hahaha, thanks mate, try Windy Wellington in New Zealand!!!. not in aus sorry dude. Umm, thanks for that, im pretty sure ill get the wiring sussed out fine, how much length will i need from headunit to amp(if im placing it in the back), and what gauge wire should i run, im going to do it bit by bit.And also......i want to place the sub in a place where its not in the way at all....is this possible in the 33's??, i was thinking next to the hicas ecu or something, so i can still get my spare tyre out etc no problems, and still have all the boot space!. Also, what type of sub/amp combo would work well for cheap for some punchy bass(not big and boomy), im nt even into big car stereo, but mine just plain sux even after the new headunit, and speakers!!! thanks

im wanting to install an amp and a sub into my r33, just wondering if theres a tut on running the wiring etc, i want to do it myself, but need some pointers on how to do it, i guess i run a cable form the preout off my new pioneer headunit around the drivers side dash(underneath), and around the door trim down the bottom?.....is it easy to remove everything??? need some guide please, i like doing things myself, even if it takes me 10 times longer than someone else whos done it! also, wheres the easies place to mount a sub?

Hey guys, i'd like to know what i need to get my car sounding a little better than what i currently have, i bought a new pioneer headunit (mosfet 50wx4), and 4 6" pioneer 2 way speakers (rated at 160w), i thought my car wouldve sounded much better now, how wrong could i be!. The car is lacking bass big time, i only really want 4 speakers and no sub, and kind of like the sound from my old mans factory 2000 ford au fairmont, which is what i was hoping to acheive, but its lacking the bass big time.what do i need to make it sound good without a sub, i know of cars without sounds that have semi ok bass, which is good enough for me. also, my aerial goes up even when im playing cd's in my r33(not with the tuner active), this never used to happen, what couldve caused this???

Manual Conversion Parts Cpmpatibility
nsta replied to dori34's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
hey i had that rpm tacho problem, basically when it was delivered the tacho needle had dropped, i had to open up the enclosure, and move the needle back to the zero position(which sits there via a little pin on the speedo) it could be something else though -
Went From Auto To Manual, and My Speedo Is Way Out
nsta replied to nsta's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
update as requested: chenged speedo cluster in the weekend, to a manual series 2 gtst one, now everything is all good, i think my speedo is a little off still because of the auto diff, will the auto diff mean its reading a lower reading opr a higher one? -
"Unless you can find the precise spot halfway up the travel of the pedal where there is 1cm of movement from off to on; without going too far and stalling it, or too slowly and youve just rolled into the car thats up your arse.... All clutches werent created equal, some are harder to drive than others, as its not my daily driver i dont know the car inside and out. We cant all be perfect. The handbrake works so it use, less rpm, no rolling backwards, less clutch wear" very well said, though i use mine day in day out, and most hill starts i dnt need the handbrake for , those steep hills though, man they are a bi#ch to start on!try paralell parking on a hill with a car infront and behind, now that takes some effort on a twin plate clutch hahaha

Hey guys, i had very little power steering for about a week, and got so used to it(and actually liked it alot that way), and then we plugged in a sensor and power steering is all working again....and now that i have the power steering assist, i have come to realise how much i dont actually like it, that 1week driving with very little power steering was awesome, it felt really responsive on the road, even at low speeds. my question is: is there any way to adjust the power steering on the r33 gtst's so we can have it a little heavier all round???i liked mine that way (i know how many would kill to just have their ps back, i was like that too, but now i dnt want it as much haha), i removed the hicas on my car aswell.

cheers mate, whats the life expectancy of a fully rebuilt manual transmission?ikm just thinking of doing this once my box starts to get old, it works out cheaper in the end, and at least that way you know youve got a new box recon. and not taking the risk buying another 2nd hand one that may be rooted! -

Hey guys, i went to check my brake fluid level today as i just replaced both front/rear pads for my r33 gtst, and found that the fluid was right at the top of the reservoir, and i think i saw traces ov it being spilt!.What could cause this to happen?and how to i get it fixed? been searching the forums, and the diy thread on changing brake pads never mentioned bleeding the brakes at the same time, which i think i was meant to do, could i have cause serious damage to my cylinder now?as i didnt take off the nipple, or the master cylinder cap when pulling back the pistons on the caliper.

update guys: im getting much better driving these twins now, only hill starts are a bitch, i just take my time hahaha. I wouldnt go for anything else in saying all this, as when it catches, it catched hard, and i love it, im so used to stalling the car, its become 2nd nature on the street, but yeh im down to about maybe once every 3 days?....getting there slowly:)

hey guys, just an update, i replaced the speedo instrument cluster on my r33 with a manual gtst one, and the speedo is reading perfect now, maybe a bit off cause of the auto diff but nothing much, would this mean my speedo sender itself is fine???? ive taken my car to a mechanic whos advised that my whole wiring harness will need to be redone as when we done the conversion we screwed it up!, he also said theres a loom that goes back to the powersteering, which is prolly the root cause of my problem, and that the series 1 speedo senders, and the series 2 speedo senders are different(i have a series 2 box in a series 1 car - so hes going to replace with a series 1 speed sender and try that as well) PS my rear reverse light and oil pressure gauge aint working aswell. any help?

Hey guys i recenetly done an auto to manual conversion in an r33 with a box that had done 51000kms(rb25det), problem is when shifting from 3rd to fourth in high rev range, theres a slight crunch, and no its not my driving hahaha. Are my synchros gone?and should i take it easy cause its doing that?
