lol yea i got my belts and water pump changed at 100,xxx ks. Felt better but still not how it once was lol.. My belts were f**ked when i changed them, how the hell did u manage to get away with so many ks?????

The R34's advance and retard the timing by themselves to the furthest point before pinging occurs. I'm sure you can hear it when you turn the car on (inconsistent idle for a few seconds), its especially noticeable when you disconnect the battery and restart the car.

A guy was selling his R34 GT-R cams a while back and he said that they might be able to fit the rb25 (de and de-t). I'm not sure if thats true or even if they would be ideal in an N/A setup ALSO Is there anything cheap on the list below: * Motor (shave the head and/or block to increase compression) o Head + Port and polish (remove restrictions in the head) + Oversized valves (allow more air to flow) + Cams (regrind, intake and exhaust side to improve breathing) o Gasket (thinner gasket to increase compression ratio) o Block + Pistons (increase compression, light weight) + Crank (light weight) + Rods (increase compression) Wouldn't mind having more bottom end torque/power as i don't like revving high lol.. And on a slightly different subject, what would i need to replace if i wanted to restore lost performance (my cars done just over 104,000 ks now) and doesn't seem as responsive as it was when i had it at 56,000ks
-
I replaced the whole exhaust and intake, (yes even the intake piping from the throttle body) have a pod + heat shield. Got Tein springs and wider rims. I also had to replace the coil packs so i have brand new coils.. Only thing i haven't done is a tune, is there much a tune will do with such basic mods?? Btw its an R34 so it should adjust a few minor things by itself i think.. I'd be keen to do something else as long as it doesnt cost more than $2k (unless it gives an impressive increase to performance then i would look at spending more)

R34 Power In The Low Rev Range?
R34 -_- replied to skylinelova07's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I disagree, my na r34 is fast down low, they have more torque down low. Cant really say that there any faster in the high rev range. My car pulls pretty hard (for an N/A) after 2000rpm in 1st gear and then 2500 in 2nd and about 3-3500 in 3rd. all depends on how you like to drive your car. Only difference iv found is that reving high you dont change gears as often, thats *one* of the main differences.. Im not trying to argue or anything but some of the fords and holdens iv driven or driven in, are not fast down low, they are heavy and take a bit of time to get there power out. -
WELL DUH!! taking a turbo off a turbo car would be stupid, Turbo minus the turbo = low compression N/A vs NORMAL high compression N/A.. what would you prefer??? lol.... your meant to go the other way around, make the mistake of getting an N/A and then put a turbo on it.. not buy a turbo and make the mistake of taking it off. ROFLMAO....

When i got my exhaust replaced for a sports style,(from headers to tip) would they have changed the exhaust cam or do u have to ask for a new one?

What Happens When You Hit A Hare At 90km/h
R34 -_- replied to MissR34's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I hit a fully grown hare at 120Ks, and iv hit another at 100. Lots and lots of near misses with rabbits too. f**ked my front bumper and went through the plastic that starts under the front bumper and ends at the tires and finally went under the wheel which spat his guts underneath the rest of my car. ################***********#WARNING WARNING WARNING PLEASE READ#####################**** Rabbits and hares are totally f**kn retarded animals and you should never think that they are moving out of your way, the stupid shit for brains things will run off to the side and then turn around and run in front of you OR if you see them on the side of the road they will run onto the road (i don't know why) and commit suicide. p.s Chickens are dumb too . -
Iv read it on some website that talks about all the skyline engine specifications and that was a comment they made on the GT-4. And besides we all know you loose power with four wheels, make a GT-R Rwd and you gain a fair bit more power make a GTT or GTST Awd and you loose power to the two extra wheels. Non turbo 4wd?? whats the point unless you chuck off road tyres on it and go for a drive in the mud lol, but seriously the only good thing i could see out of it would be if you were launching of the line WHEN IT WAS WET, in the dry it would be almost useless. Dyno a GT-4 and then dyno a GT or GT-V and you'l see what i mean. my 2 cents.
-
My car used to idle funny when one of my coil packs was starting to shit itself. Happens every time i turn my car on too, something to do with the A/F ratio etc although my cars an N/A R34 not a modified GTST... lol
-
I know you don't want a FWD but a Toyota Celica (new shape) with some visual upgrades would look pretty nice, and with 180hp (approx) for a 1.8l engine it should be pretty quick. They are also pretty cheap too.
-
you should dyno your car and get a tune, would be interested to see wha kind of power an na r34 makes
-
The weight difference isn't really that much, and the r34s are newer etc so you wouldn't have to worry about replacing much when it comes to maintenance/reliability. And every model skyline Nissan made has more power than the previous model. In the end it comes down to personal preference and how long your having the car and what your doing to it. To be honest i would buy a cheap car to start with and when you can, get a turbo because N/A cars can get pretty boring after a while. No point spending all your money on a car and then trying to sell it later on to upgrade and find out its depreciated a shit load

For starters R34 rb25de with some minor mods is not gutless, its got a descent amount of power for an N/A. Im surprised no ones mentioned the 350z, save up some money and you could get a slightly older one, iv seen some go for as little as $24k lol... if your on a budget then id go for the face lift S14
-
im surprised no ones looking for a full east bear kit, they look f*kn awesome
-
i also must say that the rb25de is not suited for awd. if it was r33 rwd vs r34 rwd the r34 would win every time.
-
where did you get that bodykit from? that looks sweet love the front bumper

I've Got Another ' R34 What Is It' Question...
R34 -_- replied to AYW550's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
that system must only be for the GT4 becuase in my boot i only have the outline of where that panel should be, and if u take the boot trim out the only thing behind it is a vent. Maybe its something to do with the 4wd system... i don't know.... -
lol learn something new everyday..

I've Got Another ' R34 What Is It' Question...
R34 -_- replied to AYW550's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
whats that black plastic screw thats between the throttle body and the neo engine cover? you can turn it both directions, wtf is it for? (roughly center and on top of the engine) -
Popping Noises From Exhaust On Down Shift.
R34 -_- replied to iseekool's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
best example of that is on the v8 super cars. especially when they accelerate and change up gears -
Bodykits for r34 gt-t... what do u think
