Tyres you use(d) and how u would rate them

can anyone reccomend a good priced set of semi slicks 265 35 18 for my gtr. the car does mainly road kms, but not many, 7000km since i bought it nearly 2 years ago, and a the odd visit to the strip, and looking into a track day. want something that will give me good grip on the road and on the strip, that i can drive on everyday. just not getting the grip off the line with my current tyres, and the sidewalls are like jelly at speed, (cheapies) get what u pay for i guess was looking into the falken rt615, then also looking into toyo 888 and nitto's, but not sure if i want to spend the money on something that will wear so quickly. try not to drive in the wet so not a big factor for me. any advice would be good, cheers -

Anyone know if 18x10 +20 will fit under an r32 GTR without major modifications? It already has rolled guards. Cheers -
Is there the same amount of room in the front as the rear? I can get them in 18x10 all round just thought the 9 would fit better under the front?
-
Just wanna make sure that the rims I want to buy will fit my car, They are 18x10 +20 rear and 18x9 + 20 front. The car is lowered on tein coilovers and the rear guards are rolled, but will probaly run a higher ride height. It currently has 18x10 work meister s1 all round but unsure of offset. Is there a fitment chart available for the r32? Cheers

excellent post. my car is doing the exact same thing, will have to get in and have a go at this. where do you check the voltages at? sensor plugs? cheers

4wd In R32 Gtr Not Working
zr200 replied to Jez13's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
my r32 gtr did this at the local drags yesterday. had 3 runs, then lined up again and the anti-lock light lit up on the dash. went to do a burnout and only had rear wheel drive. after the run, which was basically a powerskid, i checked all fuses but nothing seemed wrong. started the car again and the light had gone out. lined up for another run and while waiting the anti-lock light came on again. 2wd again. is the fluid resevoir in the boot anything to do with the atessa, or only hicas? and is it normal for it to drop to minimim level when hot, but be on full when cold. want to go to willowbank this wednesday so want to get it sorted. guess i will start with the atessa ecu, then check for any loose earths. any advice would be appreciated. -
How Many High Rpm Launches Will A Gtr Box Take
zr200 replied to zr200's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
right you are!!!! anything under 7000-7500 and it bogs down. high boost (1.5 bar) low boost bogs even nearer to rev limit. (1 bar) high rpm launch in the wet with lots of wheel spin. -

cheers guys, not so worried now after hearing that, might just give it hell, and see how long it lasts. is there any cheapish ways of making them stronger, i have looked at the OS Giken gear sets, and others, but they are so expensive, and the car isnt that powerful. ?? plus its only a street car!!! -
