  1. plugs were put in when i had it tuned, it did the exact same thing to the plugs that i used to run before which were just normal ngks as you said. i didnt buy the injectors they were in the car when i bought it, they bloke i bought the car off said he had just had the injectors serviced. no i didnt get a reciept for them.
  2. apparently the bloke i bought it off had just done all the injectors? so he said. and how would i check the output pulse?? do i need any special tools? i'm guessing a multimeter. does it need to be on a dyno or just idling cheers
  3. ngk r5671a-7 plugs at 8mm gap. seems to be running fairly rich, unsure of afr's. have a dyno sheet but thats all, only of a power run. will try and post it.
  4. hoping someone can help me. my car is fouling a set of plugs about every 250-300km, and when i replace them they seem to look different? cylinders 1 and 5 seem to look good, but the rest are completely black and fouled. i had it tuned about 1500km ago, and it had a missfire, even when free revving. the tuner suggested cam angle sensor, but i have tried swapping it and still no good, then they suggested i get my entire ecu rewired?? however i dont think that would be the problem as i have talked to the person who tuned it when it was first rebuilt and he said the wiring in the ecu was done well. the car is an r32 gtr, with fully built motor and trust t78 turbo, with 1000cc injectors, twin bosch 044s, ems 8860 ecu. the car has splitfire coils, but i am guessing they are as old as the rebuild, which was 2004, are these known for failing. is there a way to check them to see if they are working fine?? any help would be hugely appreciated as i am looking at taking the car to a shop to find the problem, which i guess would be rather expensive. definately if i have to get my ecu rewired. cheers
  5. bought it from a bloke in sydney, he didnt drive it much at all, i think he said he drove it about 5 times the whole time he owned it (2years). and he bought it from the guy who paid to have it built, which was done by ADVAN performance in silverwater. yeah i run it on 98 but the guys were pretty adammint that it would need race fuel for higher boost. still trying to sort out the missfire issue though. only getting about 250km from a set of plugs, and when i replace them they are usually all different colours??
  6. murcury motorsports in brisbane recently tuned it. they didnt want to go past 21 psi unless it was running race fuel, said it would detonate. so your saying it has standard rods?? seems silly to rebuild a motor and not do the rods!! cheers for the help mate
  7. excellent mate, if you know, i would like to know the specs of the engine, what was used, bottem end and top end. and the ecu that was used. was the 400 kw on pump fuel? just trying to figure out why its not making that power anymore. It recently made 360kwatw on 21 psi. and thats the lowest boost setting. and why the ecu was changed? it has a missfire, and when i had it tuned the tuner told me it could be the ecu wiring causing the problem.( sounds like he was trying to sell me a new one) any ideas ???? so dunno what to do, maybe try another workshop and see if they can find the problem. but yeah, awsome car absolutley stoked with it!!!!!!!
  8. just wondering if anyone knows any details about the ALLSET GTR that was around in 2004. i have recently bought it and am trying to find out as much about it as possible. would like to know what ecu it ran, as it now runs a ems 8860 but dosent seem to be making the power that it used to. it now makes 360kwatw. i would like to get it back up around 400. was thinking autronic or vipec, but from what i can work out it used to run a link. cheers
  9. anyone have a copy of SPEED magazine #18, they would like to sell. let us know. cheers
  10. yep, murcury are tuning it on tuesday!! we will see what it makes on the dyno. cheers
  11. yeah bout 2 1/2 hours from brisbane, could they tune it?
  12. were are they? i am in north east nsw or about an hour south of the gold coast
  13. http://www.autotechengineering.com.au/ECU%...ing/EMS8860.htm this is it here
  14. it is an EMS sequential motorsport ecu 8860.
  15. its light blue, will get in tomorrow and get its details.
  16. anyone know where the best place to get my r32 gtr dyno tuned on the gold coast or brisbane? it has an EMS motorsport ecu, i know nothing about it cause i just bought it. any help would be great as i am going through plugs very quickly cause it has a race tune at the moment. cheers
  17. looking for some rims, looking for something around 17x9 +22 front 17x10 +22 rear. WORK's or VOLK, something with a nice chrome dish, but not mesh spokes. cheers
  18. so i have a z31 200zr, which has been lowered with kyb adjustable shocks and rising rate springs, front and rear, and with cusco strut braces front and rear, and what looks to me like adjustable camber "things" on top of the front strut towers. however the rear wheels seem to have way to much camber, they have that race car look, but this is not good for tyre wear. does any one know if there is some sort of way of adjusting this, or fitting something to make it adjustable? the car has 19' rims, and there isnt alot of room between the tyre and guard, i was wondering if maybe that was the reason for the camber? the car came with all this fitted from japan, so i have know idea about it. any ideas?? cheers
  19. hey, anyone know of a good workshop in the gold coast / brisbane area that do custom intercooler installs, for a reasonable price???
  20. just wondering if anyone has found an intercooler kit that will fit into a 200zr, i know there wont be a kit for the actual car, but is there one which goes close, i am looking at a greddy mspec on ebay which is for the r32gtst, as my car has a silvertop swap, will it be a close fit?? and also what is involved in fitting? is there any cutting involved, except the front bar of course? cheers
