  1. :)

I think you missed the point. Even at 110kph, you should be getting around 11km/L as all the hard work is accelerating up to that speed, not maintaining it (unless uphill/ headwind etc)

try taking it to 120kph, then backing off and gently applying a light foot to maintain 110kph. You will be amazed how different your economy is (especially if you can control your right foot after holding your desired speed) when compared to accelerating up to a certain speed and holding it.

I tend to miss the point alot

Yeah, i get great fuel consumption on highways. I pretty much average 550km a tank now and I have developed a bit of a lead foot. I would get more if I didn't live on a mountain range.

  2. Terry, I don't think her mum will say yes (well, I know she won't since she already told me :)).

Gimps, I'm unsure, but if someone can go guarantor then that's an option - I'd be willing to do it for her and I've got enough to easily cover the loan so the bank should approve it if I did that but like you said, not sure if you can do that for loans. Not sure if she'd want me to though.

YoYo, she is looking at 2003ish so it just comes in under the 7 year mark.

    ---

I'll link her to this thread when she is online next and let her make up her own mind.

  3. Personally, I think the best solution would be to go into the individual banks and ask what their requirements are. Find the one with the lowest requirements, meet said requirements, apply for loan.

But someone out there might have some extra info but for some reason I doubt there is an industry secret.

  4. friend's sister called my black RS Four S a hearse

get so many puzzled looks when people pull up next to it at the lights (not many around my area)

surprised a few Commodore drivers on the weekend (who tried to cut in from the outside where the lane ended)

    i'm loving it

Yeah, I surprised someone in a falcon the other day on the way home from work. Tool was going 70kph in an 80kph zone and it changes to double lanes around all the roundabouts. Absoloutely smashed him going through the bend. He gave me the thumbs up though so he wasn't to bad.

  5. Hmm, jsut tell them she's been working for a year?

Either that or just apply with whatever bank her pays go into. if they see she is saving some money and money going in regularly they'll approve her.

Isn't it standard practice to ask for pay slips which displays your yearly earnings to date?

  6. Got a friend who is looking to get a small car loan shortly.

She's after 7k and she'll have a 2k deposit so a total of 9k. Problem is she is a casual and hasn't been working for that long.

I was approve by St George when I was casual at dominos and had only been working for 3 months but the site says a minimum of 1 year now.

Does anyone know of which bank or w/e is most likely approve her?

  7. depends how you do it. audio INTO the OEM radio is a cinch- 8pin DIN lead in the rear of it - done. video - again depends on how you do it.

    Thanks mate.

Might be easier to design everything then just come to you for integration. I simply want to install my CarPC and have it run MediaPortal through the main popup screen initially though I wasn't sure if I'd need to replace the popup with an aftermarket screen (unsure of quality for text) - hopefully at the same time as I get the CC and alarm done... Lets just hope I don't get hit with another huge CC bill once I pay my current one off ;(

  8. As skyline enthusiasts, you're all much more likely to notice a skyline driver doing the wrong thing.

I know I struggle to ignore that feeling myself. I love skylines, 1 in 100 might do something wrong but because I like them so much it means I pay more attention and that 1 will piss me off more than 10 people screwing around in a commodore

Stageas though... I've never met a wanker stagea owner.

  9. ... LOL would I have swerved if it wasn't on the road?? Now that I think of it, would it have been better to have hit the damn thing??

Ok so the old man knows a mobile mechanic at Cannington that is going to take a look at it on Saturday. So should I get hold of a control arm (found one for $225 delivered, is that reasonable?) so he has it on hand?

Better for you, but I'd take all necessary safe steps to miss someones dog personally. But then I'd also attempt to capture the dog or at least burn an image into my mind so the owner can pay.

  10. Damn. I need the backs even darker than they are. I might just get it done. I don't really care about seeing out the back - I've got mirrors

knobs keep riling my dog up every time I leave my car. I left it for 5 minutes the other day and some tradie thought it'd be funny to tap on my window...

  11. I'm on the Sunshine Coast :) Brisbane isn't far, I have to go there for almost everything I do already

We're just about to hit our busy period at work (it's already starting) but will try talking to work and see what they can do with scheduled time off.
