  1. im very keen on an r32 in the near future.......and was about to ask the same question, so how much would it cost to fix the oil and crank issue(without having to do a rebuild???)
  2. any more pics hehe
  3. nice ride dude, absolute buet:) exactly the type of r32 im after, white, lip spoiler and little dish and black rims thanks
  4. got any more pics of the car mate, like from the rear etc, ive always wanted to see what a white r32 gtr with black spoke/oilished rim wheels would look like
  5. thanks mate, why do everyone class the 33's as the weakest, i know they are marginally slower in stock form than the other two....when it comes to look, its always personal preference, i actually like the design of the r33 gtr's Anyway im gnna see what my importer has to say, and arrange some sort of deal. P.s what are r33's gtst's going rate atm, fairly stock fmic, zorst pod, 18" rims, and 170,000 kms:(, oh and Auto series 1 coupe
  6. Hey guys, just wanting to know roughly how much it'll cost to do an rb25 bottom end to rb30 bottom end conversion, Im using stock plenum and turbo, but depending on the price, i may go forward facing if its beneficial. Thanks p.s its an rb25det (vvt) head
  7. Hey guys would just like to get a few things off my mind before making the decision to go GTR. Ive currently got an r33 gts-t and was thinking of modding it, but for the price i'd pay, id rather get a gtr (4wd, good stock power, wide gaurds), just a better allround car in my opinion.... but dnt get me wrong, i see huuge potential in the gtst. Few thoughts on my mind though with the gtr....model im saving up for (getting a good deal).......is the r33 gtr. Things that worry me: 1) Rebuilds, how reliable are these rb26's when kept fairly stock?, i dont want to go all out, maybe 3" exhaust and pod aftermarket ecu 2) What are their main weaknesses even with a stock motor, and how to easily overcome these problems, if you can w/o too much money. basically as you can probably tell, im after a daily driven street gtr, but mildy modded, enough to keep me happy:) Like alot of guys have said on this forum, i have will save up enough for a rebuild before even purchasin the car, this will keep me secure. Its hard to explain, basically i just want to know how to keep these gtr's reliable cause i knw parts for them are high roller, and i dnt wnna sink my pockets too deep hehe.
  8. Hey bunta, silicon pipe sounds like an idea:), umm did ya enlarge the hole or not?, i dont see a point in doing it as the std one is quite big?
  9. so basically you just made a bigger hole right next to the std hole, and no real feed to the holes??and a heat shield...is that correct?why not use any piping?
  10. Hey guys, just been searching the last 30mins on cold air intakes for r33's. But i still dnt know what sort of bends i should use for the piping. I have a fmic now so i can use the std hole, does this hole need to be enlarged or will the size (2.5"?) suffice???I have a type m front so i can use the hole in the corner of the bar as my feed. Should i get one 90degree bend in the middle, or would straight - 45 - straight do a better job? Im thinking of using flexi-tube or pvc, do you goes mesh the piping? so big things cant go through or is this not worth the hassle/cost? pic below, lol done it in 2mins so bear with me hahah
  11. mm now this has got me thinking its a leak.......but everyone seems to think the whistles normal for hybrids so im gnna assume so, ive checked all my clamps and they seem tight, no leaks i can see anyways.
  12. Hey guys, moneys a concern and im thinking whether i should do rb30 bottom end first, or turbo upgrade - then rb30???I dnt think i'd be able to do both as its quite costly, but id definitely be able to do it over time. One thing though, i have the basic mods atm, rb25det 3"exhaust - dump pipe - pod - fmic.......now if i go the rb30 bottom end with these mods, will i see a good increase in power(with stock turbo)??Im thinking itd run hell rich with such a setup (stock ecu)

    3d Modeling.

Ok here goes, its real old work, when i was doing 3d extensively as a hobby, i was 16 at the time, and i still loved r33's back then i see a million thing i could improve on now, but i dnt have the time now http://www.3dcar-gallery.com/002_sport_061.../062_Naineo.htm
  14. Im kind of thinking the same thing, having a rwd 300+rwkw beast and being able to put it to the ground, im sure some good suspension/tyre combos will do it?
  15. I always hear of rb25de with this conversion, can you still do it with the rb25det (vvt), or is it the same thing. Im really begining to like this setup that people are using. p.s how much do these rb30's go for?
  16. Hey very good read Sydneykid:0, so it'd be better to go around 270ish rwkw with a more responsive turbo, than to go big turb more lag and 300+ rwkw?would you have went back to 300+ if you had a rb30 bottom end, cause im aiming for a 260-270rwkw car for daily driving.
  17. ok ill c wat he has to say, whats the aussie international code btw?im in nz
  18. Hey just an update, if you follow this link: http://www.greenline.jp/catalogue/bcpartli...=R33B&intake=FI im keen on the os giken TS2BD, im sure itll hold up to 250-300rwkw pretty easy, and ive heard so much good things about this twin plate clutch fom users, one thing though, it says nothing about inc a lightened flywheel in the package, though ppl say it does include one, it it does, im most certain ill buy it, if not, its going a bit past my budget:( P.s whats the main difference between the ts2bd and ts2cd?? cheers
  19. Hey guys, im getting my trans converted to manual in the following weeks, though i have yet to order my clutch/flywheel combo, im sold on the ogura 4.8kg lightened flywheel, but having diffuculties choosing the right clutch im thinking of getting a os giken twin plate, but dont knw which model to get, i heard you can get a flywheel/clutch combo from os giken as well??? Application, for a r33 25t to hold 250-300rwkw,and daily driven to work and back too:) What would you guys reccomend, the rates to call aussie are quite dear atm, have to wait till the weekend if i wnna call jim the clutch specialist thanks in advice!
  20. cool thanks, i was thinking about the whole waiting around for the turbo upgrade then going and tuning it all at the same time, though i dnt know how long itll be till i see all the parts, and being able to gather everything. About the cams, ive only heard good things about it, costly though and i heard that poncoms 256 were more ideal for the r33's? Im really after a nice clutch for the street, as that will be things that need upgrading 1st as the conversion will need to be done before eveything.Im thinking a single plate would suffice for the power output id like to acheive but others have me saying to go twin plate!, so confused!
  21. i had a similar issue, gapped my sparkies down a fair bit and ive never hit a problem since, i have got it in the past when giving it a flat foot when cold !
  22. Hey guys, im thinking ahead now and am starting to gather parts for my rb25det turbo upgrade. I'm after around 250-270rwkw and trying to keep the response good for street. Im going the 2835 pro s, dnt knw which A/R to get yet, but will do more study first, im sure this turbo will suffice for what i'm after. Just wondering what sort of parts i should buy at the same time to go with the turbo and make it a bit more reliable To my understanding these turbos can be low mounted so can use most of the stock setup, bar a different dump that comes with the kit. i think this is one reason im really liking this turbo, no need for a highmount manifold, meaning no need for too many extra mods, and looks stealth too:) Heres my Current setup r33 25t series 1 apexi pod, h/shield plus cai Hybrid Fmic 3" exhaust to split dump pipe Turbotech boost tap ~ 9psi (ppl still use these after bigger turbo, or go EBC)? 18" tyres for what its worth! Now what i'll be doing before going bigger turbo: - Compression Test/Leakdown...make sure i have a healthy setup currently:) - Auto to manual 25t (ogura 4.8kgs lightened flywheel, still deciding on clutch...help???) - Power FC + Tune....hoping for close to ~200rwkw - Maybe Bigger fuel pump? - dnt knw whether to go Bosch 040 or 044 I'm not doing the conversion from auto to manual, so i was wondering if theres anything that could be looked at/upgraded while the engine is out??? What else would benefit while doing bigger turbo? cams maybe? injectors, someone told me to lower compression, thicket gasket but im not ready to lose response if i dnt need to!
  23. yeh mine does the job well indeed, love the induction, can live with the whistling, all seems fine then
  24. By the way with a dump pipe should i notice more power gains, i have a full 3" system (inc frontpipe), and have a split dump coming this week.....i heard response is better, cant wait
