In A V36

What year model? -
Oh? What about programming the BCM to accept the new headunit? If my memory serves me well, that's part of the process in the USDM workshop manual.

V36 370gt third brake light
The Max replied to chadchook's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Really? So that parcel tray light was an option? Mine has the factory colour coded wing (rather than that crappy little chrome piece) and it has the parcel tray light in there too. -
Looks like Xanavi have expanded their product range, eh? I'm starting to think having a Japanese girlfriend is overrated, so this could be a viable option.

V36 370gt third brake light
The Max replied to chadchook's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
First I've heard of that. Take a look at the underside of the parcel tray and see if you still have the respective connector on the harness there too. If you do, then I can only guess it was removed for whatever reason and deliberately or otherwise, never replaced. Did you import the vehicle yourself or buy it through a local dealer/private seller? -
Bluetooth Music Streaming On V36 Coupe
The Max replied to simon.zhurka's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
I'd like to defend you on this but I really get the feeling you haven't been reading through what I believe to be a very well documented PDF. I'll walk you through the basic troubleshooting steps (assuming you managed to pair it as per the instructions on page six of that PDF): 1) Check the Bluetooth settings in your phone. Examine the settings specific to your vehicle's Bluetooth system. Check that "Call Audio" and "Media Audio" (or words to that effect) are both active, in order to be able to receive/make calls and stream music from your phone. 2) If those settings are fine, take a look at the third page and look at the Disc button. Notice how it refers to a multitude of sources for that one button? That means keep pressing the button until you arrive at the desired source - in this case, Bluetooth. If the results of step one are fine, there is no reason for this step not to work either. Otherwise, you may be having an issue with your phone. -
And in that tree will grow an R35 GTR.

You can switch each type on/off on your phone within the Bluetooth settings. At least, you definitely can on Android. -

Power jack in centre console of v36?

Sounds like you need to find a better adapter, as it is an ordinary cigarette lighter socket. -
Find a disused factory with plenty of natural sunlight coming in. Switch on your headlights and go wild. There's one idea for you.

Spot on, Nick. I never look at the clock on my touchscreen.
-
In short, you can't. It's driven by the GPS and the offset can't be changed to suit Sydney time.

Bluetooth Music Streaming On V36 Coupe
The Max replied to simon.zhurka's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Once it is set up/paired for audio and your phone confirms that (showing "Call Audio" and "Phone Audio", or similar), to finally select the phone as your audio source, you need to press the Disc button, cycling through DVD, Music Box, etc, until you arrive at the Bluetooth source screen. Then you'll have full playback control over your phone as well as the audio playing through the system. -
King Springs generally have a pretty reasonable reputation but I question how much research and development they put into their products. Personally, I'd go with Eibach progressive rate springs because those guys really do seem to do their homework, coming up with a spring which is not about dropping the car on its bum but rather, achieving the ideal performance characteristics.
