which rail would suit best?, are therecaro rails good, do they sit lower etc???...

hahaha, im quite used to it now anyway, ~ 1 weeks driving. But like someone said, you just have to concentrate when driving.

Both my cars are wearing out now, and was wondering which option i should take? 1)get some crappy pads for time being till i can afford decent ones(front and rear) 2)get some really good front pads now, and wait a while longer and get the rears as money is an option 3) you tell me

Hey guys, i recently converted from auto to manual in my series 1 r33 gtst, and used a manual r33 rb25det series 2 box, is the speed sender on the series 2 different to that of the series 1?i still running the series 1 ecu,im just looking at all the options, and thought this could be one of them?if the senders are different, will i be able to just replace with series 1 rb25det sender and get it to work?

yeah i look like a tool when i drive my clutch sometimes. get laughed at and everything, little do some of these ppl know how hard it can be at times....i love my clutch though

Thanks mate, well hicas ecu is still there, i havent checked the power steering pump yet, i will do so though. We done a manual conversion the same time we did the hicas lock, and my speedo is off by half, so maybe the speed sender is at fault causing this as you said that on the r33's the power steering is controlled electronically via the speed sensor? what you guys think???

hahaha, i know what you mean, its so hard to get used to,im slowly getting used to it though:). Hill starts are the worst for me, i cant count the no. of times i have stalled on a semi steep hill, its embarassing yeah, but those guys have no clue what i have to drive hahahaa

how do you drain the power steering fluid, and wat fluid should i top it up with???, maybe that might be the problem?

mmm, interesting......i just disconnecting everything plugging into the unit and replaced with lock bar, got a wheel alignment and thats it. Now i have no power steering, yes i have a hicas light on 24/7, no biggie though.

bump, been doing heaps of search and research on this forum, and it looks as though the auto speedo sender doesnt work on the manuals 25t box, is smaller in length too, as i pulled it out. How is the speedo suppose to be wired up, im thnking i may have done it wrong.

I just installed a hicas lock bar on my r33 gtst series 1 using geoffgtr's hicas lock, and pulled the whole unit out, and everything plugging into it, though i havent pulled out the hicas computer in the rear parcel shelf. Now i have no power steering at all. I dont know what the problem is, but it seems alot of other r33 gtst owners have the same problem too?.or have i removed it incorrectly?also, im changing my speedo this week, which bulb is for hicas?

Installing the manual speedo cluster this week, if that doesnt fix my problem, and my power steering problem, will getting the speedo recalibrated fix it once and for all?

Hey guys, i recently converted my car from auto to manual, thus not needing an auto tranny cooler anymore, its just sitting there doing nothing now! whats the safest way to remove it all, and will i need to block of the lines on the radiator????, i was thinking of just removing the cooler, and the two hoses connected to it, and tracing them back and removing them aswell.....it seems as though theres two hose that are going into the radiator coming from the tranny cooler?

anyone have any luck figuring out why this is?, my sender is showing half speed aswell after going from auto to manual r33 using an rb25det box, series 2. I can buy a speedo cluster for cheap though

Hey guys, as topic suggest, how are we to drive using twin plates clutches, what are the do's and dont's, and when im in gear and not under load, sometimes my clutch makes a really wierd rattling noise, is this normal???, this generally only occurs when the gear is straining, ie the gear its in is not really holding, and i should be dropping the gear down one

Hey guys, i done the conversion from auto to manual in my r33, with a 25t box, and we plugged the manual speed sender into the box thinking it should be sweet.... i took it for a drive, and the speed is showing around roughly half of what it should, ie when im doing 100, speedo shows me doing 50km. Was i suppose to just plug in the auto speed sensor to the manual box?will that fix my problem?, i dont need an r33 speedo cluster do i? this is affecting not only my speedo, but my steering as well!!!

how far up?and is it hard to adjust???do you think this is the root of the cause???
