Well how much is it to do the ignitor?, is it anything i can do myself??.....and ive got a new bosch040 fuel pump that i could install.

Hey gys, i just put in some new splitfire coils.....and the car is still missing really bad, mainly in second gear and when i give it WOT, foot down.....i had them gapped at .8mm, and the car is only running .7bar boost....thats like 10psi isnt it? Ive got the following mods 3" exhast to split dump hybrid fmic apexi pod splitfire coils with ngk bcpr6es (gapped at .8mm) What else could i try to do? i havent reset my factory ecu for awhile, dnt knw if that will help..... Im really annoyed that my coils werent the ones at fault($550 later)

From what i gather, once the car has been reset(ecu)... 1) turn on car and let idle for 5-10mins 2)let car idle again for 5-10 mins with a/c on 3)take car for a spin, but just drive as you normally would, and not trash the sh*t outta it sound correct. im going to have to do this soon, as my car is idling like sh%t !and havent done a ecu reset for a long time

Hey people, ive been doing alot of oil changes to my car in the past, and need to know how to correctly top it up.... I just bought a 5l castrol edge 0w40, and filter too, doing both at the same time....but need to know the best way to top it all up. Usually i just loosen the filter, and the drain plug and let all the oil come out, then top it upin one hit.... but i was told to top up 4l first, then turn on car, then top rest up till the oil is at the high level on the dipstick....should i be topping up all 5l or no? thanks in reply!

All done, working sweet!, running .8mm gap and no missing whatsoever, and yes its easy as to install, thanks for the help!!! i was told theres two earths though, i can see one?

hahaha, thanks man just making sure......and you say theres two earths....well i only see one, can you guys tell me where the two earths are....i think i may have lost one, or broken it!

thanks guys, umm....well i just opened the pack, and theres 6 separate coils, and not 2 sets of 3 coils like the one under the cover....does it matter which order these new splitfire coils go in?,or are they all the same, and just have to be rotated to match the original base???

Hey guys, i got my new splitfires today, and am about to change my sparkies.....when replacing with new ones(bcpr6es-8), how much should i tighten them, i have no torque wrench....i was told a few amounts of turn, and not too overtight, i need clarification though on how much will suffice. thanks:) Also, im running 10psi, should i gap at 1.1mm, or .8mm?....i was running .5mm on my last set with the old coils to get rid of the missfire, will i notice better performance from getting the gap up higher again'?? thnaks

Hey guys, my splitfire coils have finally arrived, cant wait to install them today....is there anything different about installing these as opposed to the original coil replacements?....im running 10psi, should 1mm gap be fine?

What is the CORRECT way of doing it?.........is there any instructions as such?

I just rang our local new zealand repco store, and they provided me with some brake pad part no(he said they were ferodo ones), im wanting some good ones for the street....and heres the options he gave me for my series 1 gtst. Front DB1170 - in GP/XL's/FF Rear DB1220 - in GP/XL/FF i asked what the difference between the gp-xl-ff were, and he said its just pretty much normal brakes, medium perf, and track perfomance ones.... hopefully you guys know which is which?.....please help, i need some good front/rear pads for the street, and need to know which part no to go for. thanks:) Also, whats the best way to bed in brakes?, and what fluid is best to get at the same time?

Does it handle differently?, some people say that it feels like driving w/o power steering, others say it doesnt feel different at all, but way more responsive when going around corners, and oversteers more, which is what i want, cause at the moment, my gtst just wont lose traction at all, and i feel the response is really poor, cause ive experienced hicas a few times, and its quite scary when it unexpectantly kicks in!

done it guys, no need to remove the lines, but had to remove everything else....there was enought leeway to move the turbo off the thread w/o having to remove the lines.....i used a screwdriver to pull the turbo out, used some maniseal and applied the new gasket....the old one was f%kt. Car is running much better now, no missing, but getting surge still....will lower the boost. thanks for the help guys

Alright, ill try that and see what happens:), thanks guys. Is it a limitation of the stock ecu, and should i get the fuel pump installed anyway? Um...my coils are gapped at .5mm to stop the missfiring, which i knw sounds ridiculous, but its the only way for it to stop!. Ive since ordered splitfieres which should be hopefully arriving soon.....will gapping back to 1mm with the splitfires increase performance on the same boost?

Hey guys, ive got a 94 R33 SKYLINE, and when wot, after around 4500-6000 rpm, the car may give me a sudden jolt for a split second, and then go again, then maybe another 1000rpm and itll do it again, this is when im giving it WOT. What exactly is this im experience, i think its surging but cant be sure its an r33 gtst (series 1 rb25det) mods: 3"exhaust to split dump pipe FMIC apexi pod filter stock ECU boost tap running ~12psi i have a bosch 040 pump aswell, that has yet to be put in.maybe the car needs a tune now?

Hey guys, i just bought a exh manifold to turbo gasket, as mine is F%#ked...... i used maniseal around the opening where the gasket was craked, but that didnt last very long:( Anyway, what is there to replacing the gasket?....i know theres 4 bolts that need to be undone, but just from looking....it seems something else will need to be aswell, to separate the turbo from the exhaust manifold, so i can clean the faces, and then replace whats left of the current gasket, which i dont think would be much at all hahaha. Anyway, ive been experience alot of missing, and boost spikes recenetly, would this be the cause?,.....also my car sounds like a V8 with the noise!!!

ive got adjustable arms in the rear, and they are nearly perfect, with just a lttle neg camber, fronts are quite excessive though......Just need to know what the process is of adjusting, how much do i have to remove etc...

As per title what brake pads for the street on an r33 with around 180rwkw......, only street driving....i was thinking of the sss pads by endless, but theyre quite pricy, unless theres some deals going on, i think its times to replace both front/rear pads as well. Also, do i need to upgrade rotors when i get to my goal of 250rwkw?, and what fluid should i use when replacing the brakes? thanks
