  3. Hey ppl, just kinf od continuing from my last post, any chance some ppl could post up their work wheels on their skylines, and if you have a r33, offsets etc...as i wnt to go work meisters very soon
  4. Hey guys, just went for a drive w/o my factory boost solenoid, after having got a boost tap, and i could not notice any difference watsoever, so is it ok to completely remove the solenoid from the engine altogether (like i have)??? i basically took off the one bolt holding it in place, no hoses were tapped into the 2 nipples on the solenoid (since i have my tap) , and i disconnected the plug connected to it, and placed the unit in the garage.and the plug that was originally connected i just hid away from sight. ive noticed nothing different so far, and was wondering if i can leave it this way, as long as no harm is being done.
  5. one quick note, im thinking of going frm my 18's to 17" wheels?would you reccomend doing this?, its more a money issue then anything else, and i kind of like the lower look of 16-17" rims/tyres
  6. Hey guys, im looking at buying new wheels, im addicted to jdm now:), im after some work meister s1's in 18", but dont know what offset to use, i have std brakes/calipers/rotors.... my car is low but not too low....and i want to know what rim size to go aswell.....im thinkin x8.5front, x9.5 rear, can i go any bigger??? thanks i reply
  7. replaced pvc with std vaccum hose, cable tied all the ends, all sweet now, gapped my plugs, and off we go, still only running 7-8psi, though she comes on faster with my tap:)
  8. hey guys, is it alright to use pvc hose (it wont melt will it:), as i had some spare hose in the right size, its very very tight fit, but the end going to the black box i could only manage to get over the knob part, and in about 2mm....is that alright, it seems very tight but im just scared itll come off again cheers
  9. "be careful when doing this, apparently there is a bar support behind the bit in which you wanna cut off. I've been told when i hit my panel beater up to do this that you have to refabricate a new support. maybe i need to find a new panel beater....cause i want the same effect" can anyone whos done it confirm this to me???
  10. cool as long as its safe ill take it off, since i wont be using it any time soon, how do you unhooked the wiring though and whats the wiring connected to????
  11. cheers will do it today, why is the stock one so flimsy???
  12. interesting read, how easy is it to remove the factory solenoid, and whats the purpose of the wiring thats connected to it, does that not function after getting a boost tap?
  13. can i replace it with normal vaccum hose?and what diameter did you guys get when replacing the standard one, as the standard one is very small, i was thinking of getting a one similar in size to the fuel reg hose...... and is it easy to take out the little black box to get to the other end of the hosE??? thanks
  14. Just installed my boost gauge, and t'd the line from the standard vaccum, goes from the back of manifold to a little black box, problem is the line is small in diameter to most, and the hoses that have been t'd into them keep ripping apart when i run boost consistently. So it starts to leak. how do most people stop this from occuring, ive cable tied the ends right now, but it doesnt look like itll keep it from ripping again, hose clams are all to big for this type of hose...... maybe something from jaycar mite do the trick??? thanks
  15. im curious as well, does the solenoid(factory) even need to be there now?, and what about the wiring?
  16. cool, so the plastic welder will cut and smooth the plastic, thanks for that, no how much do they tend to charge for such a job?
  17. great product, finally got it working, not a single hitch so far:) how can this be possible for so cheap hahah, anyway great product ,
  18. Hey guys id like to get my type m front bar looking like the one in the picture below, what precautions do i have to take, or how should i tell the panelbeater to get it to what i want??? its a stock type m series 1 r33 front bar, i want the middle cut out, i heard that some parts will show cuts through it, and needs plastic welding back on. most importantly, how much should i be charged for such a job, inc respray??? thanks in reply p.s, big ups to the dude that got his looking so mint:)
  19. hey can you please show me a pic of where theres an opening from the firewall, i still cant find one i can use to route my vaccum hose through from the inside.
  20. hey ppl, good news, got my controller working finally, got my stock sparkies regapped to .6 from 1.1.... no dramas at all now, missing has gone completely it seems very happy cheers, and the boost tap is actually working now since my missing has gone away:)
  21. hey guys, how much does it cost to gap the coils?, as i'd like to try this out, since my car misses heavy anything over 7psi!!!, who does this sort of thing, and how much do i need them gapped, i got stock coils.
  22. boost leak, so basically a hose letting off a leak, maybe a bad hose connected to the tap, what hoses do you reccomend
  23. cheers, i'll do that 2morro, any special type of hosing to use???, i usually just ask fro vaccum hose in lengths.... factory solenoid has been discon (2 nipple with nothing connected to them), though the wiring remains pluggen in.
  24. hahah, wish you made it sound dat easy earlier on, my mate grounded the white wire!!!, could he have screwed up the unit???, ive since put it back to normal....and is this trick worth while doing if you have a boost tap?
  25. funny, i always thought my car was spiking, but the symtops you show are exactly what im experiencing???, so its missing big time. Im havnig the exact same problem mate!, anything over stock 7psi (or 1/2 way on the stock gauge), will start missing, feels like 100 times a second, and yes fartings a good word:) just wondering if you've overcome the issue yet? do i really need a safc???
