Hey guys just got my top mount manifold and ebay t3/t4 on last night, now the turbo is in the way of the factory J pipe, whats the best way to get something made up? is it as easy as some pipes with different bends or can i get something made up it just seems so tight. Ill upload a pick and tell me what you guys think ( the pipe that is near the turbo intake needs to be at the intake manifold )

Bit of an update, got defected last week for tires handbrake and no washer fluid, i mean its got a 3inch front and dump pipe, no cat and 3inch straight pipe to the rear i started the car and the copper said nothing. So might just leave it for the time being ive got a t3/t4 ebay turbo with a top-mount setup going on soon and i know its going to be 10x louder because of the bigger rear lol so ill have to get it done to be able to drive the car on the road. Oh and btw its a rb20 in a s13 so im not sure about how much room i have in the back for a muffler as compared to a 32 cheers guys

I am having some trouble with the coolant temp sensor. Does anyone know how to test the sensor? am i measuring voltage or ohms? also i might need to rewire the sensor if i do what are the two pins that it goes to the ecu looking at a ecu wiring diagram only shows one pin for the sensor does the other get grounded, so pin 28 the positive and pin 30 ground? thanks, Andrew

Possible Faulty Coolant Temp Sensor?
gelousi replied to gelousi's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
nope didn't make a difference. I can put a multimeter across the sensor at cold start until warm up and see what ohms i get out of it. I know that GTRs have the same sensor and i noticed they look the same as a vl but im not sure if it will work. I guess i can just try getting one from pick a part and see how i go? thanks oh n Geraus its not knock sensor as my 32 4 door had an issue with the knock sensor and it was a totally different issue -
Possible Faulty Coolant Temp Sensor?
gelousi replied to gelousi's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I unplugged it on the way home from work still the same cold startup but there was a slight difference felt little like it had a flat spot at about 2500rpm on the freeway. Yeh temp guage is working to how it should be -
well what were you results? lol im having similar issues. did it start and run good when you unplugged the sensor?

Hey guys, i have come to a extremely annoying issue with my car. Its a s13 with a std RB20 in it nothing is modified or changed or anything like that as for yet. The problem i get is every morning before work i start the car it hesitates to start it almost acts like a carby car were i have to pump the throttle fast to get it started then it will splatter for bout 2-5secs then runs perfect, ill have a smoke while motor is running to warm it up then i cruise nicely for about 5mins until i get to the freeway at this time the temp is on half which is normal now my problem is this the car will not rev passed 6-6500rpm it will splatter and the exhaust note changes and has a flat spot as well as power is not there. The only way i have found out to resolve this is to drive the car for about half an hour turn the motor off start it up and then the power is there perfect Yesterday my mate suggested my Coolant Temp Sensor is faulty, the two pin yellow sensor near the temp sender for the cluster. Has anyone else had a similar or the same issue or what can i do to get it fixed. is there a way to temporarily bypass the sender just to make sure that is the fault? thanks
