Hey guys, ill be replacing my shocks in the r33 gtr today, and would like to confirm the torque settings for the bottom strut nut (the really tight one connecting to the eyeball).....and the two top nuts of the struts (in the parcel tray area)... Also need to know wheel nut torque specs.... I dont have a handbook on me.... Thanks:)

Hey guys, i just got a set of bigger rims for my gtr, they sit flush with the guards, very flush infact, problem is that when i do a full lock, the car rubs and cant go any further meaning when im turning my wheel, i lose the last ~45degrees of turning, which isnt really all that much... it seems as though the tyres are rubbing against my guards at a point where its hitting the chassis (its a solid part where it hits thats for sure).... Now what are my options.....is this dangerous, will it chew through my tires etc???? Dont know what to do, all i know is with the stock rims, the tyres can turn full lock, with my bigger wheels, i lose the last ~45degrees when steering and trying to do a full lock... What are oyur thoughts, change my rims?

Getting Camber Adjusted For Guard Clearance....
nsta replied to nsta's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
What i mean was would they adjust it so its just under the guard like id want it or not? or will they adjust to what they see fit and call it a day? -
I know a guy at a firestone outlet that always looks after me when getting a wheel alignment done.....this time its a bit different though, i need my rear camber adjusted so that it will clear my guard and tuck the tyres just under the rear guards (right now its got too much positive camber causing it to hit the guard.....) do you guys reckon hell adjust it just to a point so it sits under my guard and no more (which is the look i want, that tough street look (no more neg camber than is need - jst enough to stop it hitting the guard) - my guard lip has been rolled up already)....im assuming it could be a bit tedious since he may need to drop the car, adjust, raise again, set, drop etc....but i hope he will??? his car has the same look i want, and im pretty sure he can acheive the look i want Id do it myself if i knew how but i dont know how....

Hub Centric Wheel Spacers On R33 Gtr
nsta replied to nsta's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Alright the spacers are on........ Quite a few questions..... 1) the thread-size hole for the spacers to slide onto the hub itself has a bit of play, meaning the whole spacer has a bit of play all round when its on the hub......is this normal???, i made sure it was spot on before tightening up the spacer to the hub, i put my hand around the hub to make sure the spacer was flush...is this something that everyone has to do???..... 2) how tight should the nuts be that hold the spacer to the hub?and is loctite essential when doing this? 3) im assuming the nuts from wheel to spacer studs can be same as before? Thanks to all -
Hub Centric Wheel Spacers On R33 Gtr
nsta replied to nsta's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Thanks mate - so not worry too much about whether or not they are hubcentric etc....but more the quality of the bolt on spacers...cause mine look extremely high quality, they come with nuts for the studs already, are these the nuts you use to bolt the spacer to the hubs, then use your own custom lugs for the studs off of the spaceR? -
Hub Centric Wheel Spacers On R33 Gtr
nsta replied to nsta's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Thanks, i will be testing my wheels with spacers today, Ferni....in your honest opinion, do you think i need hubcentric spacers for my te37's???....and also, i run some pretty aggressive camber -2 all round, which may be why i can get more clearance from wheel to guard???? Thanks for everyones help so far. -
Hub Centric Wheel Spacers On R33 Gtr
nsta replied to nsta's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
for 15mm spacers and aftermarket volk wheels, would it be wise to keep my non-hubcentric 15mm bolt on spacers with extended studs coming out from it, or buy hub centric with ring 15mm spacers form justjap and sell my current? I dont wnt to feel i just wasted money on my non hub centric ones, but if its safety ill sell and buy the hubcentrics..... Thanks -
What Is A Good Setting For Street Camber?
nsta replied to nsta's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Thanks mate, much appreciated....sorry yeah i mean degrees, not mm.... How hard is it to install camber bushes, i dont my coilovers myself, but this may be more involved than that? -

Yes ive read the settings, but it doesnt advise how much each camber set can adjust so i can reflect against what i have right now..... Regards -

ive got some of my mates 15mm spacers which ill use to test first, i see more than that much room between the guards and wheel though, so may be too mauch negative camber??? -

Thanks, yeah they are 9.5" +12 offset, im guessing 15mm might fil the guards up nicely?i have a bit of camber both front and rear though aswell... -
Hub Centric Wheel Spacers On R33 Gtr

Thanks everyone, i'm about to buy some hub centric spacers, but need to make sure they are going to work, basically i have 18" volk racing te37 alloys and need to make sure the hub centric centre ring will fit up to my wheels when i put on the spacer???..... Also when you say to locktite the wheel spacers, i'm guessing this is for the spacer to the original hub nuts, and not the spacer to wheelnuts???? ....im thinking of getting 20mm wheel spacers (the ones you can get from justjap), will this be fine and not affect handling on my gtr??? Thanks, -
Hey guys, ive replaced my stock r33 gtr turbos, but was told it was hiflowed, anyway my mechanic hasmeasure the in and exh and wanted to compare to the stock figures???....anyone know them, as im sure hiflowed turbos are worth a bit more:) Thanks
