  1. gst-t.. What a champ your dad is for hooking you up with it. drive it for a few years then decide what to do its the only natural progression. Just dont spend more than 4k on mods.
  2. usuckpoo: uhm, we're talking about stock to stock. How many v8 turbos do holden make?
  3. Belgarion: I agree. I personally think the new Honda Odyssey is the ultimate people mover! And how awesome would it be if they where everywhere? They are not as high, you can see past them/through them easily, not petrol guzzling big bastards, they are sleek and they belong in the city. They look a lot classier than some shitty prado imho, too. Why isnt there more cars like this on the road for moving around kids and families? They are a lot safer. Probably drive a lot less like a boat as well
  4. If the guy hasnt responded in more than 7 days call the police and tell them what happened.. Hope you get your money back
  5. I hate to break it to you, but Anal insertion is the only way.
  6. R33_Convert: I guess you live a sheltered life at the shunshine coast away from the Brisbane soccer mums.. good for you
  7. Unfortunately when you buy your car from a supplier and not a Japanese Car Auction, there is no guarantee on the condition of the car, no auction rating and its a bit more of a gamble because your relying on the word of a car dealer as opposed to a government regulated system. It seems to me as though most of the people who report problems on the forum have sourced their car from an independant supplier. My car is one of these, and it was a necessity because there was simply no examples coming up at auction that matched what I wanted (something as close as possible to stock standard and tidy) My car was sourced from the supplier mentioned a few times above, and I was basically told that even though the car has been said to be "mechnically sound" by an independant mechanic, which means absolutely bloody nothing afaiac, the condition can only really be based around the pictures of the vehicle. Which look quite good. The reason my car has taken so long to leave japan is purely because the car was sourced through a supplier and not bought from auction, in my case. In the meantime i'll keep my fingers crossed that theres nothing seriously wrong with the car
  8. cat back exhaust? stuff that, mate go to a real muffler shop and get a 3" straight through w/ dump pipe from the turbo to the tip. Then go to a radiator place and get a front mount intercooler. If you want more power get a greddy emanage or any kind of fuel mixture controller, then take it to a reputable dyno workshop and come back and show us what kind of power your putting out The Monaro is a lot heavier than your skyline so I would agree that you dont need to do much more than 200rwkw's to beat him. But with the main basics covered and dial up some boost to maybe 16psi I think you will suprise him But if this sounds great to you, I'll tell you right now if you are saying money is not a problem and you would do those things, it might be a good time to sell your GTS-t and upgrade to a GTR. That would be a great time to flex some jap muscle back at his v8
  9. Lithius: just use some creative settings in the 'advanced search' area and you'll be able to figure it out for yourself
  10. cowie165: Mate i'm shocked to hear what happened. I too am using the same broker as you. PM Sent..
  11. r33_convert: A few points I would like to make. 1. I find it very hard to believe that the "majority" of you use them as an intended true work horse. You just have to do a basic google search for the statistics so you can see for yourself. 2. We all understand the mechanics involved in driving a 2.5 tonne peice of metal, thats the entire point of why so many people are pissed off with 4wd owners. The majority dont know how to drive them. Once again do a search and look at the statistics. 3. Please dont preach about the "great outdoors" when your 4wd spends most of its life in peak hour traffic. I have a 4 door 4 cylinder for driving around the city, and the petrol guzzling gtr for the weekends and the track. Why do you feel that your 4wd should be used any differently? It's cool that you acknowledge the responsibility that goes along with owning a 2.5tonne 4wd, but what about the fact that 99% of the 4wds in the city are being driven by clueless bimbo mothers with no idea? You sit up pretty high all day, you get a good view of whats going on.. cant you see these other 4wd owners giving responsible 4x4 owners a bad name??
  12. well at least your car will have a new fully sick, brand new "JAP SPEC clutch" when it gets here right?
  13. theres absolutely no comparison between a 33 gts-t and an s15 put it that way like comparing a cruise liner to a jet boat..
  14. yeah having to make an account on another forum to view pics is pretty rude
  15. yeah cars like that sit in dealerships for a long, long time waiting for that perfect sucker with too much money..
  16. My local exhaust shop guy is a bloody legend. Check out Vaughn over at MUFFLERPRO Seventeen Mile Rocks (Western Suburbs).. this guy runs a very honest and friendly operation. The crew down there are heros and deserve trophies some of the stuff they have acheived These guys charge very very reasonably for the work they do as well, and your more than welcome to come in and have a look under the hoist and see whats going on.. theres no attitude problems about having a look at whats going on in the workshop.
  17. Feelin the love baby.. Edit: Btw, Your cars new mags remind me of HotWheels cars..
  18. Maybe the s15 costs less because its got a smaller engine, its a smaller car and doesnt come out in a 4-door model? The s15 responds far better to modification than an r34. S15 is a sports car, the r34 25gt or gt-t drives like a family car in comparison. Get the Silvia Once you have driven all these cars and know more about them.. you'll realise theres two options.. either a silvia or a gtr. Dont bother messing around with gts-t's unless you have kids
  19. Duncan: Got any pics?
  20. I agree with the "its better to pay more for the best condition" comments.. If it drives like brand new and the km's are actually genuine then its quite a good buy.
  21. Congratulations on your new purchase. Welcome to the board. Sounds like a nice tidy r33 you've got there. Click "Quick Links" and then click on Edit Profile. You can upload pics of your car in there
  22. Hey Guys, I've never had insurance before and I am 23 with an r32 GTR. Famous where really nice to talk to over the phone but could not quote me a premium less than about $3k. Just Cars gave me an automatic rating 1 because I have been driving for more than 5 years, and came in at $1475, and for an extra $35 I can get rating 1 protection. Famous are probably a good option i've you have been driving for less than 5 years, because last year Just Cars where asking for a premium of $3,700 for the same car. Moral of the story? Drive cars that cost less than $15k or are cheap to insure until you've been driving for more than 5 years.
