  1. yeah it's very dodgy.... I was at a car yard the other day and saw a 93 supra with 30,000km on the clock. i couldnt help but laugh
  2. car is 93 r33 gtr. what do you mean the globes might of died out? the headlights work fine. i wonder how many imports have had their odos' replaced/wound back... they all seem to have low km, i doubt they can all be legit
  3. the engine runs fine though, wouldnt the engine be screwed if it had been flooded ? i looked in the boot under the carpet, it looks ok... i think there is one odd thing though, the speaker covers in the back are missing... i dont think the speakers have been changed though. do sony speakers normally come stock in japan? the dealer was meant to get me some covers but hasnt as yet... no surprise there
  4. anyone have any clue how my cigarette lighter could be rusty inside? maybe whoever owned the car in japan lived in a particularly damp area or somethin? i guess that would also explain the condensation in the headlights.... a few of the lights on the instrument panel don't work either which i thought unusual as the car has supposedly only done 55,000km
  5. i used to get 400km per 60 litres but a few tanks ago i decided to add a bottle of that valvoline injector cleaner b4 i refilled and now i get 450km.... go figure... never thought that stuff actually did anything
  6. car was running fine and engine was unaffected same as the last time it happened. it was so loud though it sounded like a gunshot
  7. I was just driving home and heard a loud bang like something exploding. I'm not sure if it was the exhaust backfiring or what but I felt it inside the car. I've had this happen once before about a month or so ago. Is my car misfiring?
  8. thanks, I'm getting it checked out next week so hopefully it gets fixed.
  9. I'm unsure as I'm the first aussie owner and have no history of the car in japan, the driver side door looks as though it may have been replaced so the car could have been in an accident. Is there somewhere on the net you can lookup your cars engine no. or something to see if there's any history on it?
  10. It's definitely at the rear. It does come and go though, not like before where it was constant. I took the car back to where I got the shocker done to show them the noise but it decided to be quiet and so made me look stupid. Then when I got home it was doing it again, car hates me I think
  11. Ok there was this really annoying squeek coming from the rear left hand side of my skyline, turned out it was the shock absorber so I had it replaced and the squeek went away. Now a couple weeks later the squeek has magically returned! So WTF?? How can it still be there?? How can a brand new shock absorber just start squeeking for no reason? Does anyone know what might be causing this?? It's soooooooooooooo annoying, every time I go over a bump in the road I can hear it
  12. Ok I'm posting this here because all the Supra forums I've found are absolute shite. Does anyone have any idea where the AAC valve is on a Supra or if they even have one? I am trying to fix an idling problem but can't seem to locate the problem. Have cleaned out the throttle body & air filter to no avail. This thing idles like it's on drugs, just won't stay still!
  13. ok thanks
  14. How do you fix engine pinging?
  15. hopefully it's just coz the engine is under load... I'll be getting extractors eventually too so we'll see if that does anything thanks
  16. The engine on my skyline seems to rattle a bit when approaching 2000rpm in 2nd gear, is this anything I should worry about? Am I just shifting from 1st to 2nd too quickly? The car is NA and has only done 58,000km so shouldn't be having any engine problems.
