  1. that seems to be a bit low. Mine sits at 3 bar all the time. I did before my tune had it resting at 24psi which i was told by the whole world was way too low. So i increased it and blew my spark plugs because increasing made it run too rich. I think you should keep the adjustable one as you modify later on for bigger power you can adjust it accuratley. For now either you can chuck you old one back on or save up and go to a tuner and get it tuned to run at 3 bar fuel pressure. You cant just put the pressure up without tuning the engine to run at it.
  2. Id say have a good look at the hanger bearing again. I have the exact same problem ... starts vibrating at 40 but goes away as i speed up (assuming it manages to balance out some how). Anyway took it in the other jack it up and drove it and it was the drive shaft hanger bearing that was f**ked.
  3. I currently have a RB25DET running all stock internals. Just reconditioned it with new bearings and ARP rods and all. Making 298kw (400hp) no problems (aside from the stupid gearbox ) since build and running strong. I would also agree that tunning is vital after build.
  4. I reckon those knocks are fine. Anything over 60 should be concerning. I run a pfc as well and i get no knock at all through low rpm and i get knock of about 6-7 at 2500 to 2800 rpm for some odd reason. I also get some knocks off like crazy 100 or higher the odd few times hardly ever though. Any my engine is still running like knew so i reckon after a tune ... you'll be all sweet. I wouldn't recommend driving it before tuning it properly though incase there is too much difference which may end up causing damage to your engine.
  5. Yes my thoughts lie somewhere with the driveshaft. Will get it checked out and see how it goes. Thanks Guys.
  6. Hey guys ... was wondering if anyone could help me fix my problem. I blew up my gear box (RB20DET) a few weeks ago and now have upgraded to a (RB25DET) gearbox. After the swap i notice a bit of vibration coming when im driving. Usually only in second gear and than comes back when im going around 100. My thoughts are that its the wheel bearings as the vibration was there before the gear box change but has gotten worse. Any thoughts??? P.S the gearbox was all put in professionally.
  7. ??? If it is the afm that's causing the stall than infact it would be. As the older version doesnt not have a map and relys on the data from the afm to keep the engine idling correctly. That's y the d-jetro version and all dont run the afm anymore due to this issue of back pressure and the pfc stalling the engine.
  8. I would say it would be the power fc. First of all what power fc are you using (d-jetro?) seeing as you have a afm im guessing you have the older one. I have a similar problem with mine. Atm making 400hp with the pfc and it drops idle alot when i put clutch in but doesnt stall. Any ive been told its coz of the pfc running a afm. Recommended to change the ecu or maybe try move afm a bit further from turbo as this will decrease the back pressure that the turbo gives off when you come off throttle.
