Bedding In Gearbox And Clutch
nsta replied to nsta's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
thanks, im currently 100kms into it, its hard to drive the clutch normally, and not hard hehehe, thanks for the input, from my understanding, i can drive the car as hard as i want once in gear, but no launching at all, and when shifting, shft normally and dont dump the clutch?, im taking precautions, as the clutch cost me 2500! -
Hey guys, just converted from auto to manual r33 rb25det, and few issues, the speedo says im going 30km, when im doing around 90km, and also, when in neutral, and oil temp guage goes all the way too full, then once its in gear, it shows as being nothing. And my rear reverse light not working now. any help is much appreciated:)

Just installed my new nismo super coppermix clutch, and its got a very light pedal feel to it(i bought a nismo large slave), but its really on/off, i mean once its disengages, it just catches and goes, and i have to be several meters away from the car infront to make sure i dont hit it, its good for launching, but traffic is a bitc*, does this sound normal???, and anyway to make the clutch feel more progressive?

I just changed the clutch in my r33 gtst to a nismo 640ps twin super coppermix, and the pedal feel is light as, but the actual clutch is really progressive and either on or off, bites well though, and catches gears just aswell....still wearing in the clutch.could this be because the clutch is not bled in properly, and maybe still air in the system?

Hey guys, i converted my car from auto r33 gts25t to manual using an rb25det box, clutch used was a brand new nismo suppper coppermix twin plate with braided clutch lines, nismo release pivot and larger slave. I dont know if ive done it right, but the clutch has an extremely light feel to it, and it's really on or off, and hard to progressively pickup cause of this.....is this the case with the twin plates usually, i havent tested how well the car bites yet since im wearing it in so please be aware of that. Other issues, car speedo is way out, ill be doing arouind 80km, and speedo will show 30km, and also reverse light not working

Os Giken Twin Plate Clutch In A Daily Driver
nsta replied to funkymonkey's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
i was sold on the nismo super coppermix, but these clutch kits sound good aswell?.....im thinking between the nismo and os giken street twin plat str2cd....the os is cheaper...does the os kit come with everything you need to bolt straight up?...please help -
Im short on cash after buying my r33 gearbox which has done 51000 kms on an 97 motor, and dnt have enough money for a clutch now....the stock clutch is in great nick, and i was wondering if i should bother replacing it or not with the following mods done to my car: 94 r33 gts25t 3" exhaust pod filter + cold air feed + box FMIC boost tap running 10psi im converting from auto to manual.....the auto box seem to handle the power no problems.....how long will the clutch last if i dont rebuild or replace it with something stronger?

Hey guys, i bought some new rims and they need 5mm spacers to clear the brakes....the rims are 18 x 9.5 et 30 for the fronts, and same for the rear on a r33 series 1 gtst coupe....my question is, will this affect handling in anyway, and i was thinking of buying lenghened studs as im paranoid the wheel will fall off! what do you guys think?

Nismo Super Coppemix Twin Or Single?
nsta replied to nsta's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
thanks for all the replies guys, im definitely sold on the coppermix, but dont know whether or not to go for the single coppermix, or twin with my application?, anyone care to let me know, at this stage theres a reasonable price difference between the two, meaning i could use that money elsewhere if the twin is not needed. Does anyone actually own a single plate coppermix? -

Nismo Super Coppemix Twin Or Single?
nsta replied to nsta's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
so the single will cope with the power no probs, just a little less bite when you launch hard as opposed to the twins, im just wondering what others have with about 250rwkw and whether or not they can justify the big price jump between the two clutches, im sure both coppermix models are great though! -
Nismo Super Coppemix Twin Or Single?

Bump.....just while on the subject, for my power goal of just a tad iver 250rwkw, is the twein plate coppermix really necessary?...i mean could i get away with using the nismo coppermix single plate rated at 420ps instead?.....it would save me a heck of alot of money. anyone using the single plate nismo with around 250rwkw? thanks!
