Im wanting to buy one in new zealand to comply with regs when i import my gtr (usually cost around 9-11k for an r32 gtr), and just drop the whole car into the shell/chassis

umm, how do you drain the converter, i just used the drain plug on the bottom of the sump, i dont know if that drains the converter or not though???

im about to replace the whole gearbox with a 2nd hand one, 500 all up inc labour, though i've been told that i'll need 7L of atf fluid???, i only filled 4L after draining mine, the guy said that its ~4L for the Transmission, and around 2-3L fluid needed for the torque converter??? everyone i heard says around 4L is right

Hey guys, im thinking of importing an r32 gtr, as theyre so cheap to get now, only thing though is that i cannot comply it here in nz......what are workarounds for this???, i was thnking of buying an r32 gtr shell, and dorpping the whole engine etc into it...would this work, and be worth it or not?

wat mods did ya have done to achieve that time, and how much power did you have mate??? I got 711 kumho 265r, 235 f

cheers, well before any of this happened, i was going to fix up my car a little and sell it, so im really looking for the cheapest alternative, which would be to buy a 25t auto box (~300) and replace, correct?how much would labour cost for such a job? also im going to have around 200rwkw, will the stock auto box handle this sort of power easy?

yup 4th went a fewdays b4 .... and 3rds prettymuch gone......!!!, so its the transmission???, how much is it for a 25t auto???,or should i just go manual

Hey i dont know if i done it correct or not.......umm, i used the fill plug, which was on the passenger side of my car to drain the oil.....i then dropped the jack down, open the bonnet, took off the dip stick, and used a funnel to fill the trans fluid into my car (auto's have the dip stick).....is this correct???as i didnt see a drain + fill plug, only the fill plug on the bottom( i guess the fill/drain are the same in autos....as its there to just drain then?)

hey i just checked the fluid levels, they were alright, but the oil looked like water!!, i done a full oil change just now, and the issue is still happening, also reset my ecu.....

yeah it just needs a slight fill, could that be the cause?

Hey guys, whilst driving along the motorway today i noticed my car riding in "d" gear, it got worst and worst and before i knew it, i could barely go up to 30km....the revs would just fly up, and fly straight down, as if in neutral.....what does this mean, it feels as though it jams up in 3rd and doesnt want to go into 4th??? BTW 1st and 2nd are running fine, 2nd gear was wat i used to get bak home, as i revved higher but it was moving unlike "d".

hey thanks heaps ppl, i've decided to get a safcII and have it tuned, what would you say i'd be (~200rwkw)???, and what boost should i tune at, safely - 10psi ok?

Hey guys, ive searched for a thread like this, but havent found anything close!, thought it'd be a sticky somewhere but i guess not. Just want to know what cars you have, the power you're making and what times you get on the 1/4 Just so i have a good general idea of how fast cars are with their power output. cheers:)

thanks heaps ppl, i think i mite just go with the "r" like ive always wanted to:), umm the risky issue?why so, is it cause your running too much boost on the stock ceramics???, i wouldve though an exhaust/pod and tune would only benefit the car, with no real disadvantages??

What does it take for an r33 gtr to run mid-high 12's all day everyday?and reliably as well, is that a bit much to ask, or easily do-able?, im still deciding on the whole r33 gts-t mod it up, or just buy an r33 "r" thanks

why is the auto slower than the manual counterpart????, i feel my bottom end is really good, its the top end which feels very flat to me????, why is this??i would've thought it the other way around?is this a factory turbo thing, or cause it hasn't been tuned. Btw im thinking of getting an safcII and have it tuned, instead of going manual/power fc just jet. p.s my dump pipe will be installed coming monday, will this prove gains in my top end, my 1st and 2nd gear feel good, after 3 it's losing power im sure of it heheh Just thinking of what to do now....

so a tune is the way to go, how about without the tune, and 12psi?would that be a tad bit dangerous, rich condition etc....? And how about the tyres, are 265 rear too big for drag applications?

Hey guys im about to go to a drag strip and was wondering what sort of time i should be getting around roughly. Healthy running Auto rb25det motor, ecr33 series 1 coupe, with 255rears and 235 fronts Mods: Apexi pod cai 3" exhaust with split dump hybrid fmic turbotech boost tap @ 9-10 psi im thinking the wheels will slow me down as theyre so big, but would help traction as well, what do ppl launch their autos at?and how (hold the brake down and rev????) im hoping to crack a 13 (high) pass???any chance, hasnt been tuned yet, would increasing the boost for the run help of not??
