  1. gotta love the under bonnet matting being shredded. ghetto 33 FTL!
  2. would upgrading the alarm be as simple as plugging in a new 1 to the existing harness, not too keen on spending a great deal of cash on this issue (im a student)
  3. so my alarm unit died, well actually broke in spectacular fashion and i need a replacement... its a hornet 725m and the manual that came with it is in japeneise so it doesn't help much. Does anyone know of somewhere in vic i can contact to go about getting a replacement, i can access the box quite easy under the dash if that helps. http://www.remotecontrolcaralarm.com/wp-co...arm_image_2.jpg cheers

  5. yeah it looks half an inch to an inch wider then stock, big ricer style muffler (lol) and a small resi, will it be possible to quite it down?
  6. im about to go get my car tested/fixedc. But i am confused and want to know all the information before i fork out my money so... its an Rb25det, R34. so 90db @4800rpm max legal... when it was tested it got 89-91db @ that, but bounced up on 'deacceleration'...is that a problem? or am i just being screwed by the system?? i mean if its legal @4800...whats with getting busted when its de-accellarting at some other RPM?? thanks
  7. I'm just curious regarding the new laws on cars being manditory fitted with ESC. Will this effect importing a car? EG, if i import a R33 with no ESC, then try register and comply it in vic in 2012 after the laws are in full effect will it need to be fitted with the new parts, if thats even possible to do? "the new law requires all passenger vehicles and SUVs made (or first affixed with a compliance plate) on or after January 1, 2011, to be fitted with a compliant ESC system" http :cool:/www.goauto.com.au/mellor/mellor.nsf...25764D0007B2E8 I am quite confused...cheers
  8. In response to Shell... 1 of the coil packs were faulty. Car now has 6 new yellowjackets and 6 new spark plugs, idles smooth and no engine light. They were purchused from performance-wise, excellent service and friendly aftersales. i definitly reccomend them! Hopefullt you sort out your cars issues soon
  9. $600 fine?!!?! is that for repeat offences or 1st timers? i called the epa up, it was 90.4db, but 94db on de-acceleration...
  10. I got EPA'd at a defect station at 90.4db...and was told id get a letter warning that it is close to the limit. I just received a letter saying 94db and to get it checked/fixed. Im wondering is there any % leeway on these tests like speed cameras have 3km... or is it 90 flat. 90.1 over = defect??
  11. PS, is it fine to drive 5 oem coils, and 1 aftermarket until the replacement arrives?
  12. ok, I tested the coilpacks 1x1, and i have 1 faulty coilpack. Hope this helps people in the future, will seek a replacement now thanks
  13. I did the paper clip diagnostic on the engine error codes...It came up with; 21 . Ignition signal circuit• No consecutive ignition signal while the engine is running. Does anyone know what would cause this?? any ideas??
  14. " plate recognition" whats that for??
