yeah wtf is with the R34 seat , if i had 1cm more id prob be happy the supra stock seat is great, had like a meter above my head, but R34 my hair touches teh roof :S

a shop had my car, doing minor front end fix for 2 months if i rememebr correct. their reason was "insurance jobs have to be in and out in 5 days"...i was paying cash

n i offered a dealer 20g for one that he wanted 20.6g for n he wasnt interested at all, so i kinda gave up lol

damn thats cheap as i paid quite a bit more for a 2000 model, 80thous with books 3 months ago, and that was after looking for 2 months

yeah r34 coupe rattle king, if u search my previous posts youll see most pepople seem to assume R34 + coilovers = noise i hate it, prolly gonna ditch em for standard setup if there is no resolve to it

ok awsome, thanks for that, i will try greesing them up, do i put the greese only between the pad n metal or all over both sides? the noise is an annoying metaly cling scrapey type noise, not too loud tho, and thats wiht the metal shims (not greesed tho) the replacement pads didnt come with any tho

2000 R34gtt i changed my brake pads, front and rear, and as i was changing the front i noticed that the pads that were on teh car had 2 metal peices on the back of the pad, 1 peice is the size of the comeplet pad and the other half the size of the pad... now i put these peices onto the new pad, but i didnt on the rear as i didnt notice it until after the fronts...now should i remove this peice as i am thinking it may have been specificly for the type of pad that was previously on the car? changed to bendix CT standard pads ive noticed a metal noise when i drive past fences i thought it could be that moving around thanks

it looks to be a great car, if i hadnt just purchused i would be very keen, I spent 5 months looking and still it cost me well over 20g. It will sell, just gotta sort the genuine from the jokers

dont even justify the offers under 20g with a reply! whats even tripping on 15g for a manual R34, lay off the pot guys

ok, not regarding rattle, but how the f**k do i adjust the height on these!? i can get all 3 rings loose, can push the 2 top ones up and down to preload the spring. but i cant get the cylinder with thread to budge, i assume that it would spin into the bottom bit thats mounted to the chassis?

eastlink is f*ked, i got a fine 12 months after for $300 odd, for using it 9am the sunday it became tolled, the car was on the eastlink register aswel, if there wasnt monkey operating it, they coulda just charged the account that has the rego link, $2 instead of $300 a year later!!

interesting, might have a look into this, but i have teh springs with a tight pre load...so i didnt really think it would be able to rattle around? its driving me crazy

i have Apexi spec 2000 coilovers on the car, it seems they rattle as i go over little bumps in the road, or atleast i am assuming it is the coilovers that are rattleing on the rear, its on a R34 gtt, would there be anything else that would cause a rattle sound? the wheel bearing and arms etc seem to be in good working order.

i have a 2000 r34 gtt, manual with 80,000km and was after some gearbox oil, ive looked for a long hard time and are having trouble making sence of things. i just want to know what to get? how many litres and how much roughly it is, im in vic, eastern suburbs Also was looking at castrol motor oil for the engine but they dont offer a full synthic 5-40w?

i should add every R34 ive known of has had coilpack issues
