So in other words your a tyre kicker? You went there knowing the price, the car met and exceeded your expectations and you didnt buy it? :devil2: Dont take it personally, theres a tyre kicker in all of us. Especially when it comes to GTRs.

I dont think that car is worth one dollar over $39,500 Remember, it probably cost the dealer about $32,000 and he wants to make about $15,000 off you. If you can live with that then buy it. I'm just letting you know how much bargaining room you've got, and at that price i'm sure they are not exactly getting a flood of interest. With that said its quite a nice and tidy car though. I think importing one yourself would offer a low enough risk to be worth the $15k you'll save. The trade off is that you'll have to wait 3-4 months before your driving the car around.

I got the email, thanks GTRman.. I'm going to try and rope in one of my best mates who just imported a TT 300zx, and my neighbour who has a WRX If my car is ready for the day, I will be doing the run in a completely stock standard r32 gtr. It will be great to get a time to work from.

Can I take one passenger, assuming they are wearing a helmet and the right clothes/shoes?

Duncan: Yeah but everyone knows r32 GTR's arent very quick. :jester: Though jokes aside, BRASCO has a total budget of about 12-13k which would probably more suit the s13 or gtst with mods theory, as opposed to a gtr that needs money spent on it..

I'd definately go buy an s13 and drop an rb26 in it.. Even a standard sr20det s13 with exhaust, fmic, upgraded turbo, boost, suspension, computer.. will absolutely haul ass and be a hoot to take to the track. Because this is a skyline site, you could go the r32 gts-t with rb20det and the same mods.. your going to get better times with the same mods and less money spent in the s13 though. Just make sure you get a whiteline kit so it takes the corners more like a race car and less like a drift car. Your going to need some pretty wide tread on it as well.. Do you have a budget in mind? Maintenance? Rebuilding an rb26 will cost more than an sr20/rb20

Bek, that car is dope! I love it, nice body. Very straight.. rb25de for sure, especially if your dad is against turbos. That engine wouldnt tear your chassis in half either. Gtr engine is a bit of overkill

Absolutely! My two best mates purchased their cars after I bought mine and I have had to sit as a passenger in a twin turbo 300zx and twin turbo 2jz celsior for the last 3 weeks.. its been very painful When I drive my friends car it doesnt make me feel better.. just gives me more turbo anxiety!

So Lukas what kind of work are you involved in? Do you have to find work in cairns?

I'd buy an Sr20det silvia instead for $14.5k.. faster, better at stopping, better around corners, looks better.. If the r31 was $10k.. now that would be more like it.

I have confirmation and it loads today. I guess we dont find out 100% for sure until the B/L's arrive.
